If he is self-employed, he does not have this information. He has to file 1099, but when u are self employed, your tax deductions reduces your income.

Bjorn&lyne reacted to mlh in I need an answer...
You might want to do a search of the forums here as I seem to recall a few months ago this same question came up and the couple got married in Indiana (he was from Wisconsin) and the USCIS declared the marriage invalid because his divorce was in Wisconsin and the decree actually stated something about getting married anywhere for 6 months, and they had to start the process all over again.
I also think that I've seen posts that you cannot apply for the K-1 until after the 6 months because you have to be "eligible" for marriage at the time you apply.
I'm at work right now, but if someone hasn't also commented later today, I'll try to find the posts that I'm referring to.

Bjorn&lyne reacted to Stressed Out in Spain address, how to write for I-129F
Yeah just leave it in the original language. I wrote my addresses in German as well, I only translated "Deutschland" to "Germany". Same as "Espana" to "Spain". The rest can stay the way it is.

Bjorn&lyne got a reaction from ForgottenNotes in FedEx or DHL?
I always use DHL and works great. My Filipino recommends DHL too to me. Usually takes 3 days, no more than 4, from the US East Coast to delivery in Manila.

Costs can vary anywhere from 3K to 40K depending if you need special services. You might qualify for Medicaid under the guidelines. Here is a link to information about that. The state you will move to will decide if you qualify or not so you need to research or contact the particular state and ask if you qualify under Medicaid in their state under your circumstances.

You mentioned Philadelphia, which is Pennsylvania, so here is the Medicaid link there you can use to contact them and ask.

Some other forums claim you need to have lived in the US at least 5 years and paid taxes to contribute to the system to qualify for Medicaid on Green Card.

Bjorn&lyne reacted to JimmyHou in Do I have to renounce my US Citizenship if I become an Australian Citizen?
The answer is that you will almost surely have no problems, but here's what the government says on this issue.
For a US citizen:
If you become a citizen of another country automatically (without applying), then you do not lose US citizenship.
If you actively seek another citizenship and you apply for it, your US citizenship MAY technically be at risk.
But this is something thst is almost never (if at all) enforced. I've never heard of any such cases.

"Loss of Citizenship
You will not lose your U.S. citizenship if you gain foreign citizenship automatically, such as through marriage. However, you may lose U.S. citizenship if you voluntarily apply for foreign citizenship."

Bjorn&lyne reacted to Caryh in How long do we have after K1 visa marriage to adjust?
illegal alien is a layman's term, so as many layman's terms go, is defined differently by different people. USCIS actual has their technical definitions of what each type is. They might use illegal alien, but when they're defining them legally for admittance or deportation, they'll use their legal definitions, such as presence with out authorization, or entry without inspection. But by layman's terms, a k-1 is essentially an illegal alien after 90 days and before they file to adjust status because they no longer have authorization to be in the USA.
