We will be moving pretty soon in ( 2 weeks ) and I haven't submitted my ROC packet ( I am actually waiting to get settle at our new home get our permanent address and send the packet after that ). I still have about 1 1/2 month before my green card expire. QUESTION: Do I have to notify USCIS of the change in address? thank you!

yes, you do. If I were you, I would send the package in. and then change the address. Unless its changing the service center. Dont wait. Thats my two cents

Thank you KASH and nov14filers! We received a text and shortly after that a email stating that the case is updated and card is in production. It's been a ride. How many of you are going to apply for citizenship? I'm undecided on whether or not I'd want to do it. I have 10 years to figure that out now. Thanks again. It took 7,5 months, several calls to check on case with tier 1 (~3-4), two calls that were transferred to tier 2, and one service request to finally hear back.

We should stick together for N 400 filing i am thinking. I am sure Kash2011 already knows the amount of paperwork needed to file N 400. Kash2011: Is there a list of comprehensive paper work needed for N 400 somewhere? may be I can start building up from now on. I would like to file in time to be able to vote in 2016. :-). probably Hillary or Paul. Yes...thats quiet a contrast. :-)

I'm planning to send my I-175 later this month. We have no children together and no plans to have any.

So far as evidence I have

Joint Tax returns from last 2 years,

Copies of the joint apartment lease for last 2 years

Front/back of our credit cards (same acct and number, but in each of our names,)

Joint bank account info, bank statements for our joint account for several different months of the last 2 years, Health insurance information (last year I was on his, this year he is on mine,)

Copies of utility bills in both our names,

Copies of drives license (shows name change to his surname)

Copy of recent purchase of a new vehicle in both our names

Various pictures taken in the last 2 years - should I also include the same pictures I sent in my initial visa application that showed visits, etc?

Signed letters from friends - how important is it that they are notarized?

Is this enough or do I need more?

include the entire tax return. ALL pages..even if it is 2 inch thick for each year. Get tax transcripts from irs.gov website. its free and takes 5 mins to down load. if you have a total of three years returns, include them as well. including the most current ones-2014.

The wait is finally over. Approved after 225 days of waiting. I'll list what we send in our package tonight, at work right now. I hope to see all of you being approved very soon, I know how you guys feel, hang in there! Have a great day everyone We're beyond happy to be done with this.

Preparing our I-751 package. They want bank statements. Does that mean all 4 to 6 pages of each and every monthly bank statement of every joint account we have over the past two years? Or will they be happy with the cover page of each month? If not I will be sending hundreds of pages of bank statements alone as we have 5 or 6 joint accounts. I don't want to send too much...but I certainly don't want to get an RFE, etc...

Send ALL you can. Do not wait for them to contact you again. I would send ALL pages of each statement so it does not look like you are hiding something. There is NO SUCH thing as TOO MUCH.

I sure did...they said that the Tax Return was incomplete which is rubbish, they said that the bank statements wasn't for the entire time we were married so I need every single statement, I sent a bill showing we bought the car together, I sent two affidavits, photographs together, car insurance.

Any further documents to send?

I would send a cover letter listing all the documents you have attached in the package. send them any and all including kitchen sink. I would overwhelm them. Including a bunch of pics with notes on it

I am applying to remove conditions in order to get my 10 years GC. I thought for some reason for immigration makes no difference since you have an open case of any kind. Since that is not the case...are you eligible to apply for citizenship 90 days before your 3 year anniversary from your first GC or you have to wait for the 3 year mark to the day before you submit the N400?

plamjordan11: Looks like vsc is running at around 6.5 to 7 months. I am sure they take it in hand around that time and if they need more docs they request RFE or push it forward for approval.

I can't remember off the top of my head, i'm at work now. Was just wondering if Biometrics was a step AFTER they review your file, BEFORE they review your file, or if it had nothing to do with it. Thanks for the heads up.

Did you keep a copy of the entire package you sent out?

The officer is not the final person who decides! They probably sent your file over to their supervisor who approved your application otherwise you would have received a request for evidence (RFE) or a denial notice! Alright....time to party

Did you not send all of these documents in the first packet? All bank statements, car insurances, life insurance policy, affidavits?

Yes I travled with expired green card. It was no hassle. Immigration office didn't even bother to see my extension letter.

I would have cancelled my cruise. A lot of times, it takes about 1.5 month to reschedule.

My case got approved ! =)

CSC is moving. its just the VSC.

Me neither. I was hoping that I was going to be a citizen by November 2016 but that may not happen now until after the election. I told my husband that if I get my citizenship before November 2016 that I would be voting for Hillary. His response was that he was going to divorce me if I did lol!

Moemac59: If i am naturalized before election then I will also be voting Hillary for general. but will be voting for a republican candidate for house and senate. This is VERY reason they dont want us to get naturalized before the election. I believe that most recent immigrant vote democratic. :-)

VSC is a free school to learn patience.

5 months waiting = Masters

8 months waiting = PhD

So I guess the longer, the better.

They want to make sure that we are trained well. Because there will be a longer wait during N 400 time.

We filed for I-751 as early as we could, which was back at the end of april 2014. We received no notice or anything until october 2014, with a RFE requesting more information (which is funny, we had a lot more stuff to send in this time, house lease, car, insurance) and we have not heard anything back yet. This seems to be outside the normal processing times for people in april, but sending in a request on that its taking longer than expected just nets us a letter saying there should be a decision before the one year extension runs out. Now, in the worst case scenario, if it takes longer than a year is it true that you're automatically extended for another year? I understand needing to go to INFOPASS and get a stamp if traveling outside of the country, but what about for working/drivers license? They require proof of residence after the one year extension runs out, would the stamp be the proof I need?

shoelace: Did you get an extension letter from that between April 2014 (when you filed) and October 2014? If so, you need to take that extension letter to DMV or get an INFOPASS from USCIS and get an I 551 stamp in your passport.

Is your case complicated?

i traveled with I551 no problem has come .

I also traveled with I 551 stamp in my passport. No issues while boarding the flight back from India.

We arrived around 1030 and were waiting till noon when IO called our number and told us we will be interviewed separately, first me then my wife (US citizen).

it took like 30 min then IO walked me out and took my wife. She was asked same questions.

We missed only one answer.
