  1. I never got a NOID or notice of expiration. I did refile a k1 3 years later but that was because my husband (fiance then) went back to school. We thought we would have heard back from USCIS during that time but NOTHING. When we refiled the 1st petition was addressed with what knowledge we had from the 1st interview. They had no grounds for denial the 2nd time around and he is now with me in the USA :)

  2. I have found out talking with fellows that almost every arab guy who has interest to marry foreign woman had a fiancée or close girlfriend who died under tragical circumstances usually before the wedding. It seems that this is a "nationwide game". I wonder who many of your men came out with such story.

    I would not doubt that. I bet they came back to life after the guy gets his citizenship :innocent:

  3. On the K1 application you have to answer yes or no to have you ever filed a visa application? He filed a visitor visa 3 yrs ago. When the CO asked him about the visitor visa, she said "who were you going to visit?" and my fiance told the truth.....he was going to see her. So that led her to other questions about her and their relationship.

    don't be sorry, happy to share!!!

    I'm really amazed that they even gave you the reasons of denial. Thanks for sharing :)

  4. Assalaamu'Alaykum/Salutations:

    I hope this finds everyone okay. I'm just wondering, has of the women that are engaged or married to their MENA men can upset you with their tempers to where you just want to withdrawal the petition?

    MM

    Just curious, have you met your fiance in person yet? I see you are moving to Morocco in December and getting married. Perhaps you should live with him first and get to know each other before even filing? Casablanca is one of the toughest consulates. Being that you only know your fiance since March and plan on getting married and filing on the 1st visit could be a red flag to them.

  5. SORRY my computer went crazy LOL

    anyway, I got an email on Thursday with the specific reasons for denial. "denial due to your fiances pattern of establishing relationships with American women , his inability to describe his relationship with you, and his inability to provide basic details about your life." OK he did have a relationship with an American woman 3 yrs ago which obviously did not work out, they never filed a K1 or any visa together. And as for him not providing the info....he had appropriate pics, emails etc, and if the CO felt his answers were not sufficient, well then isn't that subjective? I may interview someone and feel they are full of ####### while another person may interview them and not have any issues. THIS JUST ISN'T RIGHT. I do have my congressman involved. I also emailed the atty who is filing the class action lawsuit. Also, I talked with Mark Ellis. I spoke with him before I knew the specific reasons for denial and at that time he suggested I marry in Morocco. As for the diplomatic pouch, the number they gave me is not in the system according to the guy that answers the phone. So is it in a pouch sitting in Casa? Who knows???!!!! On Monday I plan to call the chief CO and see where I can get. My heart tells me to get married there. Maybe that will satisfy the above reasons for denial....? but you never know with CASA. I do not know any of you personally but I feel so connected to you all from reading your journey. I have all of you in my prayers!!

    How did they know of his past relationship? Sorry, just curious.

  7. My FIANCÉ HAD HIS INTERVIEW ON 10/26/2010 AND WAS DENIED THE VISA. ACCORDING TO THE LETTER THAT THEY GAVE HIM HE WAS DENIED UNDER SECTION 221g. FROM WHAT MY FIANCÉ SAID HE BELIEVED THAT WE WERE DENIED BECAUSE THE OFFICER DIDN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE A BONA FIDE RELATIONSHIP. HE HAD ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND EVIDENCE SUCH AS EMAILS, CALL LOGS, MSN, CHAT AND PHOTOS. TODAY I EMAILED THE EMBASSY REQUESTING THAT THAT THE CHIEF IMMIGRATION OFFICER REVIEW THE APPLICATION. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING ..... IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE ID APPRECIATE IT.

    Also there is a Middle East North Africa forum where you'll find many like yourself in the same situation.

  8. OUR BANK WAS ROBBED TODAY!

    We headed to the bank today to talk to somebody and as we're pulling in we saw all these police cars around the bank and in the parking lots around the bank and different areas sectioned off and a line of police standing outside. I said to dh that it looked like the bank was robbed. He said, "That's it. I've had enough with Wells Fargo." :lol: I asked him to ask the police since they were on his side of the car so he rolled down his window and asked them, "Excuse me can we go to the bank?" They looked at us like blink.gif and said no. Then I asked, "What happened?" The police officer came up to our doors and said the bank was robbed but you can go to the downtown bank. I asked which way was downtown and thanked them. If we had been there just a few minutes earlier like I wanted to be we would have been inside the bank when it was robbed and experienced that. Thanks to dh though we left 30 minutes after we were supposed to leave and missed the robbery. He had changed the time so he could do something before we left.

    First his card info gets stolen. Then my card info gets stolen and today our bank was robbed. Dh said he thought this kind of thing only happened in the movies. wacko.gif

    Bank Robbery

    OMG :huh: That should be a sign to close your account with them lol

    I know that WF merged with Wachovia which I used in the past until I noticed money missing from my account!

    I suggest you get your free credit report(if not already) at www.annualcreditreport.com and also file fraud alert with one of the credit reporting companies :

    You have the right to ask that nationwide consumer credit reporting companies place "fraud alerts" in your file to let potential creditors and others know that you may be a victim of identity theft. A fraud alert can make it more difficult for someone to get credit in your name because it tells creditors to follow certain procedures to protect you. It also may delay your ability to obtain credit. You may place a fraud alert in your file by calling just one of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. As soon as that agency processes your fraud alert, it will notify the other two, which then also must place fraud alerts in your file.

    * Equifax: 1-877-576-5734; www.alerts.equifax.com

    * Experian: 1-888-397-3742; www.experian.com/fraud

    * TransUnion: 1-800-680-7289; www.transunion.com

    An initial fraud alert stays in your file for at least 90 days. An extended alert stays in your file for seven years. To place either of these alerts, a consumer credit reporting company will require you to provide appropriate proof of your identity, which may include your Social Security number. If you ask for an extended alert, you will have to provide an identity theft report. An identity theft report includes a copy of a report you have filed with a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency.

    I hope all works out for you.

  9. Yea .i seen that in your time line..but why did u wait all that..may you please explain that to me..was it the paper work denial or the embassy denial.which one and why did it take 3 years for review?..waiting for your response.

    We waited to be reviewed. My Senators and Congressman told me that once our case would come back that it would take at least 18 months to get reviewed because the Vermont Service Center was backlogged. Every time I did a request we would wait and wait and then the same old story....pending review. Well that never happened. No notice of closure or anything for that matter. My husband(fiance then) chose to go to a trade school in Morocco at the time we were waiting so the program ended last year and then I refiled another K1 which you see was successful. I did use a lawyer the 2nd time around because I did not have the time to do it on my own and we had plenty of red flags to address.

    It could be they denied your expedite. Perhaps your lawyer never sent in ANY evidence. Please don't jump the gun until you receive the notice by mail.

    I know it's not easy right now emotionally but if you don't calm down you can make yourself really sick. I was so depressed and angered after we got denied the 1st time but I had to snap out of it fast to move on. Also don't take it personally, they are not out to get you.

  10. I believe as of November 23rd the new fee for the fiance visa goes down to $340 however the AOS fee goes up to $1090( I think). You will also have to add in expenses for travel to the US and if you will need any vaccinations in the US for the AOS. The marriage fees, cost of living.... You can't work until after you get married and file for AOS and receive a EAD/GC allowing you to work. You're looking at a few grand. :yes:

  11. Happy Hump Day MENA! My dh wasn't the only one that was targeted for the debit card fraud. I found a new unauthorized charge on our account and had to file a new claim. Apparently they also stole my debit card information and were spending in NYC. They had to close my card and issue a new one just like with my husband. We'll be going and talking with our bank about options.

    Sorry to hear about that. It could be internal fraud. What bank do you use? I would consider changing the bank.
