  1. Input your IOE # into the USCIS case tracker to see a tracking number. Should take 2 or 3 days! YAY!

O wow! I just did that. Expected delivery is actually today!! Lol...how I wish getting my SSN was this easy! I actually have a job lined up but the start date will be delayed because I don't have a number yet...but that is another story.

    Thanks!

Good luck to everyone waiting for their GC. O! I paid my fee before POE. my fee was paid 14th April,2015

  2. I checked this morning to see that the case status is now closed! Does this mean I will be getting the GC soon? I still have not received my SSN. There was some mix up with my name at immigration so my information had to be verified.

Can I track the delivery of the GC?

    POE: 30th April, 2015

    CASE SUMMARY

    Receipt ID:

    Request Type: USCIS Immigrant Fee

Case Received Date: May 6, 2015

    Received as: E-file

    Status: Card Produced

    Status Date: May 28, 2015

    Payment: Submitted

  3. Same here ....

My POE date is 30 April n today its been 28 days adter arrival n still not received SSN. We have check mark the box in DS 260 & went to SSA office too. But they told us to wait for 3 weeks,if not received then only give an application. Not received yet so,gave application on 26th n still waiting.

My POE was also 30 April...I have to wait until the 15th June to see if I get the card by mail. I have called the SSA to see if I can at least get the number but nothing. Im concerned because of the job. I have been told that some employers will accept you but just not pay until the number is available, but the employer can also choose to not employ.

    Good luck with your card.

  4. 4 weeks waiting here! I ticked that box for it to be sent to me but I went to SSA 2 weeks after POE. My info was wrong so my documents were copied and they said to come back in 30 days if no card is received by mail. Meanwhile, I WAS scheduled to start working next week but just found out I may not be able to because of no SSN.

I'm feeling upset and confused but I can't do anything but wait and hope that I can start working without one.

  5. hello all,

I need some advice here. I am a bit concerned. My POE was about two weeks ago at JFK. I happened to look through my passport just now and noticed there was no stamp. I am pretty sure I have seen an actual stamp in other passport with an expiration date like the one at the link below

    http://www.***removed***/greencard/sample-temporary-green-card-stamp-i-551.html

Usually on the page above (adjacent ) to the immigrant visa. I don't have that stamp. I only have a stamp with the date I was admitted into the USA. I don't have the stamp anywhere else in my passport.

What do I do? I am very worried here. Do I go back to the airport to immigration?

  6. I paid the immigrant fee for my wife after she got her visa before we depart for the U.S. It shows optimized while the status said "in process". That's good but I noticed "my profile" on the left side menu and clicked it, then noticed that contact information/address is empty. Do I have to update by adding contact information, passport number, etc? Or I don't have to worry about updating the information since the status is in process/optimized. My wife's Information is already on computer system??? Will green card be mailed to my US address based on DS 260?

Good question! Now you mention it, I read ages ago that the address would be required when paying the fee online, but I don't recall submitting it. I just checked and that info is empty for me. My US address will be different To the address I submitted on the ds 260. I submitted the new address at the visa interview though. can anyone let us know?

  7. They do not have to ask for 2014 taxes if the affidavit of support was SIGNED prior to April 15. It is not the law that they have to switch over on April 15 and all the previously done affidavits have to be done over. .

However any officer at any post can ask to see a newer tax return if he has reason to believe the person's situation has changed and they weren't earning any money in 2014. It will depend on what your officer decides to do at your embassy because it is a personal decision on how much evidence he thinks he needs.

If the person that told you interviewed at YOUR embassy in April without the newer tax return and was rejected, then maybe that's how they choose to be. But if you heard it from somembody who interviewed in Paris or London or Manila, it doesn't mean your consulate will be the same. So all you can do now is go to the interview. If they ask if you have a 2014 tax return, you can explain that your Affidavit was signed and sent to you a month ago so you would have it in time. The sponsor did not have their new taxes filed because they had until April 15 to file. So what they sent was the latest that they had on the date they filled out the form. Then you wait to see if they say it's okay or if they need so,ething newer. That's all you can do if the sponsor can't send you anything now.

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback. Yes, all I can do is wait.

    thanks!

  8. Sorry to drag this old topic up but I have an interview next week and was told that my embassy is requiring 2014 taxes. Those without it would be asked to submit them (and passport for visa) when they become available.

My petitioner won't file taxes until the 15th April so there is a possibility that is I am approved I will have to wait a few more weeks for the visa.

This is what someone told me. I am hoping it isn't true. Anyone with a recent immigration interview can confirm?

  9. Hi,

Your situation is completely different from this thread from 2012. The OP has two different paths to the U.S. You are asking about using the same path twice.

If you get denied, the case ends. There is no way you will get another interview and an approval in 4-6 months. You have to deal with why the K-1 was denied.

Hi thanks for responding. I guess I wasn't clear. I have an interview for an f4 visa in a few weeks with a k1 at USCIS waiting for NOA2. RED received yesterday.

  10. I didn't want to start a new topic. Just pick up where the original poster left off...I wanted to know, in the event of two cases at the same time if a visa is denied in one case, is there a waiting time that the person must wait before returning to the embassy for an interview?

I have an interview in a few weeks for one visa class but awaiting NOA2 (RFE issued yesterday) in the K1 visa category. If I am denied a visa in a few weeks would securing an interview and k1 visa approval be an issue say in 4 -6 months?

  11. Oh my goodness! Congratulations on the RFE! How exciting. Words I never thought I would say until this wait got horrible...

I got my NOA1 a few days earlier in the same week. I will try not to get my hopes up too high here, lol.

    Thanks!

when getting the petition together I was worried about getting a RFE, but after waiting 5 months it is like a sigh of relief..at least I know that our case was looked at. This process is so random.

One question...after submission of the RFE info. How long is the wait for review? Is it 60 days like the NVC? Also, will I get an email letting me know that the USCIS received the info?

Good luck to everyone waiting. Hopefully more of us October filers will get NOA2 or at least an RFE soon.
