I have 87 days. I found a name affidavit on Google.. I'm just confused as to the meaning of "full legal name" is that the name I was given at birth? Or the name I have now (married). I want to send this out tomorrow if possible.

Got a job today! It's just for the holiday season and not related to my career in any way, but I am so relieved to know there will be money coming in on my end soon! I start on Monday. :D

    WOO!!

  3. true, but I'm now worrying that if this guy takes his own sweet time (he's literally known for 2+ months!) with the letter, have we now slowed up our process? I'm already sorta bitter that people who filed weeks after we did have gotten their approvals (september filers?!?! boooooooo haha), and now I am being hyper sensitive that it'll take even longer since we've messed with it. does that make sense? Just got off the phone with Johan. he's worried about the same thing! :(

Haven't I been saying that the while time? I totally understand how you feel. It really sucks but if the guy truly wants Johan he will work with you. Just light a fire under him.

How much time did they give you?

  4. As I don't have experience with K visa AOS processing, my only guess is that perhaps they needed a copy of your NOA2 for the i-129f. I attached a NOA2 of the aproved I-130 to my AOS packet. Also as a side question, are photos needed for the I-765 application?

Best of luck.. hope you're back on track in no time.

It's not K visa.. I came on a B2 (visitor) AGES AGO. I was 11. Married my HS sweetheart recently. I tried adjusting under my dad when I was 19 (2009) but that was shot down really quickly as he was only an LPR at the time. I applied for and got deferred action in 2011. My dad's naturalized now but my S.O. had already proposed..

Edit: They need passport photos. I filed concurrently so I didn't have any previous receipts to attach.

    Sincerely,

Don't think I missed anything?.. Guess I'll just have to wait until I get the actual letter. Just now noticed that is says Request for "Initial Evidence".. dafuq? (pardon my French)

  6. what is the number to call for updates?

    I called. 1 (800) 375-5283.

The prompts are relatively easy to follow.. I went in as if I was requesting info on a specific case, put in the case number and the dude basically just reads exactly what you see when you check the status on the website. However, at the end he will say something along the lines of "If you have questions about this case and wish to speak to CS rep press blah".

You should def call. Best of luck <3

Definitely seems like a noob move. :(

Best of luck! You should hear something soon.

    :)

  7. I don't think I attached my marriage license to the i765.. It looks like that's the only file that was touched so they may need it? Can't think of anything I missed really.. we went through the package like 10x each before submission.

Also, processing times for RFE don't seem to be very quick.. I'll probably talk to my manager tomorrow and start training someone to do my work.

Kinda really scared right now >.>

  8. RFE for the I765 of all things, yeesh.

The only thing I can think of is the lady I talked to requested an expedite as opposed to a service request in which case they might just want me to prove that I will indeed get fired if I don't have my EAD by 11/7? Kinda like how they make people send in their job offers.

If that's not the case idk what they want because I didn't know an RFE was possible for the i765.

  9. just got off the phone with both USCIS AND our congresswoman's office. It's now formally expedited. apparently, the person in charge at my rep's office sat on it for over a month. so much for expediting. boooooooo We were told by USCIS that it could be 5 days before we hear anything. And that it's in Phoenix AZ. that was news to me! I thought for sure Los Angeles. At any rate, at least it's now moving. finally.

Jeez. What a meaner. Maybe he/ she didn't know what to do with it?
