  1. Hey all and good luck on the NVC process! I am now in my 5th month of NVC and just recieved/responded to an AOS checklist (my sponsor is self employed and made a mistake on the income part). Luckily when I called they said that everything else is great and all we need is this.... but I am wondering if any of you know if RFE's are taking another 60 days to review or if they are moving through a little quicker.....

I am 4 months pregnant and really would like to have my baby in the USA but that won't happen if his/her daddy can't be there!

Thanks in advance for any input...

Yes it will take another 60 days to review. I suggest you proceed with an expedite since you are pregnant. I am not sure of the steps you need to take, but have seen others on this forum apply an expedite when their spouse was pregnant. Can anyone elaborate on this? Thanks in advance!

  2. Hello,

OMG!! i got exactly the same error in my AOS. I too had a lawyer. You don't need the lawyer again to send it by yourself. Just get the I864 copy and fill the total amount. I am assuming your husband is the ONLY sponsor. Its the same number for his income in that line..the total.. Get a copy from him, then manually write the number and scan it. and then resend the whole I-864. thats it. Sorry you are going through this.

My lawyer had left it blank too. Technically, your lawyer, you or your husband can submit. Just go to Saylin's wiki and enter the information on the email exactly like she tells you, thats it!

Also, make sure to have your case number on each page on the top right hand corner (it will be written in the checklist email). you can even have it handwritten.

If i am not clear PM me and i can tell you step by step. By the way what part of canada are you in?

Hey sorry for lare reply. This whole checklist bs really got to me! Anyways like i said lawyers is MIA so my hubby filled out the AOS. My MIL is our joint sponsor. We printed the two barcode pages, we filled item 10, the part our lawyer left out, we hand wrote the case number on top right corner of each page and stapled it together. God willing my husband will mail it out tomorrow morning. I looked at the sample form and we are all good to go. Also, we got a second opinion from my dad's lawyer ( my dad insisted) and he said everything is good. One question though, on page 9, this section is for the preparer; the AOS is for my MIL, my hubby filled it out, so that means he needs to put his info their, right?

I am in Vancouver, BC. How about you?

P.s. You were very clear :) thank you! I just want to be sure before the hubby mails it out....

  3. Hey all,

We got a second checklist for AOS last week. We have prepared the corrected AOS. Our lawyer has been MIA so we had to do it on our own. Before mailing it to NVC I wanted to doible check with you all.

We are sending all 9 pages again. There was only one mistake on part 6 item 10. We made the correction and kept everything else the same. We have the two barcode pages in front of the 9 page AOS. On each page of the AOS on the top right corner we have hand written our case number and stapled all apges together. So far, is this all correct?

Also, on page 9, section 9 should we leave it blank? This AOS is for our joint sponsor. My MIL is our joint sponsor. My husband filled out her AOS. So he should be filling page 9 as 'preparer', right?

    Thank you in advance!

P.s. Been MIA bc the second checklist really hit me hard :( congrats to all the CCs' and my are prayers with those of us still waiting patiently!

  4. My personal opinion, I would remove the lawyer and send in the corrections myself. Although they have made the mistake, he is not owning up to it. He doesn't want to be held accountable it seems. I would demand to have my money refunded as well, since he caused you a delay twice. Also, please speak with a supervisor and see if they can let you take the corrections to the interview since the second time around, you missed something that was already there in the first place.

Soloenta posted nvc's directors number here on the thread, have your husband call him and see if a solution can be sought out.

Thank you for your response. Yes he isn't owning up to anything. I bombarded his and his paralegals email and then they both applied. I was pissed. I pointed out their stupidity and he has the audacity to tell me he wasn't careless and other bs!!!! I didn't even bother responding to such incompetence. Actually thinking of reporting him to the bar!!!

I will def tell my husband to call and see what can be done. I will try to find the number in the thread. Soloenta if you see this can you reply with the number??! Thanks a bunch <3

  5. Hey all,

I need advice! My i-130 was approved in March 12 2014. By the time we got our case number from NVC, paid the fees and what not came June and we submitted supporting docs Long with AOS. We hired a lawyer. The lawyer screwed us over and we got checklisted in Aug for AOS. Then we resent the AOS with corrections. Our scan date was Auf 27. On Oct 23 i got checklist again! The lawyers paralegal left part 6 item 10 blank!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo furious! I called NVC and so did my hubby, the rep told us it was a silly mistake and while correcting previous checklist item 13 a mistake was made. She asked us if we wanted to take the lawyer off the case bc of the mistake; she was shocked. Anyways, since Oct 23 my husband and I are trying to fix things and the lawyer is not cooperating. He is refusing to meet up with my hubby in NY to talk and look over the AOS. He has been ignoring all phone calls and emails. What should we do? Take him off the case and get another lawyer or just submit the corrected AOS ourselves????? My IV documents were approved the last time in Aug, my hubby AOS was approved last week, only my joint sponsor (MIL) corrected AOS needs to be mailed. I am sooo stressed right now and my poor hubby is struggling too

    Please someone help me

  7. My suggestion --- is that if your AOS bill hasn't changed from PAID to N/A or if you cannot take bad news, hold off till tomorrow or even Monday, if you can. I am sure you will get your CC before that.

Most probably you will see that somewhere by friday, or over the weekend, you will have to fees changed from PAID to N/A. if not, you can call on monday and legitimately ask for a supervisor review (worst case scenario) . Fingers crossed!!!!

I think there were a couple of cases in the october thread who did say they had a case complete without the N/A.

Thank you for your response! I have waited this long, i can wait til Monday ?

Mine too.. Aug 27 Original scan date for AOS & IV.... so far no checklist :)

I recommend to wait until Monday.... official 60th day

Fine! I shall wait til Monday ?

  8. After almost one year at NVC and NOA1 date of Feb 2013 (yes Feb 2013) and a NOA 2 date of Nov 2013.

Case complete at NVC, checklist scan date August 27th. They said case complete came yesterday.

I will admit on this journey we probably caused about 4-5 months delay ourselves with just dragging our feet completing the paperwork thinking it was going to be a breeze at NVC (this was back when it was 3-4 weeks to check documents). But after two checklists this stage is finally done.

But now we wait for an interview. Feels good

    Thanks to all

Congrats! Im 8/27 and still waiting. Praying that tmw is my day! Best of luck on your interview!

    :dancing::dancing::dancing: Case Complete! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

CEAC was showing AOS Bill as N/A, called NVC they confirmed case was complete. Last Scan Date was 8/28.

Congrats!!!! Best of luck on your interview!!!

  9. Glory to God
