@The Burts: And since she entered the US with IR-2 in Feb. 2017, she won't be eligible to submit N-400 until 90 days before completing 5-year requirement of being LPR: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator So we're talking about late 2021 to start her process if you don't complete your naturalization process before she turns 18.

Thank you @HRQX. I am glad we finally finished with this part. We submitted N-600 for her and her online status showing that it is being processed.

    Yes; "Quote" = reply.

How many months until she turns 18? If she turns 18 before you complete the citizenship process, then she'll need to file her own N-400 as an adult (i.e. she can't file N-400 before turning 18).

8 months until her 18th birthday, but they said she became a citizen on the day she got admitted in US. Just waiting for her Citizen certificate now and they also mentioned  that she will be scheduled for an interview. I don't understand that, I thought they don't interview under 18 years children.

Did your husband legally adopt her? Just being a stepchild of a US Citizen isn't enough to become a citizen automatically by INA 320. Can only file N-600 if she already (automatically) became a US citizen.

Here, back to square one again. Now I don't know where to reply to an individual post. I dont remember where to find REPLY button. I am trying to see if this is replying to HRQX's post. If so, yes all that is in order.

I think I just found it.

  4. Hi July 2020 filers. I filed online from Arizona for our daughter 17 years (N-600) and myself (N-400) after 3 1/2 years of being here on CR-1 & CR-2 Visa. We filed July 25 and the N-400 NoA received online same day but my estimation of case conclusion is 8/2021, my daughter's came on July 28th and showing that her case is in process already. As I have been reading on Visa Journey forum, I am having hard time knowing the difference between N-600 & N-400. I think I read some people filed N-400 for minors which left me brainless. I am totally confused now, but thanks to my husband: everything is done though.

Are you guys practicing for US Civic Test? How is it going? I downloaded an App (US Citizenship Test 2020) on my phone which is really helpful to study for Civic Test, just in case someone would like this helpful. Good luck everyone!!!!!

  5. Hello there again. I know it has been a while since I post at the forum but I got some good news today.

Our Visas are ISSUED today after 10 weeks and 4 days of waiting for medical results. This has been a very long wait and stressful road. Congratulations to all other visa approved and good luck to on coming interviews.

Now, 3 more weeks and few day AND yes; my family will be finally reunited forever. Good luck everyone.

  6. Hi all! My interview has been scheduled for January 11th at London consulate! So nervous! I have a question about the affidavit of support form.. I have contacted my lawyer asking for the signed original in ink as that's what it says on the interview confirmation.

However she has advised that the original was sent to nvc..and so a copy will be fine as they have the original. Can anyone give me some input?

She has advised me not to worry about it but if our visa gets denied as I don't have it and need it, I will be rather furious.

Also I have my documents organised in a file with pockets as that's easy for me to access each document.. is that acceptable?

Hello there. I think that will depend to the CO interviewing you. I was panicking 2 weeks before my interview about original AOS and my husband has to fill the same one, sign it and send it to me by FedEx which I received a week before my interview here in Africa. At the end, the CO didnt even ask for it; nor our tax returns plus he only asked me one question and unexpectedly I heard "YOU ARE APPROVED". Have your spouse fill one with same info, sign and courier it to you the fastest way. I would suggest that, you better be safe than being sorry.

All I'm trying to say is that, interview is one smooth process compare to NVC frustrations. You wont even notice that its interview sometimes as they just turn it into chat and before you know; you will be done. Also make sure that you have a copy of each original document that is required as they end up asking for them.

    Good luck

  7. Did they keep your passport? I can't imagine that the embassy in Singapore is slow with such matters. Singapore always seems so efficient in everything. That was my impression when I visited. Hoping for a speedy process for you!

You're almost home. It can't take much longer for the embassy to receive satisfactory medical results. At least they have your passports already so as soon as they get those results they can print those visas for you. January will be your homecoming month!

Thank you my dear JFH and thank you more for being with us in this process after your reunion. May God bless you. Hoping that you having good time home.

I cant wait to give you all exciting news when I got my visa in hand.

  8. @JFH

They were quite efficient actually told me once I have the docs I should submit it together with my passport. Probably 3-5 days to issue once they have all that they need based on most of 221g here. Passport was given back to me since I might travel and the wait for the tax return is really dependent with my joint sponsor.

I am just glad it wasn't outright refusal. I was grilled with my husband convictions, just like yours they wanted to make sure I knew it all.

    @ The Burts

Praying for all of you. I am sure you'll be home by next month. Hugssss...

Thank you Ervie. Praying for smooth and speedy process for you as well.

  9. Merry Christmas everyone. Checking in again :)

We are still here in Namibia waiting for our Visas to be printed once the Embassy receive my tb test from the doctor. Im on the 7th week on December 31st 2016. Im actually 6 weeks and 3 days today but I havent receive any call or any information from the doctor yet. Our 221g requested only our passports which I already sent and received on December 14th.

Hoping and praying that our visas will be ready 2nd week of January and we can start talking about going home. Man............this is very frustrating.

Congratulations to all interviews approved and good luck to new life to those ones reunited already. Best of luck to upcoming interview and God bless everyone.

  10. My son and I was APPROVED on the 14th of December at the embassy in Barbados. We was actually given 2 different interview dates my son's(he's 5) on the 14th and I was on the 15th but they said they didn't want me to waste my time coming there the next day so they process our documents the same time. Never had to show no pictures, no evidence, it was a breeze. After the officer and I greeted each other he asked if my rings( on my married finger) was my wedding rings so I told him yes and he smiled looking impressed. He asked how many people were at out wedding and where does my husband works... After which he said he's going to approve us today and gave me an approval slip with instructions as to how to send back my passport for the visa. I wasn't nervous at all but I never stopped praying!

Congratulations on your approval and your son's. We are celebrating with you and your family.

Well, tomorrow's the big day. Can't believe it...!

Tomorrow is also a big day for JFH, safe flight to you and best wishes for your new life in the USA :)! We may cross paths in London tomorrow and not even know it!

Good luck with your interview tomorrow Goldfinch2912. Praying all goes well and smooth for you.

  11. I just dropped off our passports yesterday at DHL head office and they told me that they will deliver them at the Embassy in Johannesburg by Friday 16th. We are hitting 5th week this coming Saturday with this TB waiting results and that will be the only outstanding thing for our visas to be printed. Im praying and hoping that they will be done first week of Jan 2017 so that we can go home.

  12. Back from interview today. Our IV is approved but they will only print the visas after receiving my TB results from the doctor. I was told to mail our passports back to the consulate office as soon as we get back to Namibia. I am happy that this whole visa gathering and processing documents is behind us.

I still don't believe that I am approved but as soon as that voice gets back to my head "SEND YOUR PASSPORTS BACK TO US WITH DHL AS SOON AS YOU GET BACK TO NAMIBIA IN ORDER TO PRINT YOUR VISAS after we got the last results".......then I got very emotional. We will be home before end of Jan.

Thank you everyone for being so helpful. Good luck to all of you and may God bless

    Tom, Monika & Elizabeth

  13. Thanks MrsBurgz I still have 21 days to go, just want to pull the day and get it over with ehhehe too excited and anxious.. Hope all be well for JFH today I'm sure it would be. God bless every one, All the best!

I dont know how I am feeling anymore. Since I was told that my TB test will take 6-8 weeks for them to have my results and they told me to attend my interview on actual date, its just really funny. I called the Doctor's office few minutes ago and they told me that they sent the results to the embassy which is even more funny. Hmmmmm!!!!! A day after JFH is our interview in South Africa, Dec 8th.

I dont really expect anything beside Administrative Process for PENDING MEDICAL RESULTS, all I know is that I wont be home for Christmas but surely for our 3rd anniversary  .

All the best to our friend JFH today. Everything will be okay and they will seal up the 2016 year with their reunion.
