No, it was denied. how are you holding up?
What??? Did I miss anything here? Who has been denied?

It will take a very long time for NVC to notify you via email that they recieve your package. You can simple call to confirm that they got it. At this stage you should be proactive. Don't wait for them or you will be at NVC for months.
Following the guides I went through NVC pretty quickly.
Oops!! Okay. Thank you very much for the info. I will tell my hubby to do that today. I guess I have to look up the NVC telephone number now so that he wont suffer much.
Thank you very much MrsBurgz

Still waiting for approval, yours was approved fast did you expedited ?
Still waiting for approval, yours was approved fast did you request expedition?
Hello there JOAE,
No request or any expedition involve in our case, it just seems like TSC is doing it fast than what I read here before we filed. My headache now is about NVC, I read here that its faster once it got there but ours was sent 23rd June and no confirmation yet if they receive our petitions or not.
Good luck to everyone in this process and may God help us to have some patience and positive hopes.

Hi The Burts
Has your file made it to the NVC?
I ask because I got confirmation my file made it and I didn't see your timeline updated.
M
Wow!!!!! Mamabrown3,
We are so happy for you both. Last week Thursday when I spoke to my husband about this, he did not receive any confirmation and he suggested we wait for 30 days
before he start calling them. I am running out of patience, my gear levels are not balancing anymore due to this waiting process
.
I think he didn't get any confirmation; otherwise he would have send it to me as well. Man, yours was really quick. You are overtaking us now on this one mamabrown3
. I think I will have to convince my Prince to make a phone call to NVC tomorrow, this waiting is really such a pain in the butt
.
Congratulations once again, I hope your documents to NVC are ready waiting to go. Start assembling now them now.
@other April filers, how are you guys holding up?

Hi Monika,
I think that is a wonderful idea... I'm still sitting here waiting on my NOA2 and I was accepted on the 13th of April. God give me the strength to keep moving forward.
Your timeline gives me hope.
I just read that you got approved too
:joy: . Congratulations Mamabrown3 on your NOA2!!!! I am so happy for you guys.
Thank you for your compliment but we give each other hope here. I am glad we got this forum to keep us going and guide us as well, just like one big family.

Zoe, cross my heart and hope to die, swear on a Bible, and my nana's grave.. you only need the shots that Nich-Nick has described. Promise. 100% promise.
Cool. I really do like this post and I learned a bit more especially when it comes to what age needs what. We are struggling with the same problem even though its in Africa, Namibia.
Very helpful. Thanks VJners

Hi The Burts:
I have a quick question. I too am filing for my spouse and child. When the passport page has to be submitted in the next stage at NVC.. Do you also have to submit the child's too?
Hello Mamabrown3,
I think you have to submit both passports (biographic pages), but I would suggest that you scan/copy passport the first page and the last one of biographic on one page just in case. We are also still studying more about the next level of NVC in order to make sure we got most of all that is going to be needed. If we get stuck, we will start posting questions here too.
Im thinking of starting a new thread of assembling NVC documents before time comes, so that this way we can all help each other. Wishing you all the best and good luck.

Hi April filers! I'm a May/Juner filer
. For those of you that you were sent to Texas Service Center and are already approved, was your case DCF? I'm trying to figure out roughly where Texas is at with their processing. It seems like they're on April! I hope you all get approved soon!
Hello Mrs. Wild
Our case is not DCF at all. I think this was just by the grace of God who never stopped loving His children and the only one who could see that we belong together.
I think if you check other members TimeLines, you probably might will see which ones are DCF and which ones are not. I have seen few which are not DCF and yet got approved already. Texas Service Center is the best.
We are just looking forward to get our welcome letter from NVC.

Our IR-1 & IR-2 petitions got approved June 15th, Texas Service Center just 63 days of stressing and dying from waiting. I nearly pass out this morning when I found a message from my husband that we got our NOA2s, I thought I was dreaming since I woke up 5am to prepare for our daughter's breakfast before she head to school.
I got a smile from ear to ear
Heading for NVC
and needs to get prepared. How is everyone holding up? We are looking forward to hear more of APPROVALS.
Good luck everyone

Thank you Gretch for your input. This is Tom, Monika's husband. While I greatly respect your knowledge as a nurse, I have a strong reservation towards vaccines, so the idea of my wife or daughter getting vaccines they do not need to get (IE: repeated) is unacceptable.
That is why I want them to get the Titer test done to ascertain exactly which ones they need and to avoid any repeats. I've learned enough about vaccines to have serious doubts about their efficacy and safety.
Thanks again for your input and good luck and God speed on being reunited with your husband!

Gretch
Thank you soo much for your input. Our daughter is a healthy crazy kid who keeps us busy and talking all day long sometimes. I miss my husband very much especially when he keeps her busy with handwork like repairing her bicycle, driving, watch her when she climbs the trees or do gardening together and her school home works & projects while I'm relaxing a bit or just preparing meals and laugh at them disputing on some things.
Last time I ask about my police certificate, they told me that it does not really expired except when it comes onto an individual requirement of different cases or country that would prefer very latest ones. I was told that its good as up to 3 years if you haven't get yourself into trouble with law after received it (which I have not yet).

I am a nurse (in the US). Of course I can't give you medical advice as I do not know you personally and am not treating you or examining you, but I can tell you that for the average person, there is no problem with repeating any vaccine that was given long ago. This is actually commonly done in the US for people who have lost their vaccine records. In some cases the lab test can be done, as you say, but other times we just give the vaccine--the vaccines are cheaper here than the tests, anyway.
The hepatitis B is one example of a vaccine series, and I have seen that the series does not need to be complete in order to get your visa approved. There's always the possibility that the doctor or person interviewing will insist upon it, I suppose (I have lived in SSA and have learned never to assume any government official will go by the written rules).
My husband doesn't have his vaccine records and I am advising him to redo whatever the doctor requires (he is also a nurse and agrees with me). In Rwanda some clinics are cheaper than others, so he will probably go to an inexpensive clinic for the vaccines we know he needs and get a vaccine record there to take to the official doctor, since we don't know how much that doctor will charge. I always suspect that anyone who knows my husband is married to an American or applying for a visa will try to charge him extra.
This is off-topic, but have you gotten your police certificates yet? I just mention it because even though the process looks simple, in both Kenya and Rwanda it has turned out to be more complicated than I ever expected. I wish we had started that process sooner.
Thank you for your response and advise Gretch.
I think for myself I will just repeat the vaccines. What about our daughter 13 years old, is it dangerous for her to repeat? I also heard that some VAX might be not available for certain age. I thought this was going to be smooth but its just as worse as waiting to reunite with our beloved ones.
Yes, I got police certificate 2014 before I change my surname and I got the other one in 2015 September in my new surname. I hope this will be okay with the embassy.
Wishing you the best of luck in your journey.

Hello everyone,
I don't know where or how to start this frustrating topic. Me and my daughter are about to start our NVC process, but I lost our vaccination records, mine was burnt in my grandfather's house more than 27 years ago. I just read on this forum that vaccination records has to be submitted when your petition is approved. In Namibia all required vaccination required by USCIS are being received by everyone since birth to the age of 15 (I had received mine too but no proof anymore). Since I/we received all vaccinations before, I heard that you can do Antibody-Titer Test in order for the vaccination team to see which one you will need to take and which one not to. I asked a nurse if I can repeat all my vaccination from the beginning till to whatever I need to but she said its bad for my health. The problem is now that they wont help us at the State Health Care and the Private Doctors are way much ridiculously costly (+-N$10000.00 for test, N$6000.00 for medicine you have to buy from pharmacy and plus consultation fees for both of us).
Here comes the questions
1. Does anybody from Namibia or went through South Africa Consulate for medical check up ever experiences this? If yes, please advise.
2. Will it be really bad if I repeat the vaccination since it has been done 27 years ago? Except our daughter (she is 13 years).
3. If we happen to need more vaccine after our approval, can we finish the rest in US?
I wont mind repeating but the problem is just that, if I happen to do it; it will be 4 weeks after each one. I don't want to wait this long anymore. This is eating my brain up than waiting for NOA2.
Please help

Hi Everyone!
I rancy NVC yesterday and my interview has just been scheduled for 25th of July! Yay!!
After he confirmed my identity he asked whether I was istting down! Lol! I replied no; why? He said cos your interview date has just been set and I'm about to tell you the date.
He said it and I was so happy! He then congratulated me for all my hard work! Lol!
So guys, you've all been so helpful; now I need assistance to prepare for my interview please.
I filed through my Dad being a USC so F1.
One thing that concerns me is that I lost my original birth certificate about a decade ago in London (I was born in Nigeria so can't get a new one but have a certified copy) and don't have many photos of my dad and I so I'll appreciate advice and suggestions as to what I should put together to help at the interview.
Thank you.
Hello Damilolly,
Let me congratulate you on your successful journey and for the interview first.
As a mother, I would advice you to:
1. make a police declaration regarding your Birth Certificate where you are. Tell them when you lost it, where and how if you can remember. And also state that you would like to apply for the duplicate of your birth certificate. This might will help the Consulate to understand why you cant provide them with your original Birth Certificate.
2. If you are a Christian, get your "Baptism Certificate" from your church as it is also contains both of your parents names and date of birth plus your Godparents details too. This takes few hours and you can send someone in case you are far and let them courier it to you.
3. Please do re-apply your Birth Certificate soonest for future use. Im not sure why you saying you cant get a new Birth Certificate (did they refuse or you haven't contacted them maybe because you are living far or is that the procedure that if you lose one they wont issue a duplicate?).
4. If you are living in UK, find out if they can issue you a duplicate Birth Certificate at Nigerian Embassy before you run out of your certified copies. There should be something someone can do to help you regarding this issue, even just letting you know what steps you need to take to get your Birth Certificate duplication.
I hope this little info and advise would contribute a little towards your question.
Good luck and may God be with you through your journey.

why be stuck with mail ?
have the photos made at some place that handles digitial media, then have your wife email them to you,
then you handle it at walgreen's or cvs online, picking up next day - cost? around 2 bucks.
Hi Darnell,
Thank you so much for your help. Photos sent, printed and I-130 submitted April 6 2016 and already got our NOA1.
Much appreciation

Surely sounds late but better than never!! + an update.
Hi there, we are also an April Filers of IR-1/CR-1 & 2 through Phoenix AZ Lockbox. My USC husband mailed our petitions on April 6 2016 and he received the I-797 confirmation on April 13th which later was followed by I-797C in the mail. We believe this is the NOA1s for his African girls
.
This process is really frustrating and devastating for keeping our loved ones distant from us FOR SUCH A LONG PERIOD!! Please lets keep updating each other so that time will pass-by unnoticed. How long do we have to wait NOA2s by the way?
Both (my husband and I) use this profile to post & update. How is everyone status so far????? Good luck everyone!!!!!

Congratulations AmandaLane102!!!!! We are very happy for your REUNION
My husband USC is about to file our petitions (Me & Daughter-Nam) in a week or two. I have been trying to start a thread or new topic here but things are just sometimes confusing. Your profile is very encouraging and hope giving through this process especially from my region. We can't wait to be in the same path of joy.
May God bless your reunion

Hi everyone.
I know this is an old post, but I have a similar question about the signature of the foreign spouse. Before leaving my wife in her home country of Namibia, I printed off a G-325A, had her sign & date it and brought it back with me. My question is: How long is the date/signature good for? She signed it on the 5th of July 2015 and it will be a couple of months yet, before I file the I-130.
Thanks!
