  1. November filer (Nov 17th) here.. We also waited painstakingly long 10 MONTHS... to get NOA 2. :ranting::crying::crying:

My visa was approved today!! finally.. The interview was not hard but maybe it was because I over prepared for it:)) They can't stop you because whatever the reason they might have against you. I proved my love and commitment. My poor baby had to suffer through my emotional ups and downs as well as my frustration.. Now I feel so excited that we can start our life together..

So many things to do.. I need to buy one way ticket to New York!!!

For some of you who are still waiting.. Don't give up because there is light at the end of this journey.

    Congratulations

  2. Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help me with this. My fiance had his interview Oct 7 I was with him as well at the interview and after 10+ questions we got approved and now we waiting on the passport. I kinda thought he would get the passport by now, brought a ticket and obviously we lost that ticket and now we still waiting. How long more do you guys think we will wait till he gets the passport. I checked CEAC and last status update was Oct 16 but still havent changed to "Issued." I found a cheap one way ticket on Oct 29th, what do you guys think? Thanks looking forward to reading all your replies.

In Haiti it will take up 15 Business days or maybe longer for your fiancé to receive his visa. And your fiancé will a need an 3 to 4 hour layer for any flight connection just in case, it take him awhile to go through customs.

  3. You will need the passport photos 2,I -134 with tax returns or tax transcripts, check stubs, letter of employment, divorce decree, appointment letter and visa fee receipt showing payment. They may not ask you for these things but have them anyway.

They will ask the following questions:

When did out and your fiancé meet.

How many times has she visited you?

    What are your wedding plans?

    Has she meet your family?

    Where does she work?

What has she told you about the state or city she is living in?

That's all I can think of, good luck with your interview.

  5. had the interview today at Islamabad embassy

CO asked me around 5 or 6 questions as follows:

    Q) How long have you known you fiance?

    A) Since 2001, we were online friends

    Q) When did you meet him in person?

    A) I met him in 2014

    Q) When was the last time you met him?

    A) That's the only time I met him in person, first and last for 2 weeks in UK.

    Q) What's the longest you have ever stayed in UK?

    A) Around 4 months

    Q) What does your fiance do for a living?

    A) I answered that.

    Q) Why do you want to marry in the US and not in PK?

    A) Frankly because I am very concerned for his security here since he is a Caucasian American. We were leaning a bit toward him coming here but then terrorism started happening in Rawalpindi as well. Some 15 terrorists were captured from the housing society that I am living in. Nowadays you can't even be sure about your neighbours so we have been very reluctant about it.

He said fair enough. Then he said I am approving your visa. You will get it in 2 weeks through American Express.

I said, REALLY? I GOT IT? He said Yes. I said OMG I wish THIS (the glass screen) wasn't in between us, I so would have hugged you. He just laughed and said It was lovely meeting you.

I am so over the moon right now :D

Congratulations on your approval!!!!!!! And Now the happy dance!!!!!!! ?????

  6. Hi Nov filers. I had my interview at the Islamabad embassy today and I got APPROVED. I will have the visa in hand in 2 weeks.

This journey would not have been same without my fellow Nov filers in this thread. We have encouraged each other so much through such a tough ordeal.

I pray that all those still in the waiting get approved ASAP.

    Love you guys

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!???????

  7. Hello I had a question on what I can do about getting my process moving. I applied as the petitioner for a k1 visa. It was approved by NVC on August 31, 2015. I received the letter for NVC on September 10, 2015. I called into the Haiti embassy and they said they received my package but it hasn't reached the consulate. My case status still says in transit. I called them again and they told me that my fiancé should file the ds 160 and create an account at ustraveldocs which we did and today he shall be going to pay the fee. My question is what shall I do to get my case moving cause i did all they told me to do but my case still says in transit even though they have received it. I have emailed papcons@state.gov and ustraveldocs and they keep telling me the same generic message. I am getting impatient because my mother has become very ill and its been stressful with out my fiancé here with me in my time of need. I don't know what to do! please help!

    Email Example for Package 3.doc

use this example email copy it to a word document and type in your information for Package 3. It will take them a couple of days to respond. papcons@state.gov. I have also include an example of the Welcome Letter and the instructions what they will look like, it will have your fiancé or your information on it. Your fiancé will need the Welcome Letter in order to do the Medical Exam. But you will also receive the Welcome Letter and K-1/K2 instructions in the mail in 2 to 3 weeks.

    K1 Welcome Letter Example.doc

    Packet 3 Instructions 2015.doc

  8. That is what I have been using as well and they are still saying there is no status update available for the passport number submitted.

That is so difficult! Yeah, with them taking my fiance's passport, he wont be able to pick up money if I send him any for traveling or what not, has your fiance had a place to stay??? I wish that was handled better on the governments end! You would think that only makes their job more stressful, holding on to passports and people calling repeatedly to track down the status of those promises!

Yes, he is staying with his family they still live in Haiti. But the only thing we can do is wait patiently, and I do mean patiently.:whistle:

  9. Only a little frustrating that they tell you 7-10 days but in reality its much longer! Lol.

Is it normal that ours hasnt even been updated since the interview and there is no status issued when you track it on Ustraveldocs?? Is there any way to track the passport at all no matter if the website has been updated or not???

I wish it was but it's not, I have even emailed them to find out any new updates still the same thing. This is the email I used passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com. I guess they tell everybody the same standard answer at the interview that your visa will be ready in 1 week when it will be ready when they fill like getting it ready. And my fiancé lives in the Dominican Republic and he is ready to go back to work so he cant leave until he gets his visa back.

  10. I was using the wrong number! Oh my goodness, usuing PAP instead of PTP. I feel ridiculous.

So it is listing as still ready from where it was at the time of the interview.... Im guessing they are still behind on updating the website?

Yes they are, I checked that website all day every day since the interview. Don't feel that way, I just prepared myself a long wait.
