  1. Yes my husband has all the original docs like his BC,Marriage certificate, PCC and all..Yes I'm CR1 (L)

Thank you so much ... (F)(F)(F)(F)

    Good luck with POE :dancing::dancing::dancing:

That's great! You are well prepared don't worry!

Yes! I have about 11 more days now! I'm getting so anxious. Been trying to pay his green card fee and the website is having issues so once I get that over with its just counting down the days!

  2. Hope someone can answer my questions

I'm sending my documents to my hubby tomorrow

These are the documents I'm sending to my hubby

    * AOS (updated)

    * Tax transcript 2014

    * Employment Letter & Pay stubs

    * AOS (NVC already sent those docs to embassy)

    * tax transcripts 2013,2012,2011

    * Employment Letter & Pay stubs

I'm also sending i130 documents (copies only)

Should I send tax returns too or tax transcripts are fine?

Do I have to notarized any of my documents like passport, naturalization?

Please if i'm missing anything please let me know too..

On P4 they basically wants hubby's civil docs original and copies..

I know embassy didn't requires these documents..But I don't want to get ding on anything..

    Answers are appreciated..

Lets begin our HAPPY MONTH MAY :):goofy::goofy::goofy:

No, if you will be sending tax transcripts then you do not need to send tax returns. And sometimes people forget that If you are sending in tax returns then you also have to send in W2s as well. So if you have the tax transcripts it's actually what they prefer, and you don't need anything else! Looks like you've got all the bases covered.

If they didn't specifically say in the P4 that they need any of your (petitioner) documents then I wouldn't send them. As far as any of his civil documents pcc, birth certificate, marriage certificate( I think you are a cr1/ir1 case?) i would make sure he has those for the interview just in case if they ask to see the originals.

My husband had copies of everything I had sent to USCIS since the beginning of the entire process & last thing I sent him in the mail was my new AoS and the original civil documents.(I initially brought all the civil documents back with me to the U.S. After marriage and my dad went to India this past January after I had already sent in everything to NVC so I sent the documents back to India for my husband with my dad) So I know he doesn't really need all of that but I made sure he was prepared with all documents.

Good luck to your husband!! Try to keep his nerves down for the interview they more nervous you are, the more they tend to grill you with obvious questions. They also have a habit of asking you the same question but in 10 different ways. Lol. That's exactly what happened to my husband and he wasn't even half as nervous as he could have been going in there!

  3. I just get wawe of happiness through my heart when hear that someone from mumbai with IR/CR 1 ggot approved without any issues.

Congratulations for you and so happy for both of you..

    just can't wait for mine.

Thank you so much! & your approved is on the way as well! Just don't get nervous! Good luck!

    WooHoo!!!!

She got her visa approved today!!!

    Thank the good Lord! Hallelujah

Interview was for 9am, she arrived around 7:30. They looked at her Interview Confirmation letter and said too early, to wait until they announce that timeslot.

At 8am she went again and they asked her to stand in line at this time.

Few minutes later, a guy came out asking for any K-1, there were 5, and to follow him inside.

Document check was done - all good.

    Token was given.

1 hour later they called her and asked for I-134

Then later she was called by the American male interviewer.

    Short list of questions:

    - your name

    - his name

    - when did you meet before engagement

    - tell me about it: listed key people that were there, when it happened, where

    - said ok, you're approved :)

Was out of there by 11am

CEAC site shows updated "READY" with today's date (prior to that it showed yesterday's for interview"

Passport status on this site shows "At US Consulate" http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-passporttrack.asp

Thanks everyone and I hope and pray the same easy result for all of you!!!

Congrats!!!! Good luck on your new life together!

  4. Thanks so much for sharing! my husband is having his interview in Mumbai on the 18th of May and this helps a lot. I'm really excited over the fact that he was able to pick up his visa the next day! My husband chose this option as well. I'll be going over to support and I wish they'd let me in but Mumbai won't allow it, so he'll be taking my passport inside with him. I'm praying I'm spending the rest of my time with him there helping him pack for the big move!

They say they won't allow anyone inside with your spouse but if I were you I would definitely go up there with him & ask to go inside for his interview because just recently I had some extended family whose spouses had interviews in March/April & both citizens from a here were able to go inside for the interview. So I know they say we can't, but I believe it wouldn't hurt to ask when you go! Anyway, good luck to both of you and I hope you will be helping him pack & then coming back to the U.S. Together to start your new lives! :) let us know what happens!

  5. Sorry guys, been a little busy the past few days, so my husband went for his fingerprints on the 26th in mumbai, super fast was done in 10 mins. He had his interview on Monday the 27th at 7:30 am. (india time) & was in and out within two hours. We didn't have any red flags on our case, but for whatever reason the Officer who interviewed him insisted on focusing the whole interview on my family. He asked a ton of questions about my parents, and about my brother. lol. Weird, guess he just wanted to know how much my husband knew about my family.

One big thing that I wanted to make sure I came in here and posted was that I had sent my husband a new AoS because I needed to add/update my most recent tax year (2014) as when I sent to NVC 2014 wasn't finished yet and I hadn't filed my taxes yet. BUT the officer didn't even ask for a new AoS, I guess cause I was well above the minimum but still, for anyone who was curious about that. & yes my husband was approved I was so happy and excited and all the worries were just lifted off my shoulders!!

For those of you wondering how many days it takes for you to receive your visa after approval my husband was gonna pick his up in mumbai and not have it mailed to his house (which is the quickest way to get the passport back) His passport was ready with his visa the next day around 4pm. So I can't say how long it takes for them to mail it to some other locations for pick ups, but if you pick it up in Mumbai and you have the time to stay after the interview then that will be the fastest way for you guys!

I'll write a detail review of the consulate once my husband gets here and I can ask him every little detail! lol. Right now hes busy packing and doing last minute things so we haven't had a deep discussion about every thing that happened at the consulate. Less than two weeks for me!!

Good luck to everyone who has interviews coming up in the next few weeks!! Go over possible questions and make sure your spouse knows your family history in case the officer does what he did with my husband lol.

  6. Hello everyone, not quite sure where to post this but I figured this is the best place. I've been trying to pay the $165 fee for my husbands green card before his POE and I've already set up an account and answered all the questions and filled in his A# and all the info needed about him, but when I go to the Pay option where it shows the amount of $165 and then redirects to pay.gov the website is not opening for me. I've tried different browsers and still keep getting an error message that the site is taking too long to open and just wont load. So I'm wondering is there maybe a problem with the site right now, should I try later, or could it be a problem that only I'm having?? Thanks to anyone who can help answer this.

  7. So then my question becomes, when can i select my interview date?

This is for K-1 Fiancee at Mumbai consulate.

I received NVC letter dated March 23, 2015 that case is being sent to USA Consulate in Mumbai but I have not received any update since.

The NVC Case status is "Ready"

    I submitted DS-160

I selected Document Delivery location (Hyderabad)

I'm planning on making EFT payment today

Simple question: Do I need to wait for the Mumbai Consulate to contact us in Hyderabad, or do we continue by making payment and scheduling the Consulate Interview via the "usatravel" website where I selected the Document Delivery location?

Sorry for the late reply, but from what I have read I believe you go ahead and make your payment and schedule your appointment. I don't believe the Mumbai consulate will contact you, you need to go ahead and schedule so you can then take that letter confirmation to your medical.
  8. Did you need the appointment/interview notice to have the medical?

I'm going to try to complete the Medical and wanting to schedule an interview (K-1) after a week (need to prepare documents) but not sure if that interview needs to be set as a requirement to take Medical.

I'm not sure about the K1 process but for my husbands CR1/IR1 he had to show his interview letter at the medical. So I believe you should make that appointment first and print out some kind of confirmation and have that before you go to your medical.

  9. Well I'm gujarat but getting medical done from ahmedabad and have got an appointment for 2nd week of april..

Oh okay, yeah my husband lives too far from Ahmedabad lol. Just an hour from Surat so that was easier. You should be fine, I'm sure they will explain the vaccines to you once you get there. My husband got his medical packet same day. Couple hours after he finished the medical he went to the hospital after finishing a few errands and it was ready for him.

  10. Hi,

    Got my p4 email today..

    Interview date May 20th 2015 @ Mumbai..

Please keep this thread active..Share u r medical, fingerprints and interview experience..

    Good luck to all :)

Congrats. Go ahead and set up your medical appointment ASAP if you haven't already, and make an account to get your fingerprint appontment as well!

I received my P4 letter today as well! We're scheduled for Mumbai on May 18th! Just a question - is there a packet 3 for this consulate? I'm trying to research and can't seem to find anything on that and I'm thinking it may be obsolete now.

Thanks everyone and best of luck to all of us!!

Congrats good luck at interview! Get that medical & fingerprints appontments set up! & no we don't get P3 packet as a cr1/ir1, I think p3 is for fiancé visas

  11. Hey my interview is on 6th may and biometrics appointment on 5th may.

Where did he got his medical done.. I mean you guys are from which part of india?

My husband is from Gujarat, so he got his medical done in Surat if any of you guys are from there than Surat is where you will go for medical. Apollo hospital I believe is what it is called. There is a link on that P4 letter where I think it takes you to visa website where you can select India & they have a breakdown of which state has which hospitals you can get the medical done at. My husband just called the hospitals number and was able to schedule an appointment pretty quickly. it was very simple process just a long wait at the hospital he said. They gave him 4 vaccines and one needs to be given a month after the first one so he is going back on April 20th for that vaccine. Advice for this is please try to make your medical appointments as soon as possible. My husband said typically you have to wait a month before second round but if you don't have that much time they will give it to you sooner. Although vaccines are different for certain ages but just a reminder lol.

  12. Thanks.. good luck to both of you!

and yes desperately waiting for my interview. . As your husband's interview is on 27th april.. ours will be sheduled in May..mmay be!

Yes most likely will be for May! But hey that's okay cause it gives you a little more time to get your medical and everything done. I hope you get one for early May because I was hoping for early April but ended up at the very end of it! But I guess none of thay is really in our hands anyways. Lol. Good luck to you guys!

  13. Hi..My case has been completed today..My hubby's consulate is gonna be Mumbai too..Waiting for the interview date..Did anyone has the interview date in this thread..Plz update it...Thank you and Good Luck :)

My husband got his interview scheduled for April 27th. We got an interview date scheduled exactly 1 week after case complete. But, I had case complete first week of the month so those people getting case complete in the middle of the month or towards the end of the month may have to wait a little longer for a date. Mumbai consulate is usually slower than the rest at scheduling so be patient! And good luck!

  14. Hey I also share mumbai consulate. Plz share your experience with us!

Hey, my husband has his interview on April 27th, I will come back in here and let you guys know how it goes. But for now he's just finished his medical and gotten his vaccines and has his fingerprint appointment on April 26th.

  15. Quick question about 2014 taxes & an updated I-864 I know earlier in the thread it was mentioned that we need to update it to include 2014 tax year so does that mean we redo the whole form with years 2012,2013,2014 instead of 2011,2012,2013 which are the years I submitted to NVC in December. My taxes will be finished this week so do I just need to send a copy of my 1040 or do I send my husband w2s or IRS transcripts cause when I sent to NVC I sent all tax transcripts so Im not exactly sure what I need to send my husband for the interview

  16. Haha I just wanted to convey that the waits short for the interview and you should start preparing the docs and enjoy the thought that its almost done but ended up doing the complete opposite I guess. OOPS!!!. Yes I will be interviewed at the Mumbai consulate. In Mumbai the Slots open up randomly so you might even end up with an interview in the mid of April so you should file taxes for 2014 as soon as possible. Your almost there

Yes, My taxes for 2014 should be filed by this upcoming week and I should have all my tax papers by the end of the week. I will start to get those ready adapt because I know I will have to send them to my husband before the interview. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I've heard Mumbai consulate isn't too difficult with interviewers just as long as you have all the paperwork necessary. Thank you so much for answering my questions and giving me some company in this thread lol! Best of luck for your interview! Hope you will get your visa issued right away and can finally be here with your spouse! Please keep us updated & let me know how the interview went! :)

  17. Oh no no... I meant the actual interview will be within a month or two of getting the P4 letter( i got a cc on feb 2 and got an interview letter on 6 th and actual interview scheduled for end of march, so going by that logic you should get a letter by 6th ) so you still have a good chance of making it to April interview ... I guess I scared you sorry for that

Oh!! Hahahha! In that case yes, you sure did scare me! I'm glad there's still a chance for April interview for my husband! Are you also at Mumbai consulate??? I guess I should actually be getting my updated I-864 together since I used 2013 as my most recent tax year on the form, but I guess one thing at a time lol. I guess once we actually get an interview date all of this will be more real to me. Right now I just can't believe we are so close to being done! So are you the one who will be interviewing or your spouse?

  18. No problem , I have seen people being scheduled for the interviews within a month or two from the date of cc at Mumbai consulate but due to the weather conditions I'm not so sure now( The interview letters start to arrive after 6th as I have seen). Try calling NVC they should be able to let you know about the interview if it has been scheduled. Good Luck :)

I've actually called like everyday since Tuesday to ask if I have a date yet!!! Lol. A month??? Or two?? Oh gosh Idk if I can wait that long! I figured maybe since we got a CC at the beginning of the month we might get schedule for mid or end of April! I guess maybe not. Lol. That was wishful thinking. Ugh, can't stand the wait any longer it's been over a year already stuck in this process, but I guess it could always be worse.

  19. Hello,It should arrive within 10days .

Hi! Thank you for your response the India forum doesn't seem to get much traffic, wasn't sure I would ever get a reply! I'm still waiting for a date to be scheduled. Looks like New Delhi consulate is getting scheduled for april. Have no idea about Mumbai yet. I wish they would hurry! Lol

  20. Contacted Senator Cruz's Office. The CASE WORKER WAS USELESS!!! She fumbled, mumbled and everything else just to tell me she couldn't help!!!!!!!! She had no idea what she was talking about. She hadn't even read the stuff I had sent her. How horrible!!!! She said TSC is taking 6-9 months to review I-130s and since my petition was returned it is back in the I-130 queue with all the rest of the fresh petitions. Then she hung up on me!!! :ranting::ranting: :ranting: :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

Hey, I'm sorry they aren't helpful at his office but believe me you aren't alone. I also contacted his office for my husbands I-130 because it was stuck at NSC for almost 9 months. They were SOO late on even telling me they had received my papers it took them a month to let me know, but luckily I had contacted Senator Cornyns office as well (I actually sent my info to his office before Senator Cruz) and they had a response to me within a week & and a half of receiving my forms & I had an approval literally 2 days after I got the reply from senator. So idk if you have tried Cornyns office but I would contact them as well, because to me between the two, senator Cornyns people seem to be faster and actually are able to get things done. It's worth a try if you haven't already tried. Best of luck to you in this mess that is immigration. & prayers that you are able to work this out!

  21. Hello friends!

I spoke to NVC tonight (45 min wait...pretty average...) to ask if we have an interview date. No dice yet. Yet another phone rep who doesn't seem to have any information.

I hope they squeeze us in for an April date. I have a really important/special wedding to go to on May 2nd and would love for my husband to be with me.

Hi! I also just got off a 45 min hold to ask when we might have one scheduled. I just got curious and was hoping they would at least be able to somehow give an X amount of days for my consulate but they didn't know anything. Lol. Oh well, doesn't hurt to try. I hope we get one in April too!

  22. Hi everyone, I just received a case complete yesterday 3/3/15 & Im not sure how the scheduling of interviews go for cr1/ir1 filers. My husband will be going to the Mumbai consulate and I was wondering if any of you guys who have recently got a CC & interview date could tell me about how many days is it usually between a CC & the day that NVC gives us an interview date? I've looked on the spreadsheet but unfortunately there aren't too many India filers on there & it's also hard to figure out who went through Mumbai consulate. Thanks in advance!
