Thanks for sharing those pics!
We have a 5 1/2 hour layover in Chicago when we return to the states (Go figure, we live in NM). We arrive at 5 in the morning after a 12 hr flight so I do not know if there is anything to do or if we even want to since we will probably be completly destroyed at that time. Maybe we might just get a hotel for a few hrs of rest, so is there anyhthing to do with a 5 hr layover in Chicago?
unfortunately the airport is not right in the city. By the time you would get into the city (1 hr) and get back (1 hr), that doesn't save much time to do anything, and especially at that time of day.
Thats what I thought. I am sure at 5 in the morning we will be dead anyway. But thanks for the info.

Hello everyone,
Just thought we say hi from Brazil - Salvador to be exact. Val just went to get her hair and nails done at her sister's salon. In the states, it seems they never do it right for her and is much less expensive here. Anyway, I am hanging out at another of Val's sisters house. We are here only for two weeks and I know that for Val it will be hard for her to leave. We are like 5 minutes away from the beach and it has been nice. A lot different than dusty, hot and dry New Mexico.
Hope everyone is doing good!
hey long time no see. good to hear from you again. how is salvador this time of year?
ok I just went dumpster diving.. well i didn't actually go in the dumpster.. I was taking out the garbage when i noticed some boxes sitting by the garbage bin.. on closer inspection I found out that they were full of Christmas decorations.. blue and sliver glass balls... I hemmed and hawed for awhile and then I snatched them up and brought them homemarilyn has blue balls.........
Thanks!
It is nice and warm. We thought it would be colder here but it is nice. Tonight we should see rain and may get colder. Hope you and Nessa are doing good.

My wife just called the Federal Police in Brasil and luckily, they said we should not have a problem since she has the geen card even though she has less than 6 months on her passport. I really do hate the stress nowadays that goes with flying.

I just found out that my wifes passport is about to expire in August. We are leaving tomorrow and will return in two weeks which is before it expires. Val has her permanent resident card as the airline said that she should not have a problem returning but I dont know if we are going to have a problem with the federal Police in Brazil since it has to be valid within 6 months of travel as I am just told (but since she has her PR card). Do you know first do we really need to renew her passport when we are there and second, can they do it within two weeks in the "emergency mode" if you pay them the 200 real?.
I knew it was about to expire and I wanted to renew it once we returned but I did not know that it had to be valid within the 6 months prior.
thanks for any answers.
Isleta.

Perhaps once we have thousands of favelas like Brasil, then the US might do something if its not too late.

I wear mine all the time cus if I didn't, I would prolly lose it
(and thats a place where no man should have to explain - lolz). And it doesnt bother me to wear it, fact is I never really notice it.
Val takes her's off at night because she says it scratches her. I tell her that I am going to buy those mittens for babies if she keeps taking it off.

There is actully plenty of petro reserves off the coast of California and the east coast. Enough to last us for quite a long time that could help us. Technology has changed quite considerably to make it feasable (and economical) to exploit these reserves that we are sitting on much more safely. Perhaps when gas hits 10 dollars a gallon then we will start drilling and production will start 18 months later. Perhaps then it will be too late.

Yeah work is a ######. But glad you're going, have fun!
Thanks, I will dread the flight but once were there, should be good. My mom just came back from NY and she was saying that the TSA people were acting very rude to everyone going through inspections.

charles has a car he doesn't use and police response time to his estate is 45 minutes.
na'imsayin'?
Nah, dont try it. Prolly insured by H&K or SW.
Whats going on Trolly??! I don't think I have visited here in weeks, maybe months. We leave for Salvador Brasil on Saturday.
Not much is going on. How long are you going for?
Be back July 1st
Would have loved to stay longer but work always gets in the way of everything.

Cut your losses and move on. Life is too short .
Exactly, as others have already said, no one should be treated like that. She should move on and find a man that will treat her with complete respect. This will only get worse. Like a trainwreck in slow motion. Good luck.

I shall, I shall. But we received our NoA2! I'm excited!
Aw to a heart shaped cake. My brother's baked his birthday cake (I'm at my parents, and he doesn't trust anyone else to make it) and I can smell it from here.
Congrats!!

I just ate lots of strawberry cake and now I am ready to go to sleep!
We just woke up from a nap * yawns * . We also worked earlier today and hit the gym. Getting ready to throw a couple of Tbones on the grill.

Every system we buy has XP Pro for our clients. Our proprietary software runs Ok on Vista after being tweeked but our third party PCMCIA interface card and drivers between the I/O and the vista windows program is still not supported. At least not that we have found anyway.
On a side note, I use Autocad R14 on one computer that works perfectly on '95. I didnt want to upgrade it because I would have had to buy another hidollar verson from Autodesk. It works great as it is as it is just a tool. But I had a hell of a time finding a printer for this system. lols
