  1. The cafeteria had an item description that had the phrase "seasoned chicken" - I read it and thought it said "seasonal chicken" and spent a good minute wondering what kind of chicken goes in and out of season.

Maybe its like a cord of seasoned wood: Cut up, dead and left to dry for a year.

  2. we didn't do drag or karaoke instead we went to a bar where a band was playing and danced around like idiots. these really pervy redneck old men kept staring at us so we left and went to denny's at like 2am. neil was very sad he had to work but I told him that his friend said he drank a beer for him

Bummer, Just got home now. Gotta get my Shrimp specialty going for the SB. We went to one of our Brazilian friends house last night. They had a cable station that showed the Carnival that is going on now in Brazil, think it is called Globo or something like that. Val wanted to spend the night there and I didnt but after they kept forcing beer and Cachasa down my throat  , I decided we should definatly stay the night. We also danced till about 2-3 AM at their house. Was fun but I hate spending the night at someones house.

  3. Men engage in the same petty jealousies that women do - they just go about them in a different way

Yeah we have our buddies beat someone up in a dark bar while we pay off the bartender look the other way.

Men do crazy things, women say crazy things.

This is true - though I seen heterosexual men behave like gossips in a sewing circle more than a few times.

True, some of us guys hang out to long at the watercooler

I once had a female boss and she was the best. She never micromanaged and always went to bat for me during reviews. But there were some women that I worked with that I was not "supposed" to go eat lunch with that she did not like. That was sort of a strange time. We both parted ways years ago when she quit and I got laid off but we still keep in touch because of work related contacts.

  4. Plan to stay home and watch it on our new 42" Toshiba LCD. Barbeque some ribs outside if it is nice. Have my bro and a few friends coming over. Dont really care who wins but hope its not a blowout.

  5. I applied for a credit card back in November and was approved for a $3,000 limit and no interest on purchases for 12 months (considering I have been working for less than a year so therefore only have a limited credit history here, I thought this was a good deal). I currently have a small balance that I plan to pay off by March. I made a large purchase in December and am paying it off monthly in four instalments. If I have to pay less one month due to other commitments, then I will simply extend the payment plan for a month or two.

I do agree though that it is easy to rely on a credit card if money is a little tight. Certainly when I was younger back in the UK and didn't earn a whole lot, I relied on a credit card every so often when my salary wasn't quite stretching to the next pay day. My December bonus would always sort out any balances I had so I was lucky that I had this to fall back on.

Credit card companies cannot force you to open an account and spend cash you don't have, but I do think they need to be more responsible lenders when it comes to credit limits and astronomical interest fees. They are aware that certain members of society will rely on credit cards to make ends meet, and shouldn't be exploiting those groups.

    Exactly!

  6. i havent worked out lately. :(

besides my once a week craving.. all i eat is meat-salad-whole grains.. and thats it.. oh and protein shakes

Worked out last night, did chest, bench, inclines, declines, champains and cables. Tonight is legs - I hate doing legs. Lifting always leaves me hungry amost all day long.

right now im only doing pyramid series up, no rest between series, big muscles, upper and then lower body, then 5 minutes cardio between pairs.. no small muscles, so no forearms or stuff like that, only exercises that use a lot of muscles.. plus 30min cardio at the end

Yeah, I pyramid up 4 sets to where I can only do 5 or 6 reps on heaviest 3rd, then go down to do 10 to 12 on last set. I try to sneak in my work outs 3-4 times a week alternating doing only one group of muscles in either legs, shoulders, chest, back and arms with a 20 min cardio fast incline walk. In the summer I like to do short sprints on the rubber track - to much gets to my knees but love running. I also try to eat right but no more protein shakes cas they just stick to me to much. Not really trying to get bigger, just trying to stay strong and healthy plus I really feel good when and after i lift, and keep the battle of the bulge at a stalemate.

Keep up the good workouts.

  8. Have three credit cards, 2 visas (one was like 7% and the other at 11%), and 1 AE which I never really use. My debt was over 5k total. With our quarterly bonus which is measured in sales vs output, I was able to pay them off (We had a great end of year quarterly in sales - last 3rd quarter prior was nada). And I still have 3k from that bonus in my savings which will help buy tickets for four of us back to Brasil  . But I/we was sure tempted to do what most people do here at work and buy something with that $$ and get ourselves into even higher debt.

  9. I like Farinha Lactea, but you people don't have that here. Charles said it looks like baby food.

It totally does! Rey found it in Minneapolis, btw. (And obvs it's easy to get here.) So maybe you can find it?

Lis sent it to me from Florida, I still have some. Have you had it? It's the best!

TBH, I'm afraid to try it. The way it looks is a bit unappealing to me. I think I might have tried it, actually, but don't remember... Rey says the same thing, that it's great. He buys it but he doesn't eat it. I think he just likes to know it's there. :)

It totally beats oatmeal. That's what I can compare with, but for me oatmeal is okay tasting, I mostly eat cuz it's healthy, now Farinha Lactea taste amazingly good, no comparison. You should try it.

Is that the stuff that looks kinda like cream of wheat?

    yup. ever had it?

Once, it was alright. lumpy though if I remember. I think Val still has some. I prefer to eat oatmeal with honey once in a great while.

  11. Happy b'day to your wife Sand! Went out of town today early to a "Matanza" Competition (Each team kills a pig, Cooks it either underground or in big pots outside and then it is judged), ate like there was no tomorrow, played horseshoes, and today my wife even got to ride a horse for the first time in her life (had to help her on the horse lols). She loved it!

Then we went to visit my cuz, and then we went to Walmart to buy stuff for the house.

    Tired

  12. I did all my going out during the day today so I will check in to see if people are on. If I don't go on chat I will try to catch you on yahoo isleta. Neil works tonight so I'm going to be really bored.

Oh great, I'm for when you are really bored :P

 honesty is the best policy. I kinda meant I only get online and chat if I'm really bored. but yeah you entertain me :)

No prob  . So sometime 2night if we can. You can see Val hopefully tonight onthe cam.
