  1. It's embarrasing how our state was so late with the count. Not like there is that many folks here. And already a lot of talk of voter fraud. Just rediculous how this state handled it. When I voted at my precinct - I had to leave without voting cus I went during my lunch break. Went back at 3:00 and didnt get out until almost 6:00.

  2. Have also heard mixed reviews. I hear that the plasmas have improved recently. Just bought a Toshiba LCD Hi def 42in. 1080 res. Very nice picture and the colors are intense. We just have an antenna and what is cool is that we get a lot of channels that we normally couldnt receive. Very satisified. Oh, as far as HDMI cables, have used them at work for an application and we just purchased the cheap ones which seemed to work ok for the application that we used it for.

  3. I'm all for GAIN, the one that smells like apples. And white clothes really need to be washed separately because putting other colors in there (especially gray) will make them off-whtie. Just set your washer to the small cycle and then use a little bleach, you'll see the difference in a few weeks.

Yes, just a little bleach. If you use too much, your cloths start falling apart. And we always try to let the cloths dry outside on the clothsline if possible. The dryer can destroy cloths over time also. Plus its free using the solar dryer.

  4. What if it was me in that cage?!" LMAO are you freaking kidding me? Luckily I have a little better sense than to get into a f**king cage with a hungry pissed of lion, c'mon now. Anyway all I'm saying is that lions are a beautiful and critically endangered species, and Mexicans don't even know what birth control is and breed like rabbits. You do the math. :)

Yup, a real dumb a$$ comment for sure. BTW, can you enlighten this MEXICAN about birth control?

  5. Today for us:

Nothing to exciting really, today went out to eat for breakfast, bought a bunch of catfish since it was on sale and changed the oil in my old truck. Then Val and I went for a long walk along the deserted Rio Grande where there were thousands of loud crows - literally thousands!!. Val seen a woodpecker (don't know what kind, was black and white) and she thought that was the coolest thing since that was the first time that she had seen one. We also seen migrating geese, a Mexican eagle, and Sandhill cranes. Was pretty cool. Unusually warm today so we took advantage of the sun and warm weather.

  6. Hm... a music video with credits. Was it some sort of PSA?

Definitely creepy, but maybe that's good.

Not a PSA. They have the making of it on youtube. It's to inform children and fathers.

I understand it is good to inform children and Mothers (crazy that the mom turned a blind eye) of this tragedy, but if a father actually NEEDS to be "informed" . . .

  7. I'm from a white town. We never had any african americans in school with us until I was in 6th or 7th grade and then there was only 1. My mom tells this story about when I was little the first time I saw a black person (I was 3 or 4) I got really excited and started yelling the "n" word because I didn't know it was wrong. She said she was so embarrased and went and apologized to the person. I've never understood why people are racist. My dad's parents are a great example. They're completely against anything that has to do with not being white. My grandmother in particular disgusts me because of this. Maybe I just don't pay enough attention to it or maybe I just don't care to see the hate. I wish the world were just butterflies and flowers and everyone would get along.

 I just cant seem to understand how a 3 or 4 yr old would say that offensive word, or how they even knew it.

You would be surprised what 3 or 4 year old can pick up. And BTW, My Afro-Brasilian sons say this word all the time.. I dont like it but I cannot stop them from saying it outside the house.
