This is straight from the VJ guide, Id follow it to a T. See number 6.
What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):
    1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well). 2. Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance(e) to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well). 3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F). 4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all. 5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

    (A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
    (B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)
© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern
    (D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. See this FAQ for more tips and useful information on the Affidavit of Support Form. 6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. (backup information; the embassy will have copies of this as well) 7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, online chat logs (pick several over the prior few months), etc.. from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 until date-now).

Examples: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate emails and letters you have sent including the stamps on envelopes (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

I went to check the website after reading this post and while I haven't received any email or confirmation, the USCIS website does say approved, "post-decision activity." I was also a mid-April filer transferred from TSC to CSC.

Doubt it. Think about it, you had to submit letters of intent to marry within 90 days and attest to same when signing the I-129F petition....that's all.

Members post timelines to help others. That is the purpose of the timeline really. In fact, the general purpose of VJ is to help others, is it not? (That's rhetorical...no need to answer) lol
    Have a nice day

Amen to that! I think all high school seniors in the US should be sent to a third world country, such as the Philippines for a 1 month stay to see how the rest of the world lives. I have a feeling that the "entitlement brats" would soon become a thing of the past. Of course they could not stay in a 5 star hotel in Manila. Perhaps they would have to stay in Cebu City near the pier and in squatter ares, such as where my wife comes from. I saw all this stuff on TV but it never really meant anything until I experienced it first hand. Yeah her family has no fridge, washing machine, stove, running water, etc... I bought them a fridge before we left but we can;t afford to buy them a house yet either.

Kay&Jay...I'm asking for him. I just want what's best for him and his child. His mother is my friend. He's a young man and I could very much be his mother. No other intensions in mind. And, he did not come on a K1 visa. They were married in their country and she petitioned for her husband to be here in the US.

It's often not so much changing their mind as being no longer interested in the relationship once they are in the US and on course for the green card. But there have been people who have got to the US and then not even married because life together wasn't what they expected/wanted it to be.

I/we have not experienced that problem however it seems most people from third world countries all just assume that we Americans are all millionaires. As do the families left behind. Every time I visited they thought there was money to be doled out and I believe most of them still believe that way. That's not to say that we don't help support my wife's family because we do. But people literally come out of the woodwork when they hear their distant relative is going to marry an American. Fortunately I was honest and straightforward with my wife before she ever moved here and she understood that we would not be millionaires. However, she is living a life with 50 times more luxuries and amenities than she ever did before which by the way causes some heartache for her sometimes in the way of Catholic guilt. It's a shame but sometimes even sleeping on a mattress makes her feel guilty. We as Americans really have no idea how good we have it. I lived and experienced the Philippines for a few months and we truly are a fortunate society here in the US. GOD BLESS AMERICA

Hi! New here - I got two texts and two emails yesterday. My papers were accepted 4/17/14. Are these transfers or a second step?
    Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Your Case Status: Initial Review

On August 11, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results

listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current

processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check Processing Times.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

I got the same follow-up email yesterday night- stating that our case was sent to my local USCIS office. The attorney's office we're working with said they have a handful of other clients who have gotten similar notices and for them it has meant fast(er) (relatively!) processing times. So hopefully this means the ball is rolling and we will hear something soon!
