it could get closed anywhere after USCIS -
if NVC sees the I-130 hit later and if the I-129F is still at NVC, NVC will close it.
if IV Unit sees the I-130 in the pipe at NVC, and the I-129F is at the IV unit, usually the IV Unit closes the I-129F.
Remember - the basis for an I-129F to go through the system, an unapproved I-130, dies when the I-130 is approved.
what is IV unit ?

yes, everyone is receiving that letter from NVC, it means extra waiting time, as they said

I called about one hour ago and got my MNL number
did you call after receiving e-mail about NOA2 or the actual NOA2 hard copy by mail ?
-
Following Hanks Guide.
I rec'd NOA2 on July 21st. I called NVC and got the MNL# over the phone.
after how many days you called the nvc after the noa2 ? was is it sent to nvc at same day of approval ?

I have read here that K3's are now obsolete and rarely get approved. I have not seen one go through, you are probably better off asking this question on a K3 related forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/81-k-3-spouse-visa-process-procedures/ or http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/132-k-3-spousal-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/
Good luck!
ya i heard that too, i guess my i-130 will be approved by the end of this week, thanks and good luck

Hi there,
Texas Service Center is currently working on January filers. You can expect approximately another 3 months for your NOA2.
i submitted both i-130 and i-129f to vermont service center, my i-129F was transferred to TSC and it was approved 3 days ago while my I-130 is still at vermont and under initial review, do you think it will still be approved and sent to nvc at same time ? how many days does it take TSC to send the approved petition to NVC ? btw i am K-3 not K-1
-
it really depends on which service center it was, the USCIS time component for getting it out the door.
NVC is currently at 45 days from physical casefile receiving to opening it up and being ready to assign a consular casefile # [the start of that process].
add em together, and that's yer answer.
if it was at TSC, and if they received first the I-129F and few days later or a week they received the I-130 are they still gonna close the I-129F since they received thei-130 or not because i-129f arrived first ?

so when you say that I-130 and I-129F will, or are approved same time do you mean by that same exact day ? and if one petition is approved and USCIS said its sent to NVC how many days it take it to arrive at NVC first ? if I-130 was approved days after I-129F approval and saying it was sent to NVC is there a chance that the I-130 will still reach first before i-129F ?

Yes you will need the I-864 for the CR1. Either way you needed the 125% as per the I-864P however. Joint sponsor can be anyone, LPR or USC, who meets the povertypoverty guidelines and is domiciled in the USA.
I hate making spelling mistakes... Grrr. So much editing due to lack of proof reading. /bad NLR!so when you say that I-130 and I-129F will, or are approved same time do you mean by that same exact day ? and if one petition is approved and USCIS said its sent to NVC how many days it take it to arrive at NVC first ? if I-130 was approved days after I-129F approval and saying it was sent to NVC is there a chance that the I-130 will still reach first before i-129F ?

if the I-130 ain't approved yet - submitting a I-129F actually slows down the process. the I-130 is pulled out of it's place in the queue, and put together with the I-129F, at the end of the queue.
Now - once an I-130 petition is approved and sent on to NVC - the beneficiary is allowed to apply for the visa at the National Visa Center.
I don't understand what you've written in post #1 - is there some backstory we need to know about ?

you'll have to wait for casefile intake at NVC , for any further determination.
after how many days the USCIS send the approved petition for NVC ? or if a case approved from USCIS how many days it takes to be at NVC ?
-
what petition was apprived ? I-130 ? and is there any possibilty for NVC to request RFE ? i thought only USCIS may request that
-
so all petitions going to NVC such as i-130, i-129f k1 k3 are gonna be delayed and slowed ? is it certain ?
-
Does anyone have any real facts/information on what (if anything) is being done by the NVC to speed up this process times at the NVC?
i heard that its going to be slower, not faster

I am in favor of the $60,000,000 in air fare that it would cost us to do that, at a rate of $2,000 per child. That # is actually probably about 60,000 children by now, so make that $120,000,000 to send them back on planes.
transfer them by military air cargo airplanes, that will save america lot of financial problems later, wellfare and healthcare and manythings
-
They came through Mexico. Mexico has said they will not take them because they're not Mexican.
send them to where they come from, put them on airplanes and take them there and give them to their governments
-
that 30,000 illegal kids should be sent back home, leave them at the borders from where they picked them

I received one too, can you tell us what the USCIS said when you call them please ? thank you
-
what does your status say on the USCIS website when u check it ?
-
I think it just means that they are working on both petitions, but where is the I-130? I think it depends on which is approved first as to which visa you will get. And the majority of the time the I-130 will cancel out the I-129. Someone with more knowledge can probably explain it better that I, but this is how I understand the process from what I have read here. Good luck!
my I-129F is moved to texas but my I-130 still in Vermont I guess, they didnt say anything about transferring it

Hi everyone
we submitted our I-130 and I-129F in April and lately the status is changing to this, does anyone know what does that mean ?
On July 18 your I-129F was transferred from Vermont to Texas
On July 25, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case
then today i have this status change for I-130 :
On July 31, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case.
what address is changed ? we didn't move or anything and we didn't contact the USCIS with anything
can someone tell me what these new status means ? the Alien number one for I-129F and Address change for I-130
Thanks everyone
-
hang on there and never quit, its gonna move soon, and u will be together, u said u love each other, u can do it, quitting wont help you, its not a solution, time ks gonna pass and u will be together even if its gonna take one more year, this is a life time relation and it worth it, i am passing in this too but i already married my american wife and we are applying for CR1 and K3 we submitted in April, we are meeting after few days in Turkey, it is really hard ans stressful and put us in depression and sadness but its the only way to be together, and it worth it, imagine you quit and got the approval after couple of weeks, hang on there, time passes quickly, dont be weak, there is a future waiting you together, it worth more than waiting months, be strong and try to meet soon, it will make u feel better

where do you live? depending on the state where you reside, your case would be handle by either Texas service Center, California service center, or Nebraska sc.
in Vermont
-
hi i applied I-130 and I-129F both at Vermont service center, today my I-129F status has changed to :
On July 18, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.
what do that means ?
-
Vermont does not process I-129F's anymore. Basically, the East coast applications now go to Texas, the West coast applications go to California.
how is that ? i have 129f and its at vermont, i received NOA1 from Vermont center, they didnt say that it moved to Texas, i am at East coast too.
How to get a K3? (split and merge)

yes i just want to be with my wife before its too late, where i live here militias are taking over week after week and clashing with army and taking over new areas, they are blocking roads and fighting army and things are getting worse, the country is like poured on gaz and a small spark with engage a civil war with foreign militias fighting such as al qaeda and ISIS, add to that the possibility that the consulate may close because of that, its like a battle with time, i just want to be with my wife, she is anxious all the time we already survived 2 car blasts when she was here, we really dont mind doing the paper work there rather than here and we dont mind paying the fee for adjustment of status
