uscis1 got a reaction from NuZayetsPogodi in NVC received and case # assigned now what?
Call again and get the Invoice Number as well. After like 3-4 days, you will log into your case using this link https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx (you will need the case number and the Invoice ID Number to log in and fill out choice of agent form) Than call in like 3-5 days, call again and confirm the agent with the representative and once that's done, continue to make payments on your case and it's going to be much quicker now. That's good to know right?

Work Visa's is something your Employer would handle, one of the quicker/better ways is to get your current Employer to transfer you to the US.

Not a 6-month wait before you can work. After you arrive on K1, get married, get the marriage certificate and apply for the green card (and employment authourization doc and advanced parole doc), it will be about 60-90 days to get the employment doc and then you can work while waiting for the green card. OR if you get married first and then apply for the spousal visa, it will probably take longer overall, but once you get the visa, you can work as soon as you arrive.

Having a US citizen child does not automatically grant any immigration status for you.

If your spouse is not a USC or a Green Card holder (if yes then spouse can petition for you) then i believe the options are Green Card lottery or wait until your son reaches age 21 (if i'm not mistaken) then he could petition for you.
