J+H reacted to SusieQQQ in N400 backlog skyrockets under new administration
The article did contact uscis and publish their rebuttal, as I highlighted in the text. They quote one organization, clearly with a bias as you point out, and they quote the response. That’s called fair and balanced reporting, even if you don’t like what it says. It’s not just emotively bleating one side and leaving it like that, which I’ve certainly seen on some websites.

Everything I have read in this forum has indicated that it is taking longer and longer to process N400s. A cursory look at the uscis page for N400 processing times shows many, possibly the majority, can take well over a year now. I’d be perfectly happy to read the fox or breitbart slant on that, should you want to post it.

First, you went mad because at CSC the approval time was about 1 month at CSC, 7 months at TSC, how can that be possible?
Now your mad because some people with a couple of days ahead are being approval first? damn, the last 3 NOA2 on this thread were from April, calm down you guys.... The whole USCIS make no sense, but it is what it is. I hope everyone get approval, dont care if it is first or last, in front or behind me.

I was trying to see if local offices handled I129f's before and came across this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/441796-faq-case-transfers-to-another-service-center/
I am not sure if it is still accurate, but it basically says that the first notice you all received meant your electronic file had been transferred to another service center and the second one saying it had been transferred to a local office meant that your physical file had been transferred.. and you will get a third text soon that means your physical file has been received. So according to this it means you are going to another service center (California? Vermont even?) rather than a "local office"
granted - i am definitely new to this, and this absolutely can be outdated - but just wanted to share what i found since it looked like the messages you all received
    good luck guys!!
edit- i am clearly new and can't even figure out how to post a link - but it is the faq-case-transfers-to-another-service-center - i dont know why it won't post

I did a little research on VisaJourney to see if this ever happened before, and found this topic from a year ago. People who got transfered got their NOA2s a month or so after the transfer. I didn't read the whole thing as I haven't been transfered (at least not yet), but it might give hope to you guys

You know, more irritating than the CSC filers on a TSC thread grinning about how the got their NOA2 after a short wait is a filer who has waited longer than someone else and feels the need to remind them and the rest of world. You clearly haven't read or understood the original post which brings attention to the fact that us newer filers realize it's a long wait, we know it's a long wait, and just like arrogant filers like you, we're anxious to be reconnected with our loved ones. It clearly is meant to be interpreted that knowing this, as our hearts aren't on the same page as our minds, this doesn't stop us from anxiously checking the status of other filers in hopes that theirs will be spread up faster or maybe even workload transfer will occur so that this long wait will go by faster. All of us going through TSC are waiting for the same outcome, so please go sit in your chair and calm your itchy fingers before you and any other TSC filer who has issues with us describing our personal experiences feelings with wait times feel the need to give your two cents. You ain't slick throwing out a shady good luck message as if that's supposed to make your comment less rude. Madness, you and other people walking around like your wait time and separation from your loved one is worse than anyone else because you filed sooner. . .

I'm trying to figure out where in this topic the OP complained about not getting a quick NOA2...
I'm sure the OP realizes that the wait times between TSC and CSC are drastically different, they didn't make their account recently. So what if they filed a month ago, to me their post seemed like this: the OP knows they're in for a long wait since they're at TSC but they're having difficulty seeing the quick approvals from CSC. The OP is anxious and becomes more discouraged every time they see a CSC approval so quick, and all of us at TSC know how that feels. Despite the emotional torment the OP can't keep away, and the OP is looking for a suggestion on how to deal with this, or at least someone that can relate to their feelings.
(geez I said OP a lot, but I don't know what their gender is!)

J+H got a reaction from AlissaCarly in Sign the petition - balance the load between TSC and CSC
Wow, I am really glad that I missed most of this conversation. I don't think that insulting and dismissing the concerns of others is particularly mature or constructive behavior from our "veterans". If you're not interested in the opinions of others, then don't read them. There's no need to be obnoxious about it. Maybe you could go knock an ice cream cone out of a child's hands instead. You know who you are.
The "it's always been this way and you shouldn't expect anything better" attitude leads directly to this apathetic and inefficient system. I don't think it's radical to suggest that the USCIS could distribute based on case load and process ALL applications in the order received, regardless of the form-type or residence of the applicants. That just seems fair - we all get in line and wait together.
I don't expect that we will get the 100k needed for the White House to review the petition. That's not really the point. The point is to give those of us who are not resigned and apathetic a tool to demonstrate a level of interest/concern to our representatives.
I know that my partner and I have a long way to go and that none of this will (probably) help us. I know that couples from CA who aren't even engaged yet will get processed before we do. I'm doing this to try and make things fairer in the future.
Thanks to the 57 who have signed on to the petition so far. And thanks to everyone who will sign in the future.
If you have constructive or positive ideas, please pm me. I'm leaving this thread to the resigned and bitter.

    Hi.
I've read thread after thread about how far behind TSC is processing I-129fs and I am just so frustrated by the unfairness. Should I move across the country for 6 months just to get the USCIS to process our application 4-5 months sooner? It's just ridiculous.
I am going to email my senators and congressperson about this absurd imbalance. I am also trying to bring it the attention of the White House. Please sign the petition here: http://wh.gov/loVaS Ask your friends and family to sign. Email your representatives with a link to the petition so that they can see how many of us are affected. If we get 100,000 signatures by June 28 (a stretch, I know, but let's try!), the White House will review the petition directly!
    Thanks.
    Heather.

Notice how the people who are saying "no" and "waste of time" are people who have already gone through this and have their loved ones by their side. *tsk tsk*

I know that for me, it is and it isn't about my own file. YES, I want my file to move quicker through the bureaucracy, but I also want the system to be reformed. It shouldn't be this kind of ebb and flow, one center is slow, then the other, back and forth nonsense. They need to have a consistent and reliable system that is fair to EVERYBODY, no matter what service center their petitions have been sent to. To think that we should just sit back and do nothing because, "it's always been this way" or "that's just how it goes" or "I've been waiting way longer than you" is ridiculous. It is a guarantee that nothing ever will change if we all sit back and do absolutely nothing. Are we wasting our time? Maybe. The government is notoriously lazy and difficult to make any noticeable changes. BUT, I'd rather be doing something than just being a floater at the mercy of the waves in this sea of bureaucracy.

@barron555 - Actually, only people stuck at TSC have gone through this. The forums are full of West-Coast people who are receiving NOA2s 6-8 weeks from CSC after their NOA1s. The balance may have been different in the past, but that doesn't make it ok. Load balancing is not rocket science, nor is it unreasonable.
Everyone else - Apparently whitehouse.gov doesn't expose the petition to searches until it has at least 150 signatures! Please share the link so we can get over that threshold.
    Thanks.
