  1. Answer is NO.. That question only is applicable if you had a paying job and did not file income tax return. That was what the Immigration officer told me when I had my citizenship interview, because in my first year as a resident I did not have a job and did not file income tax for that year and I answered yes to that question in the form, so she corrected me during the interview.

  2. oops, already filed I-129f. I was approved and i've been calling the NVC once a week. I know its been around 25-28 days lately though.

I did include my transcript in my evidence of meeting in person because my fiance and I met in nursing school. He was a year ahead of me though. And I made sure to include in our 34a explanation of meeting in person, that we were both nursing graduates and that I plan to get my RN license here in California.

Not sure if that helps. :/

Thats a good idea, I wish I had known it would have been easier that way but I'm now in the US and the doctor will no longer let me travel. My asthma also was worse in the Philippines because of the weather. I actually almost died last February because my lungs closed completely and they had to intubate me and put me in the ICU for a week.

Not sure how my lungs will react to giving birth either :/

Thanks alot for your advice, I wish i had asked sooner. Again, awesome website. I've read just about everything on the K1 visa there and I always go back while Im doing each step. I dont feel so lost.

I guess it all depends now on the US embassy interviewer and whether he or she decides to approve our case.

Oh about the CBRA, my cousin tried that for his son and there's a requirement for having stayed in the US, I think 2 years after the age of 14. He didnt meet that requirement so he wasnt able to get a US passport for his son.

i hope everything will be positive on your case, and i hope you will have a safe delivery of your baby..

    Good luck on your journey

  3. Ah, I understand why you want to delay scheduling until after the medical.

Here is a work around that has been accepted by SLEC. ONCE you have your MNL# and the CEAC website shows your status as READY, print that page (required number of copies) and bring it to SLEC for the medical.

Thank you, i think we will do that route

  4. Do you have the letter from NVC with the MNL# on it? The embassy states a copy of that letter or a copy the interview confirmation page are required for the medical. So if you have the NVC letter you can do the medical without paying the visa fee or scheduling the interview

No we haven't got our mcn or nvc letter. We just got approved on the 25th.. I was thinking if we have the number to schedule the medical without scheduling the interview because my fiance has a spot on his lungs.. Thanks hank and sorry for hijacking this thread

  5. CEAC website.

Medical is a first come first served, NO letter. Just go to the SLEC website, complete the pre-registration, then bring the required documents. Medical is normally 2 days.

Follow the flashing arrow in my signature.

Hi hank, can we do the medical without scheduling the interview and or paying the visa fee?

  6. just got our NOA2 hardcopy from the mail today :joy:

4 days after the NOA2 notice date

Hi guys i have a problem, if anyone can help me figure this out here. as i was scheduling my interview date the system keeps on refreshing so when i've checked my appointment schedule it was scheduled 3x with the same time and date. So i cancelled it, and now i'm having a problem with scheduling because the system doesn't accept or recognize my mrv receipt? Will i be able to schedule again or do i need to pay the visa fee again and wait for 90 days? Pls help me frown emoticon thank you

you can only reschedule twice with your receipt. you may want to call nvc about it and explain regarding the technical issues you had that is why you made 3 appointments

  7. Hi. Our case is already approved I have my manila case number but i dont receive any eligibility letter

you can start by paying the visa fee and schedule your interview and have your medical exam at St. Luke's extension clinic

  8. NVC lost our Japan Police Certificate.. Our case is under supervisor review bec. of this.. I called NVC and told them that we send it along with our other supporting documents.. The representative just told me that she will put our case under supervisor review.. How long does it take when case is unde supervisor review? Another waiting game again! So frustrating.. I need more patience?

do you by any chance made a copy of it? if so you can ask NVC if you can send a copy of the lost document.

  9. Thank you for your prompt response. Can you provide more details? 4 months from when I submitted the petition or when I received the letter from Manila Embassy?

    Thank you again.

the dates can be found on your NOA2 hard copy, it indicates the validity of your approved petition and you only have those dates to complete all the process. But as what is said you can request for extension esp if you have valid reason like you are still waiting for the passport. Good luck!

  10. So odd, I just checked the iphone app again and SO MANY cases before and after our case number were already approved or an RFE was sent. I know the wait we have to deal with is nothing compared to some fellas who got stuck at the TSC months ago, but it's still weird to see our case being 'skipped' in the list (for now). VJ's estimation is saying I could start hearing back from them starting tomorrow. I guess we'll just wait and see.

Congrats to all of those who have received their NOA2 recently!

hang in there, yours will probably arrive in few days.. the waiting process is crazy, but it will soon arrive for you...

    HI everyone,

Late last night I decided to check the USCIS app and my email and all of the sudden I saw that my case had been approved by USCIS. It was the best feeling ever, I felt happy and so releived. Now the wait for the case to be transferred at NVC starts, hopefully is soon.

P.S.(I forgot to post here on this thread, I posted on July filers.)

Good luck to everyone else! :)

we definitely have the same dates.. USCIS did not even send me text or email regarding the approval, since i sent G1145 with my packet.. I just randomly checked the app and surprised it showed APPROVED and i verified i immediately to USCIS website and it is for real... good luck

  11. In the past I left Philppines to work in other countries both times I said I was getting married but I didn't have cfo and used an escort and tears to let io let me through. This past year I tried to go on vacation with my hubby and they denied us cause they didn't believe I was just vacation. We filed k1 and got approve thank God. I already have visa and my cfo. Can immigration keep me in the country for the past? I have all documents visa, cfo, embassy packet, this time and I expect to go to room for questions. They know already both times before I just went for work even though I lie. What can I do? My fiance does not know and I leave next week? I just want to know if they can keep me here?

there should not have any problem as long as you have your paperworks.. Valid visa, cfo, of course passport.. good luck to you..

  12. Great!! BTW, can I use your indorsement on my website so others can see the excitement and what you just experience?

    sure you can..

Case Tracker has a lot to offer too.. it has tabs for up to date Visa Bulletin, USCIS News, Processing Time, and other resources like, USCIS offce locator, Civil surgeon locator and trackitt forum..

this is very impressive app.. and is connected to USCIS website so you can guarantee the authenticity..

  13. Didn't expect a delay for the PPid. It makes sense if the passport is being printed by the same company as the PPid, then naturally they both may be held hostage. Thanks for the info.

it's the PPid and SSS ID has the same printing facility as what the person in philpost office said.. passport has different printing facility, they upgrading the passport so they can print it locally... as what i saw in philippine news, dfa said some parts of the existing passport is printed in Europe..

and here's what DFA had said about the delays of passport

  14. Unless you have personal experience, the PhilPost website for PPid's states that the turnaround time is 10-15 days for far reaching delivery locations. For Manila it's 5 days.

My fiance wanted to get postal id last month. He inquired to the local philpost office, they told him the facility that prints the SSS Umid ID is the same that prints the postal id, he got his UMID id after 3 months.. Maybe in metro manila it is much quicker.. Or it might get better nowadays anywhere. Who knows.. Driver's license is quicker to obtain maybe days.. But i won't be surprise if any of those ID are delayed, as the same with philippine passport

  15. Ok, that's where she got the 1 year thing. It's valid for 1 year. So, to her, that meant she could only get one per year. An easy mistake to be made, especially when someone isn't accustomed to collecting documents for anything. Lots of good information.

It's so easy to get nbi clearance. She need to log in online, put all her data there, select the payment method she wants, they have alot of payment center, choose appointment for her personal appearance at any nbi office near her and show up bring the receipt and her online application.

  16. We have not started the visa process yet. She will be going for her passport interview Friday, and she got barangay, police, and NBI clearances as supporting documents, because when she started the process of collecting requirements for the passport, she only had a Postal ID and former college ID and nothing else.

Since she has the 3 clearances already for her passport, would a copy of those clearances be satisfactory in the visa process?

and for the visa process, she only need to have the NBI clearance but it needs to be recent, 6months prior to usage for US visa process. She may need to get a new copy when the time comes for your visa processing.

barangay clearance is not accepted for passport anymore.. She needs one valid ID like school ID, SSS Umid ID, voter's ID, driver's license, professional ID. They have a new Postal ID which is already digital but it will take 3months to get it.

Driver's license is the quickest to get if she doesn't have any ID to use for passport.

  18. Congrats! Hopefully we'll be next. :)

thank you.. Hang in there, i was almost loosing my mind of waiting.

    Congrats!

This is exciting, you're timeline is only a couple days ahead of mine. Hoping to have some news within several days. Although possibly getting an RFE for passport photo size, if they are strict about that.

Wishing you a speedy process ahead.

thank you. I hope you have the approval soon. They are kinda strict about passport photo but as long as it is 2x2 in size and your facial features are shown that will be ok. It is one step at a time for us. I am hoping for December POE for him, so he can be with his family on Christmas and we will be together on New year's day.
