  1. So we got our case number on Oct. 8, case was IN TRANSIT OCT. 9, I called NVC today, they confirmed they sent our case to USEM manila Oct. 9, but until today (Oct 20) our case is still IN TRANSIT... I called US EMBASSY to inquire, the lady i talked to said they don't have the information about that because they only can access limited info about our case.. She said, once USEM receive the case, they will send Eligibility letter to me or to the beneficiary stating that we can now schedule interview appointment..

But we already set the interview on Oct 29. Is it possible that by that time our case will be READY? or if USEM already have our case?

    thank you...

  2. Congrats to everyone who recently got their NVC number!! ^_^

I've been reading from the shadows the last few days but I figured I would come out and say hi.

My fiancee's NOA2 was September 21st but up until today NVC says they havent received the paperwork yet. I called USCIS to check and verify they did send it to NVC or see where the paper is but they say they cant formally look into it until 30 days have passed :P.

Does anyone know of any "magic" words to use so that USCIS can look into it and see where the paperwork actually is?

I got our case number 45 days after approval.. It seems getting slower now. But you can call USCIS and let them connect you to Tier 2 agent, they are the one that can look up your case specifically. If they won't connect you hang up and call again until you find an agent that will connect you to Tier 2..

  3. No, they only check if you have communicable disease.. Like tuberculosis.. If they find a spot or blur on the lungs that's the time they will do sputum to check for Tuberculosis.. there's no problem with smoking and drinking, doctor may ask about it as part of your history but just be honest to answer

  4. For Ckinook and me, it definitely has been worth it...the best 6+ years of our lives.

That's amazing.. Best wishes to you both

    Awesome!!!! You're almost there! :)

Yes m, we are now preparing for his interview on the 29th

  5. I am happy to share that my fiance's xray is CLEAR. He is done with his medical.. I don't know why but I believe our prayers were answered...

it's possible that the doctor who diagnosed him with TB made a mistake,, he is known for that.. but it was many yrs ago.. my fiance might not have TB after all..

  6. Fiance went to SLEC 7:30 am, got through the security guard, only asked for passport, copy of passport biopage, SLEC registration, Interview appointment confirmation and 4 pcs of visa picture.. got #185, not bad for going their late.

(did not even bother to see the IN TRANSIT screen shot)

    1. Biometrics

    2. Payment

    3. Blood Extraction

    4. X-ray

they let him go for lunch break at around 10:30am and have to come back at 1:30pm for Pulmonary Evaluation, since he has a history of TB

let's see what happens next when he returns

  7. It doesn't matter if the file is in transit. SLEC does not care. As long as you can produce an official document with MNL#, then they satisfied. SLEC wants a copy of the interview confirmation letter/email/webpage printout, OR the NVC letter OR a screen print from CEAC with your MNL#. That all. Nothing more and nothing less.

Thank you so much.. I was worried with that.. But he already has interview confirmation ang ds160 confirmation...

You could schedule an interview and use the confirmation printout to be admitted into St. Lukes.

Yes we do have that and ds160.

    Thank you for your response..

  8. Yea, it was "in transit" when i went to my medical. I just showed them a print screen copy. Its really not advisable to do that, though. But it works. I guess. Mine changed from "in transit" to "ready" less than 24 hours, which was pretty cool. I wish you and your fiance the best! :)

Thank you so much.. I felt relieved with what u said.. He is going in for medical tomorrow Monday PH time, maybe it will change to ready by tomorrow too but for now we'll use the IN TRANSIT status...

  9. if you have the case number, you can track it on

    https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

when it says READY, it means it is already in Manila US embassy, you can pay the visa fee in BPI banks in the Philippines, wait about 4hrs to 24hrs until the payment is generated and you can go ahead and set your interview..

print screen the ready status of your case, then you can register online for medical then submit yourself for medical in st luke's extension clinic
