  1. You are not the first that has pushed their interview close like this... and that is what I am basing "my gut feeling" on...

I met somebody from fb page too and we have the same case but i was ahead for few days... She is closely monitoring her case too..

We'll just get busy preparing for the interview.. Everything is set already, plane ticket and hotel stay.. No more turning back with the schedule

Thanks Hank for aleays responding and putting up with my rant

  2. The embassy has an electronic copy of your case file, they had it when your actual case file was still at NVC. I don't know if I would cancel, I lean towards keeping the interview, then if they say reschedule do it then... but at is me.

I would want to pursue with the schedule but it's just that i don't know what's gonna happen.. So i emailed USEM to inquire the whereabout of our case, and called them earlier, the person i talked to said he saw i emailed the US embassy and it was already escalated to immigration section, they don't have access about any info other than the interview schedule, case number, names and passport #...he said to keep my lines open for any replies from them, and it is my discretion if we would go to the scheduled interview or not... I have been researching over google who among has similar case as ours...But i still have 3 business days before my fiance's interview.. Ill just hope for the best

  3. My mom did sputum test and culture when she did her medical, she immigrated last yr. when she got here, she received a call from the Public health nurse to follow up, she did another xray again and sputum test.. And the nurse suggested that she needs a primary doctor to do another physical exam and recommend a clinic which caters new immigrant without insurance and will only pay by sliding scale amount based on the household income.

  4. Good thing we're not planning on going to interview until end of November as I'd like to be there when my fiance gets interviewed, but it would be comforting to know that the papers are there and ready for the next step. :( Everything has gone really smooth until this delay.

our case has been delayed since from uscis to nvc up until now.. I thought when we did schedule our interview without being ready on the status was affected by how fast it would take usem to receive our case, hearing ur story gave me relief. So it's just a matter of receiving or opening it on usem part i guess
  5. We are in the same boat. Our packet left NVC on October 9th too and up to now, CEAC status still shows "In Transit." It has been two weeks. It just worries me too because it only takes a few days for most people's packets. Ugh.

Some only takes a day or 2.. It's just so unfair..

    Hi guys..

In worst case scenario, if our case is not yet READY by wednsday manila time, should i cancel interview appointment? Or should my fiance go to usem as scheduled and take a big risk?

  6. There always has to be a 1st. ;)

Maybe you will be the very first one whose case didn't show up in time for the interview, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Hopefully there'll be no problems about that.. But ill just forget about it and be prepared for his interview..

I did set up cfo already on the nov 12th, with or without visa.. I heard some stories slots are very limited and people are not able to choose their dates because the day they like is gone

  7. You are DO-DOing too much! Never DO-DO when DO will DO. Don't sit around waiting for a letter from the embassy that rarely, if ever, arrives.

Relax. If you schedule your interview 4-5 weeks out from when you got your MNL# you will be fine.

Pay your visa fee, wait a day then schedule your interview, get your medical done, gather the required documents...

    Hi hank, everything is done..

    Visa fee

    Ds 160

    Medical..

All we are waiting is the interview date which is oct 29,

NVC sent out our case oct 9 to US embassy, but until now our case is still IN TRANSIT, i am just worried that in time of interview they won't have our case ready.

  8. The will have now. It takes about 1 week once it leaves NVC and lands on the doorstep and gets checked in at USEM.

hopefully it gets there by next week

The U.S. Embassy Manila definitely will have your case ready to go by the time your interview rolls around.

    hopefully..

Thank you both for your response.. Can't help but to get worried about this, coz from the start of our visa journey our patience has been tested hard...

How do you know it's left NVC?

I checked CEAC, when i got our case number, it says AT NVC, once it leaves NVC it will say IN TRANSIT
