Hi,
Just I checked my case status. It says " The case was received at my local office" and "On April 9, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXX, at your local office".
Can anybody tell me is this notification normal? Why it is changed to local office? and which local office I have no clue.
I had applied to VSC, for lifting conditions.
Thanks
Mine says the same!!

Hi everyone! I applied for ROC 2 months ago and now its just a waiting game...
My husband and I are flying to Florida for vacation in April, and I was just wondering what form of I.D will they ask from me at the airport? On the flight tickets we put my maiden name, because thats whats on my passport. But then I realized that they might ask for just my drivers license, which has my married name on it. Should I change the name on the tickets or keep it as my maiden name and just bring along my passport, expired green card, extension letter, marriage license, and drivers license, to be safe?

that's great for you! I believe it depends on how busy the field office is. Atlanta seems to be slow
Oh yesh you forgot to indicate your NOA received date let me know so I can update!
Oooops! I think I got a little confused. My NOA1 is dated 12/11/17, I received it in the mail on 12/15/17. Sorry for any confusion!
This biometrics appointment was at a different office than when I went for AOS. I guess they changed offices, the first one I went to was in the middle of Boston. It was a tiny office with zero parking, this new one was much bigger and had ample parking.

Hey everyone, received my biometrics letter today, it's dated 12/22 so I guess it was held up from the holidays. It's at a different place from the place I went to last time which I thought was strange. Oh well!
-
Happy holidays everyone! Just added myself to the template, my NOA1 has a date of 12/15/17. When should I expect my biometrics letter? I see that not many people have theirs from VSC yet...

Received NOA1 today!
Heres my timeline so far:
Sent package to VSC 12/7
Delivered on 12/8
Check cashed 12/14
NOA1 in mail 12/15
The extension letter is valid from the date my green card expires, right?

We’re shipping it off on Monday via USPS! What is your all suggestions for posting the package?
Should we send it with “confirmed delivery” in their designated mailing envelopes... anything else?
We sent ours priority mail in a padded envelope we bought at the PO. They gave us a tracking number and it was delivered the next day. Hope this helps
-
Hi everyone, my ROC package was delivered on 12/8 to VSC. Woke up this morning to discover they have cashed the check! Hopefully that means I’ll be getting NOA1 soon. I’ve been convincing myself that I hadn’t signed the check, guess I did!

If I had to do it again, I would probably still go for the K1. It was already hard enough being apart, we both agreed that it would be even harder being married and being apart! It was tough on both of us waiting for the work authorization, I felt very alone and secluded for the 6 months that I couldn’t work. Not to mention the lack of funds. Before going through the visa process, we didn’t do much research, the K1 visa was the first one that popped up so we just went for it! No regrets through this whole thing Now we’ve been blissfully married for 2 years and are currently going through ROC.

Hi everyone!
We sent off my I751 packet on 12/7 to VSC. Checking our bank account every hour to see if they deducted the check! Eagerly waiting NOA1... I forgot how much of a nerve wracking process this is.

You're fine, its up to 90 days before the expiration date, so in reality you could petition a few days before Jan 15th. Good luck with the process, sit back and take a long, long nap, although you never know they might play catch up one day in the future. Perhaps, maybe....
Thank you! I’m just used to doing stuff early, but there were a few things we were waiting on.
-
Thank you so much for your reply! Sometimes you just need to hear it from someone else

Hi everyone, my GC expires on January 15th 2018. I’m sending the i751 packet off by Wednesday 12/6. I’m a big worrier and need some reassurance that I haven’t left it too late!

Maybe this might help you to think about what evidence to provide?
Thank you!

Hi everyone! I can't believe I'm back here after the quickest and happiest 2 years of my life. My husband and I are assembling the package for ROC. Do we need 2 affidavits from people we know and do they need to be notarized? This is the evidence that we have...
- A copy of our joint 2016 tax return
- Copies of various utility bills in each of our names, none of them have both names as most companies don't allow that. My name is on the electric his name is on the cable etc...
- Copies of letters and holiday/birthday cards addressed to the both of us
- 50+ photos of us from the last 2 years with family and friends
- Copies of our joint checking account with monthly statements showing money going in and out
- Copy of joint health insurance
- Copy of a flight itinerary for us when we visited my hometown
- Copy of our old apartment lease with both of our names on
We don't have our names on our mortgage because my in-laws own the house and we just pay the rent. I don't drive yet so my name isn't on the car insurance either. The instructions for the I-715 form say to include 2 affidavits but I've seen people on here say that its not very good evidence. We are also expecting our 1st child together, yay! Is there anything to do with it that I can include such as a copy of the ultrasound?
Thanks for any input!

My AOS case went from "new card is being produced" to "your case has been approved" does this mean I won't be having an interview?
-
Thank you so much everyone!!!

Hi everyone. My EA and AP were recently approved, AOS is still in processing. I was just wondering what my legal status is? Is it legal resident? Permanent resident? Or is that when the green card is approved? Thanks for any help!
-
So happy AP and EA approved on December 31st with NOA1 for October 16th! My case status wasn't updated until today though. Good luck to everyone else
