    Hello,
From what I read it can take any where from 1-2 weeks up to 1 month for the file to make it to the NVC. Mine took almost 3 weeks, but they seem to be sending it out to the embassy within a week or so after processing. The number for NVC is 603-334-0700. The best times to call are around 7am EST (opening time) and after 10pm (they close at midnight EST). If you call outside of this you may keep getting the busy signal. In the meantime, you should definitely start preparing your documents that will be needed for the interview.
One of the helpful places to look is your embassy's page (Montreal or Vancouver). I was going to attach the link but not sure which one your going to be interviewing at . You should see a tab on visajourney titled "Embassy Info". Click that, find your embassy, and review the information that's there. What they require for the interview varies by country. I also found the K1 guide very helpful:
    http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide
Others have said things start moving pretty quickly after the NOA2, which is good
On another note, Congratulations to all the recently approved and those that will soon be approved!

I would call USCIS and ask about the status of your application. When I was transferred and didn't receive a printed notice I called and found out everything I needed to know about where my application was and what the status was. The number to contact them should be on your notice of transfer. Just my two cents.

...I'm still waiting. And every day is getting more difficult. I hear my phone & hope...& sheer disappointment every time. After that text Tuesday night, I feel they owe me. That was cruel. So very very cruel. I just want to be with my love, & it feels like it'll never happen. If it's not soon, there's no way he'll be with me for Christmas.

I really loved this post! It was really encouraging to read at a time when I am feeling really down. Our NOA 1 was April 3rd. I keep telling myself I've waited this long, so what's a few more weeks. It's hard still but I keep trying to think like you said in that post. Life will be amazing soon and we will be with the ones we love. It will all be worth it when we look back on it.

My fiance left 3 days ago... So I totally know how you feel, my heart left with him... but in the same time, the trip really pumped me up. This is the last time I will see him till I am going to be there with him.
Soon I will change my whole life, every aspect of it. I am leaving my parents,my band, my surroundings, my language, my culture and even my continent.

That's sooooo exciting. His visit was so amazing, another peak in what will be an amazing life.
Focus on that feeling and you will feel a lot better.
We've been transferred and transferred people are accepted every each day. Things are moving slow, but they are moving so much faster than a few months ago.
We will be accepted soon, it is a fact. Tomorrow, next week, in 3 weeks .... that's not that long...and from that point, it usually takes from 1 month and a half to two months till you have the visa in your hands. We will be out of this backlog who f**ked with our lives.
    I'm so excited!
Life is good and will be amazing soon.
Congratulations to all the people who have been approved, especially to the creator of this thread. I am truly happy for you. Have an amazing journey and enjoy every second of it.

I think this is wishful thinking and maybe giving some false hope. While I wish I could say I think we'll be approved within the next two weeks, I think that's really too soon to expect it. Approvals are definitely coming in but not that quickly. There were a lot transferred. More than we know of. And our case hasn't been touched since the 19th. I hope within a month we have news.

Congrats! Please update your timeline to show that you were transferred to CSC. (You can leave TSC as your original processing center.) This will help the website's timeline information to be more accurate.

It's all relative isn't it? Speedy to a TSC filer is anything under 5 months and if these folks get a 4 to 5 month approval as a result of the transfer rather than waiting the original expected 5.5 to 7 months then that would be speedy (er)...
I think the days of 3 week approvals at CSC are long gone but 60-90 days is still great compared to what TSC has been going through. It will balance out for a while until it tips to the other side then transfers will happen the other way...ugh.

That doesn't make any sense at all, & going by past transfers between service centers, that's not how they're handled. Why would they mix them & cause all of us to be further behind than we would be at tsc? This is helping to even the workload. Both service centers will be able to process in a timely fashion, that's all. And we filed months ago, why mix us in with those who just sent them out? Where did you hear this from? I'm very curious.

Time will tell but I seriously doubt it. Processing time will now increase even more at CSC with an additional 1500 - 2000 petitions arriving at their door this week so to place them at the back of the line would make no sense at all. Why would you transfer for "faster processing" and then do that. Nonsense.
Don't believe it for a minute.

Maybe I jumped the gun and wrote that from a very biased perspective. Where my fiance is from, there is a lot of opportunity and we both agree much more readily with the style and quality of life that would be available to us. If my circumstances were different, I would move there and live with him and we actually do plan to do so at some point in the not so distant future. All this would require is arriving at the airport with our marriage certificate and later having my passport certified, which would grant me the ability to work and live just as any other Irish citizen would. After three years of residency, I could then apply for citizenship. A drastically different process from the one we are currently going through, which is necessary if we want to be together anytime soon.
I know America is a great place to live, especially compared to many other parts of the world. It's great that people are still actually able to immigrate here and become fully naturalized, considering this country was built on immigration. But this process comes at no uncertain cost. All I'm trying to say is that I believe this system is flawed. This is one of the most difficult countries to immigrate to for a number of reasons and, honestly, I don't feel the opportunitities available in this country outweigh the opportunities available to me in my fiance's country, and that makes me extra bitter when considering this process. I am probably unique in that respect and it is something that is certainly a matter of opinion. My preference against my own country and the "America is the best" mentality can be pretty obvious sometimes.

Just a pre-warning: this is going to be a pretty long rant, though I'll attempt to keep it minimal.
I agree with you in regards to positivity. Without it, both in this process and in life in general, you will simply be bitter, miserable, cynical and stressed out 100% of the time.
HOWEVER, I completely and utterly disagree with the entire mindset that "Life is unfair, deal with it." Yes, life is unfair. In some instances, such as death of a loved one or being laid off from a job, it is unavoidable and you are powerless in changing these things. Your only ability lies within yourself and your state of mind, which is where positivity is absolutely necessary. What you will find is that there are processes in life that you have to deal with that can and NEED be changed. I know this is a really dramatic example, but such was the case with segregation and slavery in the U.S. It was unfair and wrong in every respect. But if people had just accepted the deafest mindset that "life is unfair I just have to stay positive" then NOTHING WOULD HAVE CHANGED.
With that being said, this is a lot different. I don't feel as though my fundamental human rights are being violated. Hahaha. But the process is unfair and it is unfair in a lot of respects. Not only is this process unequal in terms of service center assignment and processing times, but also in terms of beneficiary country. My primary issue with this process is that no one should be penalized for falling in love with a human being from a different part of the world. And it doesn't matter how you try to sugarcoat it or justify this process; it is unfair and it is ridiculous that in order to be with and marry the person you love, you have submit an insane amount of paperwork, pay an insane amount of money and wait a ridiculous length of time just to BE TOGETHER. And this is true regardless of how long you have to wait.
This is why it is so important to try and influence this process in any way possible. Raise awareness, contact your state representatives, email heads of departments to express your concerns, etc. So, yes, the process is unfair and it is necessary for your mental and physical health to remain positive and optimistic. This doesn't mean you should be content with your situation by any means, though. And if you do nothing, nothing will change. Remember, this isn't just unfair for us, but for all of the people who will go through this process after us. It's important we attempt to make things easier for them, as well.
To everyone at the CSC who have either been approved or are still waiting:
Keep in mind that there are people at the TSC who have been waiting a VERY long time to receive their NOA2s. A lot longer than you have been waiting most likely. If these new transfers increase your wait time, they will decrease TSCs and level the playing field for ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS, regardless of geographic location. And that is how it should be. There should not be such huge discrepencies between service center processing times. Both centers should be running around the same wait times. And if that means you will have to wait an extra month or two, then take your own advice: Remain positive and know that the wait will strengthen your relationship. This is all about equality. TSC filers don't want you to suffer or wait any longer than you have to. Ideally, everyone would be approved within a week! They just want fairness. And these transfers are a step in the right direction.
To everyone at the TSC who have either been approved or are still waiting:
Keep in mind that those with petitions at the CSC did not choose their service center. It is entirely dependent upon geographic location and out of their (and your) hands. While it is unfair that they are being approved months ahead of you, remember that it is still difficult for them to be apart from the people they love and want to be with. They are concerned about these trasnferring and potential increases in processing times for fair enough reasons. You would be, as well. They do not want to be apart from their fiance(e)s any longer than you do. Additionally, they are still forced to deal with all of the bureaucracy and hand over all of the money that you have to. It is difficult and unfair to all of us. They may be approved in a month, but then be stuck at the NVC for two months or the embassy for three. Who knows? At any rate, it is not their fault they are processed so much more quickly, so don't hold it against them. It's nothing personal.

It's so good to know that I'm not alone and that others here are going through the exact thing I am. Even when it comes to heart wrenching moments. I'm going up to Vancouver to visit this Friday. When it is time for my visit to end it is going to hurt, but with any luck all of us will be celebrating approvals sooner rather than later. I'm stressing about getting into Canada when I know I shouldn't worry too much. I keep going back and forth on what I'm going to say to customs. I have never lied and have no plans too, it's just going to be my first visit where I am coming to the country to visit my fiancé as opposed to just a friend. I'm taking proof of ties to home country and of course our NOA1. Anyways, it's good to know that we aren't alone and that all of us are going through very similar things. Helps me maintain my sanity a bit more. Here's to all of us getting approvals soon!

We're the same way! Whether he comes here to NY or I go up there to Toronto, we never really go anywhere, maybe to the movies and places to eat but that's it. My mom thinks it's "such a shame" that I don't take him to see the sights and vice versa, yes we purposely do that! He IS the main attraction to see when I visit him, and I am his when he comes here. There will be plenty of time for sight seeing when we're together for good...

This process is incredibly stressful on everyone, and hopefully you will find comfort and support through this site. My fiance and I have been doing the long distance thing for several years now, and I totally agree with MeganLuke...it seems like waiting and being apart is WAY more difficult now that the visa process has begun. I guess it's like knowing the finish line is just around the corner but then feeling like everything kicks into slow motion and finishing the race seems mostly out of our control. I've found that reading the posts in the forums can be helpful on those days when the frustrations and worries get overwhelming. It is sad that "they" make it so difficult for people who love each other (and can "prove" it) to be together. Hang in there...post whenever you need some support or have questions.

If you want adress that kind of attitude I suggest you talk with moderators and give names of the people that are offending you, so you dont have the need to put a general label to all the TSC people being "hater"
I really believe that a bit of empathy, understanding and communication are better than intolerance for any part.

Seriously though, it is still 2 months we won't get back and the older you get, the more that means to you..trust me. There is still the NVC and interview process after that....ugh

I don't think anyone is trying to say that I-129F petitioners are better or more important than any others. We are all starting to fight amongst ourselves and that's just making this more stressful for everyone.
What I think is being asked is that everyone is treated fairly, as a U.S. citizen, regardless of the petition you file for immigrant of a relative/spouse.
I understand that perhaps they receive more I-130's, and the higher completion rate helps as the petitioners may have been waiting longer. This is fine - we are just asking to be treated equally.
No one is asking TSC to ignore I-485 or I-130 petitioners - if they are so far behind, have CSC handle MORE I-129F petitions. Clearly they do not have enough work if they are processing within almost 80% of the national average of 5 months.
    Let's not fight
    (fixed petition number I-485)

I don't know what's worse though, the CSC filers (I looked at his thread...it's very sarcastic & rude & should be deleted) or the older tsc filers who get mad when we complain about the wait. No matter how far into this, it freaking hurts. I know I have to wait & that knowledge just...hurts. We clearly marked the topic TSC, as we do NOT want to read stupid updates like " I've submitted my petition 2 hours ago and i'm already at POE"
People here have been waiting for MONTHS at TSC and do not need you slamming your stupid CSC fast approval in their faces.
we KNOW CSC approves petitions fast. Thanks. We're aware. We're justa bunch of people trying to keep sane here while waiting over 5 months for the NOA2. So please stay away from TSC threads and stop being a jerk to other people.

I won't post my letter here, if that's what you're implying, but I just took the statistics from the dashboard, added some personal information about how I feel (very minimal) mentioned thousands of couples waiting & wrapped it up. I can send it to you in a private message when I get home from work if you'd like, just don't copy it verbatim.

They say their # is src which is Texas. It seems to be a fluke. We had one a few weeks ago too. I do strongly suggest we write to congress/senators. I'm not trying to get my case pushed ahead, I just want the system to move the way it should instead of screwing us all over. Yes, ideally, I want my fiancé here now, but I'm dealing with waiting til September, I'm just not going to be quiet about waiting longer than I should have to. I understand they're focusing on 130s now, but that doesn't mean others should backlog. My fiancé works at a building that deals with passports for the UK, when they're back logged, they work overtime & get them out like they're supposed to...

I know, it's terrible when there is such a back log... I saw in one of the posts that the amount of files in each center is actually the same every month but CSC is just faster. There are still more than half of the JAnuary filers waiting, I think we'd be lucky to get it in September I've always been positive about this visa process but as time goes by I miss him more and it feels like I don't have enough patience to wait a few more months.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I feel compelled to address a few of the concepts laid out here
1 True. Life is unfair and many of us are learning to "deal with it" in our own ways
2.The processing of these petitions is funded from the fees on submission and not from the people
3.The law provides for families of citizens to be reunited to them, within the framework of protection of the best interest of the nation and its citizens. A privilege supported by law is a right in my mind.
    4. The law does not say that they can deny you for no reason. although getting to that reason can be difficult in some cases
    5. USCIS is working hard to bring many of their processes under control but is facing a number of challenges. Providing focus on issues of importance can be done through our congressional representatives and may in fact help everyone including the front line people processing these requests

I am not mad at those getting processed at CSC. I'm happy for them. I'm merely stating not to say that the waiting is the easy part. That is a statement that would only be made by someone being processed at CSC. In no way do I have any hate, anger, or hostility towards CSCers. Just saying the wait is not easy. That's all.
