    Hey guys,

Nice to see other people from Miami on VisaJourney!

My husband and I applied, as you can see from our timeline, back on September 2013. As of today, April 16th, 2014, we have not received an interview yet.

The Miami field office is extremely busy! We did an InfoPass and they told us that it can take up to 10 months before you get an interview at the Miami office. This may not be the case at the Hialeah and Kendall offices however.

    Anyway, hang in there guys!

    @sunshine Any update????

We've been waiting in "Testing and Interview" for 3 months are already frustrated. I can only imagine how you feel.

    @f&C Any update????

  2. Hey everyone,

I AM EMPLOYED!! :) I start orientation on Tuesday.

Just wanted to wish everyone luck in their progress since I probably won't be posting as much in this thread. If anyone needs that list I have or any organizational tips for their interview package feel free to still message me because I love that stuff.

Just going to work and try and stop stressing about my interview date for next little while.

Super happy for you finally take a time off here..... I hope everything goes well later on on your interview, Thank you for the support giving to a lot of us here

  3. Hello VJ experts,

Trying to get an advise from you guys, so here is mi story:

Yesterday I called the USCIS to ask them expedite my EAD since I have a Job offer and that company wants me to start working as soon as possible. I gave them this information and I also told them I was going thru a difficult financial situation. They gave me a reference number and I hoped the result was going to be positive. This is the response I got:

    Type of service requested:

    -- Expedite

The status of this service request is:

Our records indicate that we are awaiting your response to our request for evidence on your I-485 application. Your I-765 application is currently in suspense or on hold until we receive your response. Please follow any instructions on that notice.

    ---

According to what I read on several threads here on VJ, If you got a RFE for your I485 application, the EAD was not put on hold. But I guess that was not true.

Any suggestion about what shud I do now? I don't wanna lose the opportunity to work for this company.

    Thank you!

Do you received a letter requesting documentation for your AOS and EAD????? and If don't call USCIS and ask what's the RFE they're asking for or get an infopass

  4. Sure. We arrived 30 minute early and stood in line to go inside. Once you pass security they take you into an auditorium with a lot of seats. You take a seat and once everybody is inside, two ladies came out and went through a Power Point presentation in which they list the documents that need to be brought to the interview (Birth certificates, passports, etc). They tell you to arrive on time to your interview. They explain that this is very important.

They also says to make sure you go to the right office that is on your interview letter. If you go to the wrong office your case can be denied.

It was very informative and I think that is a great workshop that helps people. It was only 20 minutes or so. Then they had a Question and Answer from the people in the audience. They do not answer specific case questions, but general questions about which documents to bring to the interview.

Like I said, it is very informative and if you get an invitation I suggest you go, because it is very informative.

Thank you Sunshine .... Quick update SSC arrived today

  5. The closer I get to sending in the AOS the more questions seem to arise! So my husband filed his taxes yesterday. We are ready to send our AOS package when we realized that now we are sort of in between. He has filed taxes but doesn't have a transcript to show proof. We filled out the I864 with the last three years (2010-2012) and have IRS transcripts for all those years. I can not delay sending this any longer as I am out of status and really need a SSN. So, should we just leave it as is? or should we redo it putting what he filed for in 2013 and not send an IRS transcript? Is there something else we should send instead of the IRS transcript that works??

Also, I did NOT tick the box in part 6 #13 form I-864 saying we filed for the most recent year only (because it says ONLY) in bold so I am assuming we just check the box saying we included all three years? This one confused me so much!

Thank you to all who can help! I appreciate it so much!

I did not sent transcripts, I ask IRS twice never get then I send W-2's and 1040 Forms

  6. Hello ALL

Please i need your assistance ,i am really stuck with my application.

I filled I-485( 2 photos) ,I-131,I-693,G-325,I-765( 2 photos) and my hubby I-864 and then we attached both Birth Certificate,Marriage cert,Money Gram(1170$)and Tax returns for hubby since hes the US C. Unfortunately all the docs got rejected .For sure i didn't include the I-130 as i was mislead by someone regarding what i required for my package to adjust the status and i am thinking this is one of the major cause of rejection.I came in with B2 visa and i got married in between my visit to my family ,my I-94 expired the beginning of this month :(

Please can you kindly advice me what i required to add on the above list and what other supportive docs do i need?for now we got lease of our apartment as joint .

    Thank you

This is what help me to put together my packet

  7. Sorry! I'm sure this is a repeat question, that's asked frequently, but I see so much different information and I want to be sure I'm doing things right.

We're about to send out or AOS/EAD packet to Chicago for K1 and K2.

Does anything in the supporting materials for any of the forms - i-485, i-864, etc, etc, need to be an original document, or can it all be photocopies?

I've seen info about the Marriage certificate being a certified copy, or else there might be an RFE. Does this mean the actual certified copy we received when we got married, or can i make a color copy of the marriage certificate?

I have my wife's original birth certificate, with the original certified translation from Kiev. Can I make a copy of the certified translation and send that, or do I send what she brought with her?

I've seen people that say one thing, or the other, and it's gotten confusing. Also, I've seen where we need to have all of the originals for if we have an interview, so don't want to send anything out that I need later.

    Thanks!!!

    Lee and Mariana

This could help you it help me a lot

  8. Well I ask Three different person for a Co-sponsor and one step forward and finally give me a hand with that, but the rest did not trust any one with they're personal Info (SSN and W-2's) And I understand that part, but you should tell your husband the consequences of not having a Co-sponsor and it is better wait a little longer and try to find one than get RFE for a Co-sponsor or even worse that USCIS return all the doc's

Sorry I feel for you I know what is like to be in your shoes

  9. That's great!

    Congrats!

By the way, today my husband and I went to a "Getting Ready for Interview" workshop that we were invited to. After the workshop one of the people at the workshop asked how long is the wait from filing to interview and they said that "currently" the wait is of "6 to 7 months." Unfortunately my husband and I have been waiting longer than that.

Where do you go to the workshop????

    That's great!
