Nice to see other people from Miami on VisaJourney!

My husband and I applied, as you can see from our timeline, back on September 2013. As of today, April 16th, 2014, we have not received an interview yet.

The Miami field office is extremely busy! We did an InfoPass and they told us that it can take up to 10 months before you get an interview at the Miami office. This may not be the case at the Hialeah and Kendall offices however.

I had a son from a previous marriage, my wife has no kids. I never listed my son at any stage of this process and never had an issue. If you think about it, why would the USCIS care about my son from a previous marriage? He isnt applying for any sort of benefit and has no affect at all on the process. Again, I didn,t mention him during AOS nor ROC and no issues

iI have a dughter, and yes I did mentioned her in all the process even though she was born in the US ----

My GC expired on the 27 of June and If i need to travel, Can I travel whit his letter.... (I know is not recommendable) or Am i gonna received a GC for a yr long ??

If you're the same as me (K1 entry/AOS/CGC now ROC) then you'll be getting a 10 year green card once they've processed and approved your application for ROC. Unless someone wants to contradict me you don't get a 1 year GC. You get an extension of your legal permanent residence status while they process your application and the proof is that NOA1. I'm assuming it's also in the DHS computers as well so if you're travelling you can show the NOA1 and (expired) GC. I'll be doubling checking that before any travel of course !

Eosorio, what you have done is APPLY for the 10-year Green Card. They will look at everything you sent in and decide whether to give you the 10-year green card. This takes 5 to 6 months, so in the meantime, they give you the I-797 letter. If your 2-year card expires, then you use the card and the letter until you get your 10-year card.

It's because your conditional resident status expires the day it says it does on your conditional greencard. The letter officially extends that by one year as it can take that long for them to process your ROC application. Means you're covered while they get around to doing it. Once done and approved they'll send you the 10yr GC . In my case if it takes a year I will then immediately apply for citizenship as a K1 immigrant. I just love working with the USCIS that much.

I need help, I am little be confuse with all this I-751 App..... This is my Timeline

05-02-2016 --- App was sent out

05-04-2016 --- Package was deliver by USPS as per online tracking

05-10-2016---- Proof of delivery arrived (USPS RECIPE)

05-16-2016 ---- i-797 (NOA) arrived and said and quote "YOUR CONDITIONAL RESIDENT STATUS IS EXTENDED FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR. DURING THE ONE-YEAR EXTENSION YOU ARE AUTHORIZED EMPLOYMENT AND TRAVEL. (THIS EXTENSION AND AUTHORIZATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AND TRAVEL DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU IF YOUR CONDITIONAL RESIDENT STATUS HAS BEEN TERMINATED.)" ---- It said this among other things about my bio-metrics app and other stuff

Now my question or confusion is that I though I was gonna recieved a 10 yrs Permanent residence ----the Why this saying They extende the resident card for one more yr????

Can someone help me here please

Family it's me again after 2 Yrs with my "Green Card" ---> Now I need Help with my I-751 PArt 5 (about children), I have a daughter from aprevious relation, and my wife has a son from a previous relation, do I have to put theyr'e Info....

I got an email this morning saying the following:

"On June 27, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file."

I have seen people on here they get a tracking number. I did not get one. Is that normal?

John .... I got approves yesterday GC will arrived tomorrow....

I think i was the only 1 on this forum with 2 interviews.

It was really intense!!!

The 1st interview we did together and lasted for 30 min

The 2nd interview i did alone for 2 hrs and wife did for 5 min.

I had to flip situations around because the interviewer was very well experience and know how to do her job very well.

At beginning she said, "I know you got married for the 'Greencard'. I just, 'Laugheddd loudly, and said, here we go, USCIS at its best'... loll - Guess what, she started laughing too.

Same situation all the way, i never got angry even for a second.

I always complemented her job.

In fact, I even said "you should get a mac, they are much faster"... She had strawberrys next to her "I asked her to have some and not beat me down".. etc

These guys are looking at the confidence levels! - The MORAL OF THE STORY is THE TRUTH!!! - You can only be confident when you are true.

But my truth was a little sketchy, but the truth

I thought that I was going to have another interview...... But you know what's odd, my wife was going to all the paperwork that I took the day of the interview I did not ouch then since that day, and the IO keep all the pics and the copy of all the bills ... I did not know that until today...... but thanks God everything went well

Personally i think, when u she said 'this is all?'

that is call for second interview, something similar in my case.

all i had was a Joint bank account, 40 pics, and 5 affidavits
