    The dates are always like 1,8,15,22

    Since person with 11 feb dint receive i/l its gonna move till 8 feb..so please stop arguing over this thing

    What is the use of arguing over date.

    Why can't everyone sit tight for few days. We all have been waiting for 10-12-14 years.

    Is it going to make any difference if we argue over dates, who is right and who is wrong.

    NVC is going to publish date in few days anyway.

    HI All,

    I have a quick question for all, if anyone can shed some light.. My mom files 3 cases under F4 and all the cases are complete waiting for visa #'s. The priority date is Feb 22, 2002.. it is really close and hoping it will be up soon.. My question is that do i need to redo all the DS260 forms and the documents again since my mom is the benificary and filing for her brothers and sisters in india.. i would think since all the cases are complete that it would be all good and nothing is needed until the visa #'s are avaliable.

    Can someone please shed some light this way i can take proper action if needed.

    IF your case is complete you don't have to do anything. you should just get Interview letter.

    I had F4 for my sister with pd 3rd Jan2002 and I didn't have to do any ds260 work. they just send us IL.

    on complete different note. When I file for my sister they send me cancellation notice like after six year due to they requested some paper and I didn't provide.

    I immediately send them letter and call and explain that I had never got their notice. I wrote on paper why should I not send if I have paper in hand and got the notice.

    I also send them requested paper. By god grace someone over there put the file back in line with same Date.

    Thanks to all , but which visa should I get for her? I know I dont need a visa being an Indian citizen and US green card holder but she does need one.

    a) Would it be tourist visa ?

    b) Where should i apply ? I found three websites :

    Depending on which state you live you have to apply accordingly

    for example texas we have office in houston and all they do is to outsource to company like CKGS.

    trivisa was old oursource company.

    that means you first located your indian embassy and connect to visa page from there.

    Definitely, a lot of people want to pay double if they can process all the case faster. When they say, 3 months, it took 6 months. They lost a lot documents when I read on the forum. Money is not the issue, I guess. Other, countries process faster and charge less. I guess our immigration is just busy with all illegal immigrants from TX.

    And imagine what will happen when Obama will sign some kind of law to allow that multi million people to legalize. All immigration officer will be busy with that and legal people will have to wait.

    Now a days it is more convenient to become illegal :(

    Thank u so much for your prompt reply. I went through the link you gave me about PIO. It says :

    "

    1. Any person of Indian origin who holds a passport of Any other country (with certain exceptions) can apply for a PIO card if they fulfil the following condition.
    2. Have held an Indian passport at any time

    Well I am still an indian citizen. I hold an Indian passport and US permanent grenn card. If I am right neither me nor my wife ( US Citizen ) can get PIO ....any insight on the visa part ?

    Visa is pretty easy to get except you just have to face very very rude guys/girls at Indian embassy

    do google search on indian consulate usa. go to appropriate site. go to visa section and fill out all required form.

    there are few consulate, houston, chicago, ny, ca, atlanta etc...

    Make sure you are on correct place.

    I have called about month ago and confirm that case is complete.

    Last night received one more check list notice from NVC and it just says this

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR: xxxxxx

    ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________
    The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be
    contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for further processing.

    Why do they send this? ghrrrr.

    on top of the paper it says

    "We reviewed the documents you submitted to us. This letter has a list of documents that are missing or
    that need additional information. Please review the instructions and send us the required information. If
    you do not provide this information, it will delay your immigrant visa interview."

    Man I do have to call now to confirm about this paper.

    does anyone know what this is?

    The checklist what i have got says that I need to submit civil documents. And for list of civil document they have specified the like to their website which has a generic list of documents. So , according to that link we need to submit pcc and also the passport size photos.This is the link http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

    you I though you got the mail from NVC. If you are referring that then good luck getting PCC.

    If you get it send it if don't get it don't worry send rest of the document.

    if you wait for PCC you are wasting your one month.

    Well i still think they might reject PCC application and ask for a letter(call center guy's mistake.)

    Please tell did you send the civil certificates without PCC?

    I have a following list of civil certificates that i will be sending. Please correct if i am missing anything.

    -Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

    -Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

    -Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

    -Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

    -Original police certificate(s)

    YES I didn't send PCC

    But if they ask for PCC send it. they didn't ask me to send PCC at first.

    Yesterday i called call center for PSK regarding PCC. The guy mentioned there is no such need for any letter from NVC(for PSK Vadodara).

    I have booked an appointment for next Monday. I will get to know the final thing at that time.

    How do you know that such paper from NVC is required? Is it true?

    Well you know how fast they changes the rule. But in early July when we went to same office they said they need a letter.

    Once we got the letter in around end of July they issue certificate. they did it in around three week.

    Thanks for the advice dude , No as such there is no problem in applying and getting PCC w/o interview letter but my fear is that if by bad luck we are not current even after 12 months of PCC then we have apply fresh..

    In my view everyone should send only what is requested because they are like us paper pusher.

    They have so many cases to check. They check our paper against request notice that they send us. Any more paper and it will throw them off.

    They will be wondering why the hell this one extra paper and they have to check pervious requests to make sure they were missing or not.

    Then if not they will be like hmmm more case like them and make some one mad because they have to do this day in day out.

    For example they send email to us for PCC. we started that process right away and next week I got notice saying case is complete and we will now wait for interview call.

    We called them and they said DO NOT send pcc even if you get the notice because case is complete and it will be in line to send to abroad embassy. Mean time my brother mail me PCC. Now I am sending that back to India.

    So what should I do send PCC along with all the documents to NVC or PCC at the time of interview??

    No PCC. You can get PCC when they will send interview letter.

    I have called NVC and confirm about it. They knows that in India (gujarat) they do not issue PCC unless until they have a paper from NVC.

    you can take original PCC at time of interview
