The law allows them to adjust, so you are pontificating about a non issue.

defweezard reacted to Lilay in WE THANK GOD THAT OUR VOICE HAS BEEN HEARD FOR THE TEXAS CENTER!!!!!!!
I don't wish longer wait for CSC people, I wish fair and reasonable waiting for both service centers as I wrote. I wouldn't want TSC to approve in a month and CSC to take 6-7 months like TSC is now. I just think it's unfair for us to wait more than 6 months while CSC approves in a month or two. I didn't mean to offend anyone. But it makes me feel bad when I see a recent CSC filer complaining that it will take longer for them, even though they've only been waiting for a month or two.
I wish everyone to be with their loved ones. But I think we should not be selfish and wish equality for everyone.

The focus is on this years elections, sadly sacrifices will be needed.
As they were 2 years ago.
Elections have consequences.

defweezard reacted to Boiler in DACA to cause further TSC delays?????
It was a limited form of amnesty designed to garner votes for Democrats, at the expense of those going through the process legally.

I got my NOA 1 April 1st and if you want an honest answer they are slower than death. Almost nothing you can do to speed up the process. I've tried everything. I called my senator and a woman in the office took my case and has called USCIS twice. She's very helpful but said that nothing can be done until its past the estimated wait time so I'll see then how helpful she really is. It's very frustrating I know, especially when you see California working so much quicker. Even more frustrating when you see The U.S are letting tons of illegal immigrants in and making the ones who are doing the right thing wait for 9 months. Good luck!!

Yes, to the benefit of illegals.

defweezard reacted to benjicher in Not Good news "Glitch crashes global US passport, Visa operations"
I did it. Hired a bunch of hackers to take it down. The good news is that when they get it up and running, you'll all have interviews within 4 weeks.
Kidding.
But, I keep wondering when we're going to get pissed off enough to take real action. I got back to the US yesterday and my Senators and Rep will be hearing from me every day until something changes at State and HS.
Please, stop taking it in stride when they tell you oh, well there are delays, you have to wait, etc. The administration is 100% responsible for the delays that are happening. People are in the streets to protest for the rights of non-USCs (not debating that here)--where are the Americans protesting because US families are being pushed behind non-USCs?
It is time to get pissed off and in the streets.

I know... I'm an April filer but I'd rather see January /February approvals rather than April or May from TSC. It's so unfair.
But anyway, Congrats!!!

I'm an early March Filer.. I feel happy for those poeple that got approvals ( no offense) but for me this is so unfair there is a lot of poeple before of me waiting and in this site I just see approvals from Filipinos and a couple of other countries.. what about US??? How long time WE have to wait?? c'mon ... :ranting: :ranting:

defweezard reacted to Julie+Matt in 10 months and still nothing
Agreed. Especially after seeing the sarcastic thread about tsc filers being so happy about getting their noa2s & their posts being all over the forum (when it's actually the CSC filers & they know it). Yes, being separated sucks but knowing when stuff will happen would make this process so much easier & I'm sick of seeing the ones who got approved quickly acting like they understand what it's like to be left in the dark, mentioning "we have our interview next month & are veteran filers" when it's only been a few months...ugh. I'm cranky & miss my fiancé & want to know when the approval will happen...or at least an idea. But as of now it seems like it'll be 7-8 months based on where they are & that's just not fair...

defweezard reacted to Lenny&Sanna in 10 months and still nothing
Why do you continue posting this to people? I mean you were approved in less than 2 months, how could you really know how it feels to wait this long?
-
defweezard reacted to Wait4ever? in Change of Center
You really need to stop giving people false hope. Read OP message - their case is in TEXAS Service Center, not CALIFORNIA. They should not be looking at your timeline, because it's not applicable to them!!!!! Current process time for TSC is 6-8 months.

defweezard reacted to techmedic in Current Processing Date at TSC as of 7/8/14
I was at CSC, I had got my Congressman involved VERY early, like within 2 months.... They did ride them and set m all communications they had with them... I think it did help.
We have our interview now Aug. 4th... I feel all of your pain and it is not nice.... Sad thing is us doing it the legal way have to wait, but do it illegal and you will have everyone fighting to keep them here.

I agree with him too.....good for you for composing that letter and trying to take action. There is no line that you are jumping, nobody you're putting out by being proactive. We all care about our petition the most, and that's the way it should be. You worried about your situation and got proactive, I applaud you and thank you for your sample letter that you shared. People can simply take this and make some small edits to make it fit thier particular situation and hopefully have the same outcome.....I know I will. Thanks again!!!!

Well Said. *cheer *clap *applaud etc etc. My opinion- if ppl want to be sheep, fine and dandy. If ppl want to make a statement, make a statement. But as a sheep, don't get pissy when the louder ones get nearer to their goals.
(I was the one who got a 3 month approval from contacting my Senator; although now bc TSC are idiots, they only just mailed the approved application out last week to NVC.) And, wait for it, I told my Senator about that too.

defweezard reacted to Texasav8r in February 2014 TSC Filers
I generally agree with what you have to say on this forum but I must take exception with this last statement.
Maybe we should in more cases down here but it just ain't our way or Boston harbor would not have smelled like Earl Grey some 241 years ago and we would be drinking that ####### at 16.00 every day. (No offense to my Brit friends out there)
My point is this....why should anyone chill? Why can't they complain and why should they wait until 5 months to begin complaining?
EVERYONE fills out the same exact paperwork
EVERYONE pays the same exact fee.
EVERYONE mails their package to the same address
YET, (This is Jan - Mar 2014 data)
47% of the people receive petition approvals in 9 - 38% of the stated 5 month time frame. (CSC)
AND
53% of the people receive petition approval in 97 - 114% of the stated 5 month time frame. (TSC)
Of the ~12,240 pending petitions nationwide:
67% of those are sitting at TSC
and
33% are sitting at CSC
WHILE,
TSC only received 53% of the total during that period.
AND
TSC only approved 42% of the total number approved in that same period.
So, with that said, I say they have EVERY right to complain and not just chill out. As a matter of fact, they have every right to be screaming mad and yelling at the top of their lungs to whoever will listen. Many use this forum as a sounding board to vent and that is pretty much all they are doing...including myself.
Does complaining really make a difference?...probably not...but it may make them feel better and in some cases, it actually works. I refer you to the person who got a NOA2 after 3 months due to Congressional participation. A lot of people complained about that...I say, more power to you. He/She yelled and someone listened. They did not want to wait for 5 - 8 months...they wanted a faster approval like the 47%...why not?
Another thing...perhaps it is easier to chill when you (anyone) are only a 2 - 5 hour flight away and can easily visit each other often. When you get to see your other half every 8 - 15 months and have to spend 20+ hours on 3 planes (both ways) to do it...we may want to yell a little louder and sooner than others. Just like it is easy for someone to preach patience and tell us how they understand and relate to the wait after they just received a 13 day NOA2 (NO THEY DON'T...gawd that drives me nuts). Again, why not?
Is 5 months out of our life (actually 7 - 9 with NVC & visa) going to make a hill of beans after all is said and done? Maybe not, but I would rather have her in my arms in 3 rather than 9 any day...that's 6 months gone that you never get back and life is too precious to simply write off like a tax loss.
Bottom line, if you are past 60 days...you can yell in my book. I have yet to see (with rare exceptions) anyone at CSC go beyond 60 days to NOA2. Hell, several have Visa in hand by that time.
Last thing (and I can't believe I went on this long)...I personally don't care how fast TSC was 1 or 2 years ago and how the delays shift from one center to another. I deal with the here and now and what affects me....CSC should (and were) have been complaining a year ago...now it's our turn
Ok, really last time....if people screw up and cause their own delays, it's on them and they really can't complain. Looking at the numbers above with everyone starting on a level playing field, nah, it is definitely ok for the unfortunate half to complain, but, it would help to complain to the right people of course.

defweezard reacted to DELETED999 in February 2014 TSC Filers
How about picking a target number that is more in tune with how many applications are out there in total? I think you only need 200 signatures before USCIS considered it has enough weigh to publish publically.
Even at 15,000 which is number you came up with, 136 doesn't even cover even 10%. You can dice and cut it any way you want, but it's obvious to me that people like to complain more than do anything to fix things.
And I have to disagree with you, petitions are not a waste of time as long as people support it and are adament about it. That's how some laws gets changed, and I don't see how this is a waste of time. Whining to people who are in same or worse situation than you endlessly here is a waste of time in my book.
Thanks hakobrena for trying to do something for everyone despite the poor response. Now I see why there are only 136 signatures.

Interesting analogy but the people answering questions on the phone and responding to congressional inquiries are not the same ones processing the applications. If one is pulled, it would probably be by the T2 or other rep that goes to the desk of the adjudicator and grabs it from under the 8 foot stack personally after checking who has it in the computer. Not much of a delay really...and that is assuming they are even at their desk in the first place.
