Asset are counted differently when you are trying to meet the poverty guideline with asset. You are going to calculate the total assets and divide by 3 to meet the poverty guideline for a United state citizen. If you are a green card holder then it should be divided by 5

He will need to give you his recent federal tax return to be photocopy and sent along with the I-864. If you are only submitting i-485 then yes it will be $1070. If you are submitting I-485 and I-130 concurrently then it will be $1490. I-765 and I-131 are free if you are submitting AOS!!!

Her husband can't get a driver license because his I-94 expired which means he is here illegal. Since he has applied for AOS and EAD, he is now allow to stay until his case finalized. He will need to wait and get his EAD and then he can get SSN and apply for driver license. I am sorry that your has to go through this but there is nothing he do but wait.

My wife w-2 show that she makes above the poverty guideline. I submitted my I-864 with recent tax return and w-2. I also, included letter from her employer to her last year indicating wages increase. I never included letter from employer stating current employment and never included recent pay stubs as well. Now, she has left the job and trying to find another one soon because of her boss. My question is, is there a possibility that I will get an RFE even though her w-2 show sufficient income? If I get an RFE how can I respond to it? Should I start looking for a possible joint sponsor just in case things go the other way?

Technically it's not required. W-2 and recent tax return documents should be enough to proof your income. If they need additional proof they will request it. You can only prove income if you believe by submitting those document will help you maintain sufficient income. Such such documents include child support, alimony, letter from employer and pay stubs

Yeah that was really fast. I am waiting to get biometric appointment letter hopefully this week. I am keeping my fingers cross and praying that God put all in place!!!
