  1. I just checked my 2GO status and it says this:

    5/22/2014 9:10:35 AM IN-TRANSIT 5/22/2014 3:33:34 PM ACCEPTED SHIPMENT FROM CUSTOMER 5/22/2014 5:12:36 PM IN-TRANSIT

When do you think my visa will be available for pick-up (SM Manila)?

  2. Manila embassy says this: Please note that aside from the immigrant visa application fees, applicants are required to pay the immigrant visa surcharge.... What is this immigrant visa surcharge and how do I pay for it??

  3. Congrats! If your case is complete as you say, you should ask dwheels/saylin to add you on the spreadsheet so you can see estimates. Click here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtbvTEwLyHz1dEhlZjdKczRMRmJrSnc5MTk1SkVrYVE&usp=sharing#gid=0

No one can tell you when your interview will be. But looking at recent timelines will give you an idea. God bless!

Greenbaum..thanks for the infos. how will i know if my file was sent in manila? or how many days to wait. bec they didnt inform me via email. my case completed april 9 at nvc.

  4. Not sure why you're asking, when all the answers to your questions are in the email you quoted. Not trying to be a jerk, but it's all there in plain English.

Yeah I have the tendency to over-verify.. Just don't want to do the best in every situation.. I was a bit offended haha.. but thanks for replying anyway..

Click on the Case complete to Interview form link in my signature and fill out so you can be added to the spreadsheet.

Come join the May interview thread. Thats all that you can do but wait now.

Thanks dwheels76 :) You are very nice.. :)

  5. We received this email from NVC today (April 11, 2014):

We have finished reviewing your case. We will tell you when we set an interview date for your case. Please do not contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MANILA, PHILIPPINES about your interview until we give you the date.

We saw that either your Affidavit of Support was incomplete, some of your supporting documents were missing, or both. We have marked the missing items on the checklist below.

You should send any of the missing items to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx so he or she can take them to the visa interview. The Consular Officer will review the missing items at the time of the interview.

Does this mean our CASE is COMPLETE? What are we to do next? Will I get an interview this May? Thanks!

  8. You might. Our 864 was returned because we didnt put NA in fields that were questionable but didnt apply. Depends on whether what else you left blank. SS# shouldnt stop it because thats kind of a given and most electronic forms wont let you put anything else in that field. What else did he leave blank?

    He left the following blank:

1, Alien Registration Number (if any) - because I don't have any

    2. Place of Residence (if different from mailing address) - because it's the same

    3. Information on prepared, if prepared by a preparer - because he himself prepared it (nobody else)

I think it requires COMMON SENSE for them since these fields have the IF ANY phrase there..
