Am I all set for my flight this Saturday? I already have the following:

1. passport

2. visa

3. cfo sticker

4. ticket

I just got my visa.. and reviewed for mistakes.. I noticed that under IV CASE NUMBER is my NVC CASE NUMBER plus 2 more digits. Is this a mistake or just normal?? Please help! My flight is 2 days from now.

Is it okay to pay $165 Immigrant Fee AFTER departure in US? Will the late payment affect my SSN application, insurance application, application for job and other transactions once I am there?

I just checked my 2GO status and it says this:

I work for the government and I will be a CR-1 Visa holder once my visa is approved. Will I need to get an employment clearance (stating that I am already cleared from obligations related to my work) to go through immigration?

We got a checklist for AOS saying SIGNATURE ON FORM MUST BE ORIGINAL (My husband sent the photocopy). So, can we just submit the original form instead of filling out another I-864EZ form again (even if the date will be the same as the one previously submitted)???

To those who are curious, NO I didn't get my case expedited even if I was technically affected by Typhoon Haiyan..

No one can tell you when your interview will be. But looking at recent timelines will give you an idea. God bless!

Greenbaum..thanks for the infos. how will i know if my file was sent in manila? or how many days to wait. bec they didnt inform me via email. my case completed april 9 at nvc.

How long does it usually take for US Visa to be delivered from the interview day?

Not sure why you're asking, when all the answers to your questions are in the email you quoted. Not trying to be a jerk, but it's all there in plain English.

Yes, that means your case is complete. I received the same thing for my mom's case and few days later they emailed me the official case complete letter. Then about a week later they emailed us the interview letter.

Once we get email from NVC saying that case is complete, will the email indicate the interview schedule?

You might. Our 864 was returned because we didnt put NA in fields that were questionable but didnt apply. Depends on whether what else you left blank. SS# shouldnt stop it because thats kind of a given and most electronic forms wont let you put anything else in that field. What else did he leave blank?

He left the following blank:

1, Alien Registration Number (if any) - because I don't have any

2. Place of Residence (if different from mailing address) - because it's the same

3. Information on prepared, if prepared by a preparer - because he himself prepared it (nobody else)

I think it requires COMMON SENSE for them since these fields have the IF ANY phrase there..

My husband, the petitioner left some fields blank on his AOS like Social Security Number for me (because I, the applicant don't have any yet).. Will we get an RFE for leaving it blank? Thanks!
