  1. Hello January and February filers! I am sure that there are still people waiting from Novemeber and December, etc.. but I see many members received NOA2 who filed in January. Hopefully, things are moving at TSC and we will be approved soon :clock:TSC is soooo slooooowww :crying: I am losing my hair from the stress and my life is on hold while waiting. I am sure many people can relate to that. Good luck to everyone!

  2. When I sent my application I was reading threads about Vermont being so backlogged that they transferred a lot of files to TSC, once transferred they were approved quickly. You really have to call and speak to someone who will be able to give you some answers and make sure it was not lost. 10 months is a really long time and you were patient all this time. Keep calling until you get some answers and hopefully Congressman will assist you as well. Good Luck!

  3. I have been following California's service center timelines for a while and indeed they are being approved really fast, even 2-3 weeks at times, which makes me sick to my stomach. I am very happy for people who got approved so quickly, but it just frustrates me even more about inconsistencies between two centers. I am sure everyone's life is on hold and they cannot plan anything. Yes, our times will have to come eventually, but it is just so unfair that they make us wait this long and ruin many things. I don't think there is much we can do as bureaucracy usually wins and we only get aggravated even more

  4. Many times platonic frendships evolve into a romantic relationship. Feels like more is going on. For me it is a big red flag as he is hanging out with another woman. He is too negative and is probably looking for an excuse to separate. Trust your gut instict. I had couple friends in similiar situation and did not end well. I really hope things turn out for the best, but just wanted to tell you trust your insticts. Good Luck.

  5. As in Harpa's comment, there is not much you can do, but wait and hope for the best. You still have a chance as they put you in administrative processing and did not reject you on the spot, which happens. I am also much older than my finace, but I travel to see him every few months. It does put a big burden on me financially, but it is so hard not to see each other. In your case you did not see your wife for over 2 years, which could be another red flag. Hopefully, they approve you. Just be patient and hope for the best. Good Luck!

  6. Thanks Sekhvaruli. Since my fiance is from Iran, he must specifically travel to embassy (in UAE, Turkey or Armenia only) for medical and interview at the same time. I have been reading that panel physicians are forcing these vaccinations and would not issue medical without it (one example from Ankara, Turkey), someone was told to come back for a 2nd shot of Hep A&B the following month as it is 3 month series and they could not go for interview in which case my fiance cannot do since will be traveling from Iran. That is why I worry so much. I hope it was just once instance with doctor who wanted to make money. I also read they are forcing other vaccines (MMR, etc), but I will try to have him take in his country, but Hep A and B is very expensive. I just don't want to end up paying for these vaccines if he could get them cheaper in his own country.

As to your question, I think all vaccinations needed are listed on here http://www.cdc.gov/i...tions.html#tbl1 listed in one of the comments.

  7. I have same question as well and have been reading that everyone is getting them. When I look at the website ( http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html#5 ) , it says: "K visa applicants are encouraged to get the vaccinations required under U.S. immigration law for immigrant visa applicants. Although such vaccinations are not required for K visa issuance, they will be required when adjusting status to that of legal permanent resident following your marriage. Applicants are therefore encouraged to fulfill these vaccination requirements at the time of the medical examination."

....so technically it is not required. I do not want my fiance to go through vaccinations if there is possibility he will not get visa as he is coming from a high fraud country :( I also don't want him to be rejected at the embassy because of that. I am still waiting for NOA2, but I would love this question to be answered as well.

  8. I am also a January filer. I called TSC once and gave up on calling again as they will not give you straight answers and lie through their teeth. Unfortunately, we just need to be patient. It's just so sad for us that California center processes 1-4 weeks. I am so frustrated and this is only the 1st step :(

As far to your question, I read that they ask to put service request a month after 5 month waiting period, so 6 months after NOA1. That is crazy, ahhhhh
