Thanks Harpa for clariifying this for those who do not read carefully. As I mentioned another embassy approved transfer, they just cannot do it because Abu Dhabi is not posting in the system for a long time now and I have no way of reaching anyone to check on why and other people files are posted in timely matter except for mine. I am worry my file was misplaced.

I am seriously panicking at this time. I am trying to change embassy location and one embassy tells me they cannot do it until the other one posts it in their system. The emabssy in Abu Dhabi received my file electronically on 08/12 and NVC put trace on the physical file and confirmed it was received at the embassy on 19th. As of today's date they still did not post it, so the transfer cannot be even requested at this time and its been 2 weeks

I followed few timeslines from Abu Dhabi and some received packet 3 within few days also in August of this year, so seems mine is stuck somewhere. NVC claims it's out of their hands as embassy received it and I e-mailed embasy over a week ago and no answer (also they do not answer phone calls). I have so much anxietyregarding this. I have been reading some people conact DOS, but at which number and will they be helpful? Any suggestions or similiar experience. Thanks a bunch!

Keep redailing until goes through. It's normal to get a busy signal most of a time.

I am in the same situation and I am waiting 2 weeks since physical file arrived at the embassy. No way of reaching embassy by phone and no response to e-mails. Is there any way to contact someone in USA regarding this. NVC says they have no control, but what about if file was lost and embassy is unreachable. I have been checking timelines and people whos files arrived at the embassy already have their interviews schedules and packets 3 are being received within 4 days and here mine is not even posted Anyone has any suggestions on what to do?

Ready in CEAC doesn't mean embassy received your actual paper file or they did not have a chance to enter it in the system yet. You can call NVC and they can check is actual paper file was received. My status is ready since August 19th, but actual file was received in Abu Dhabi on 21st, but they still did not enter it into the system and it's 9th day since paper file arrived there. I am worry myself, but I was told all I need to do it wait. Also no way to call them and e-mail replies take at least 10 days

He never showed you that he loved you! Only disrespect and lies. He was clear about his intentions from the start and showed it in every way with his behavior. You could of stopped him getting his green card before, so now I would just suggest to divorce as soon as possible and move on with your life and don't worry what he will do next and if he will be able to keep his GC. You should only think about your happiness now. You deserve to be with someone who loves you for you. As to reporting him, I am sure he will deny everything and say you are doing this to get back at him, etc. Good luck!

I received my NVC case number and immidiately showed up in the system, so maybe they made a mistake. I would suggest call again and confirm the number.

VCS was seriously overloaded and stopped accepting new ones, so everything is bein processed from east coast in TSC. Good Luck!

You should check your status online here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do You can also register here to be notified by SMS and E-mail. I originally filled out G1145 to be notified via e-mail, but it didn't work, so I registered online and got notifications via SMS and e-mail. You will be notified of NOA2 and any changes and hard copy will be mailed to Petitioner's home as well. Good Luck!

My case was just assigned at NVC 9 days after notification from TSC that my file was sent to NVC. I was told it can take 25 days to receive and 60 days to process, but it seems to be much quicker. Good Luck!

kayak.com is one of the best. Sign-up for ticket price alerts for specific dates and general. They will e-mail you everyday. Also keep checking everyday as prices tend to change unpredictably day to day. Summer is the most expensive and prices then to go down in September. Wait until he has visa in hand. Also he should check prices with local travel agency, sometimes they have different pricing than we can find in USA. Also remeber sometimes one was ticket is more expensive than round-trip. Play with dates, departures and returns, it all varies. Also try different connections for countries he does not need visa. Inbox me and I can help you when you know the dates

I got approved just under 6 months mark. This was the longest wait of my life, but looks I need to get prepared for much more. I called NVC and they told me good 2 months or more to get processed

Thanks AudreyND..I was told I need to file I-824 and that costs $405 and ofcourse additional time. TSC took a service request to change the consulate and told me that they can change it without a problem, but my bad luck, they mailed my application to NVC 5 days after E-mailing my case was approved. They sent it out so quickly and average tme is like 14-25 days. Once it's sent out NVC also told me they can't really help me and I need to fill out I-824 and have it done the same way you did

Hi. Thank you for this information. I received NOA and instructions say to fill out for I-824 and the fee is $405. Did you have to pay? This is a lot just to correct the embassy

My finace is from Iran and I had a choice to pick interview at 3 different locations. I picked Abu Dhabi, but I would like to change it to Yerevan, Armenia. I am still waiting for NOA2 at TSC. How do I go about changing it? Can I do it? Do I contact TSC or do I need to wait for NOA2 and contact NVC? I heard it's not so easy to get accomplished anything via phone. I also worry if NVC gets my case, there won't be time for any changes. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Just wait for RFE. TSC is working on December/January filers now. It might be more than a month, unfortunately

Why would you want to be with a person who deceived you? You don't speak to her everyday? You had to find out about it from a family and not her? So you have been waiting here for her and she is betraying you? Long distances are not easy, but when people love each other, they should not cheat and should respect each other and she wasn't even using protection. I understand that you love her, but in the future you might not trust her and she might do it again. I am so sorry for your pain, but in my opinion she is not worth fighting for. I hope you find peace soon.
