  1. Sorry got this off your embassy site:

"The medical results will be given to the visa applicant as soon as the results are ready. However, if there is any problem with your medical condition the results will be sent directly to the Consular Section."

    http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/iv-medical-exam.html

Yes, I just read that before I got your response. I'm really scared now. Wondering what it could be. How can the medical results or better yet what can be in the medical report that could negatively affect a visa, other than a serious infectious disease, which I know for sure he does not have?

  2. My fiance had his medical last week and went yesterday for the results. That asked him for a urine test and told him to call today to see if they are ready to be picked up.

When he called today. they told him that all the results would be sent to the embassy on Monday. His interview is Wednesday. :help:

Of course we are worried that something is wrong. Is this a rare thing that they don;t give you the results to you.

Just in case anyone is wondering, he does not use illegal drugs. I'm worried that there is a medical condition that he was not aware of. Could this be why they will not give him the results but are electing to send them straight to the embassy? Please Help! We are dying to know, Why? :help:

  3. Hey guys :)

I have the alien number and the I-94 number but I'm not sure what the visa number is and of course I don't want to put the wrong one

A quick answer would be awesome dice we are hoping to send the papers this week before Friday

    Thanks !

And I missed you all lol

So glad to hear that everything is working out well. :dancing:

  4. My fiance went to do his medical yesterday in the capital. He told me he got there at 6:30 and he waited in line for a while. when he got inside, he had to fill up a paper with my address.. and thank God he had it. A lot of people had to go home because they did not have that information.. so make sure you know it. They also ask for the Petitioners phone number(make sure to know this too). My fiance decided not to carry his cellphone with him, so he had to go outside and ask someone to let him call his mother so she can give him my number. Also know your SDO number. These are all very important. They asked him for 5 2x2 photos(not 6). What really surprised me is the price of the medical. Originially we thought it was going to be $190(without vaccines).. but they charged him $289 :ranting::ranting: and he is around 20-25 age range. He was planning to do the vaccines, but after this ridiculous price, he decidced not to. The vaccines are $45 each, and he needed 3 of them. They did a blood test, x-rays and physical exam.. and I think think that was it. He did tell me there was a lot of people, but he got out pretty quickly. He was there for about 4 hours in total.

They put like a sticker on his passport that says to pick up his exam next Thrusday.

I hope this is helpful to anyone.! :dancing:

That does not seem right, because according to the Embassy website, $289.00 is for exam and vaccines and if you get flu shot, it's $99.00 more. Are you sure he didn't get the vaccines? I'm just asking because my fiances went last Tuesday for his medical. He got vaccine and exam and paid $289.00.

He didn't take the flu shot because that would have been another additional $99.00. Your fiance may need to verify. He probably did get the vaccines. I'm not saying he is telling an untruth. I guess you will know for sure when he picks up the results on Thursday. Thanks for the information.

  5. Mr Tee always keep up with the most latest info on the DR and either post it here and.or of his wiki. Maybe he will chime in soon with a response.

Just for information purposes. Yenni had her interview on Nov 5th and she stated that DOMEX is still being used as the courier service, at this time, and the price is still $11.00.

But as I stated above, wait on Mr. Tee to confirm.

  6. I dont talk to nobady else on internet.

I belive in God and i belive be loyal to the person who you are.

    Infidelity isnt in my mind.

Belive me at this consulate they arent doint their jib that is.

Why first they said that my fiance had criminal records?

And when they saw his records they changed their story and say that i have tow arrest?

Simple, because they arent working right.

I have followed your story very closely and I totally agree that the Embassy in the DR needs to do some House Cleaning and get all those Fake, Irresponsible, lazy, inconsiderate people, out of that Embassy! Keep you head up my friend. Why does BAD things always happen to GOOD PEOPLE? Remember God sees all things and sooner or later, those who have falsified documents against you will get what they DESERVE ?
  7. That DR Embassy really scares me!!! They were at fault, but YOU and your man are the ones who have suffered from anxiety and stress for the last five months!

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. You are such a wonderful person, and always giving of your time to help others of us who need it. My prayers are so strong for you that soon, and I am convinced, that soon,YOU WILL BE VINDICATED!!!

    That is SO messed up!

  8. Good Morning DarkKiss,

I have an interview in DR on 12/15, so Ive been doing some homework. The case for DR is as follows:

Medical docs can not be older than 30 days, the suggested is 10-14 days prior to interview.

Yenni VJ member interviewing in DR just had hers done and best to go on Thursdays and Fridays as its not as crowded.

You get a sticker on your passport instructing to return in 3 days for pick up of medical docs. They no longer send to Embassy.

    You now need (6) photos.

Hope this helps, Good luck to you on your interview. Please post your visa receipt date as your interview is schedule after the change in courier service (no longer Domex).

    Thanks jtoro.

    Dominican Couple here!!

My Fiance then... now husband went 28 days in advance. They send the results back with the Beneficiary now and the rules and process have changed... verify if the changes apply to your case.

    http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/iv-medical-exam.html

    I hope this helps!!

    Thanks Enigma

  9. My fiance's interview is 11/19/2014. He wants to go 11/3/2014 to do his medical. They say 2 weeks B4 interview is when you do your medical exam. Will the few days early make a big difference or will he be turned away?

I know it sounds like a simple thing, but he has to travel almost 3 hours by bus , so it would be a big disappointment and waste of time and money if when he got there, he was told it was too early to get exam.

    Thanks in advance everyone.

  10. Hey all,

I emailed the embassy last friday asking if my fiance should pay the visa fee at the popular or at the embassy.. And they responded to me saying that I can pay the $265 at the day of the interview, which will be November 20th.

Even tho on my fiances packet 4 it stated that he should pay it at banco popular.

    Hope this helps anyone.

Were you able to know who they are using to replace DOMEX and if so what is the fee?
  11. Correct, the medical cost varies based on age and if it's flu season or not.

    Prices:

    http://www.consultoriosdevisa.com/requisitos-tarifas/

The Total Cost of the Visa is now $265.

The cost of Visa Delivery was $11us. But it may or may not be changing in November. We'll have to wait and see since they are changing courier services.

So thank you again. Now I understand the payment process.

    5) The Embassy will be allowing visa applicants the option of using a different Medical facility for the visa medical exam. The name of the medical office is

Servicios Médicos Consulares,www.serviciosmedicosconsulares.com, located in Santo Domingo, on Calle Bohechio # 17, Sector Bella Vista.

    Source:

    http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/iv-medical-exam.html

The website for the medical will not be up and running until Oct 28th.

This is great news. Thanks for staying on top of this for us. You are greatly appreciated.
  12. I don't have an exact date on when this started, but they're a number of changes in the Visa Interview Process.

    1) The Embassy is no longer using Banco Popular. The entire $265us must be paid at the Embassy on the day of your Cita/interview.

    2) The Embassy is no longer using DomEx for their visa courier service. They will be using a New "un-named" courier service starting in November.

    3) The Visa Medical Facility is now requiring (although it's not on their website) 5 passport pictures (2x2 size) for your medical exam instead of 3.

    4) I know recently people have been having a difficult time getting visa information from DOS/NVC for their upcoming interviews. On November 12, there will be a new number to call and website to check your visa status.

    829-956-5144 (Dominican Republic) or 703-988-3410 (U.S.). (both are toll-free)

If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks Mr. Tee for previous help but I have another question. We are trying to get all of the funds together for medical and visa fee and anything else we need to pay.

So the medical fee will vary depending on vaccines and flu shot correct? The Consular Website states for his age group, the Flu shot is $99.00. and the Medical Exam with the Vaccines is a separate $289.00. And in addition to this amount the Visa Fee is $265.00. Am I correct or am I missing something? Thanks so much.

  13. So you didn't receive the letter that says the docs you need to gather and that you have to complete the DS160?

Your fiance has to get the medical done, pay the fees, gather the docs, etc. Here is a link with the instructions. They are the same instructions you would receive in the mail. It's possible that your fiance may receive it, but the mail is not to be trusted in DR.

    http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2_instructions.html

There was only the blue sheet paper stating that he had been scheduled for an interview with the date and time and location. The letter alluded to attached documents with instructions for medical, but there were no other documents. Only the one sheet of paper.
  14. I'm the OP and today I received a letter here at my address in the U.S., from the Consulate in Santo Domingo . One page, typed on blue paper. It stated that my fiancée was scheduled for interview date time and location. Also stated that there were instructions about medical exam and other instructions.......but nothing was attached. Just one sheet of paper. I contacted my fiancé and asked if he had received anything there in the DR and he told me that he had not. I scanned the paper to him. What does this mean and why did he not receive anthing yet? His interview is on the 19th of November. Please respond anyone. Thanks

  15. Changes for residents visas come on january 1, 2015.

The information is on the wed.

Changes on november 12 are for turist visa, student visa and job visa.

Embassy continue using banco popular service.

The aplicant on november 12 need to fill out a form on the wedsite and create an profil after that will get a Page with information about how much to pay at banco popular, once paid at banco popular go again on the wedsite to get an appoinment.

Papers are going to be received before the cita at galeria 360 at santo domingo, in this place the applicant will gmake the fingersprint and take picture.

Then another day will have the cita.

consulate will has 12 mailbox in diferent city and people will get passport in one of this mailbox.

So for K-1 visa, my fiance still has to pay Banco Popular and then again at the embassy.Oh wow, I'm not keen on this paying part here, part there stuff. It's makes you have to keep many receipts, if we don't have enouch of those already. I wish they would come up with a One-Stop-Processing Center, where everything could be done a different stations, set up in the same location.. but wait, no, this is the government, that would be too easy.. Oh well. we'll just wait until it's time for our cita and hope things change for K-1 filers as well.
