If they are working on mine and my noa is 26/09 I think most sept filers in VSC will hear this month. I think I would have heard before the month is out if they hadn't buggered up my biometrics.
-
It's seems they are working on my case. I got a letter to go for biometrics again because they apparently didn't capture everything last year. Not worried, same thing happened with my initial visa and had to go back to London two days later. Got my visa that day and my physical GC a month after I arrived. I spoke to an agent, call center droid whatever and he couldn't tell me more than that. Blah, blah, blah!

Regarding drivers licences, NC gave me one for 2 yrs then only an additional year with the extension letter. A friend who came over the same time as me lives in Wisconsin and got a license until 2018 with his original GC. So yes, it's state to state.
-
It's more likely it has to do with the backlog and jam of 2014 when Dreamers were prioritsed and our cases were taking 14 months to process.
-
I'm planning to get my citizenship process started asap. I want my friend from the U.K. over here if at all possible. Looking at the timelines, from submitting the n-400 to oath takes about 6 months, some less, some more. If my application is received by the end of September, what do you guys think the chances of an end of April, beginning of May ceremony are? We can schedule the ceremony to suit, right? She has to book her vacation for that time by the end of this week is the thing.

Just heard from a VSC April filer that they got notification today of ROC. So hopefully September for us East coasters.

Just for those that were following the issue of traveling overseas with the extension letter:
We went on a cruise to the Caribbean, and upon boarding the ship the lady at check in hadn't encountered an extension letter before, so she took it to a supervisor for verification. There was a little wait, but no issue - She just told me to make sure that I carried the letter with me at all times (which I believe we are supposed to do anyway). Upon our return to the U.S. the officer looked at both my GC and the letter and let me right through - No issue at all
While I now feel that my anxiety regarding traveling was perhaps excessive, I think only those that are going through a visa process can really understand the stress that it places on a person. More so now than ever before.
I hope my positive experience puts anyone's mind at rest who may be concerned about traveling overseas during this period
Thanks for this. I'm going back to the UK in June for a week and am a little anxious even though I'll have every bit of evidence with me and triple check it every minute like when I had to go the US embassy for the interview

If processing looks like it's gonna go beyond September 2017, what is the next step when our green card 1-year extension letter runs out?
Good question. Anyone know? VSC is killing me. Even if we apply for citizenship in Sept and it runs concurrently with removing conditions, what happens when we hit the 3yr date? Another extension letter in oct/nov?

How is everyone doing? Sorry I've been awol. Been settling in and looking for jobs. Got interview on Monday
in case anyone is still waiting, I got my ssn 9 days after poe and GC after 22 days.

What a horrible response to an innocent and just question. Are you drunk or just rude?do you understand the timeticks required with ELIS to get a greencard, holding a CR-1 or IR-1 visa? yes? no?
I ask, because you posit'd 'Does anyone have any idea on when we'll get his Green Card?'
If you are visiting this web portal on a cell phone, tablet, I ask (no, seriously) that you turn it off, remove the battery,
and visit this topic again on a personal computer (Windows or MAC) and read all of the posts here in this topic.
Can you? Will You? Should You? (my answer is yes)
Handphones suck, for real answers for real problems.
On a pc, knowledge acquisition on this 'topic' can be had within 2 hours. I ask you, invite you, to use a PC, now, nowish.

Thank you, me too. I should probably put my experience up on the consulate review page in case it should happen to someone else in the future. I think I might have influenced him a little by saying I was worried about taking another day off work because that might influence my referencesI didn't actually realise right away they printed your visa for you there and then, I thought it was some kind of print out to confirm you were in AP. Then I read it a couple more times, saw about the "crown jewels" and put two and two together XD
That was actually pretty amazing of them to realise they had inconvenienced you and to go above and beyond to rectify it like that. A lot of the time when things like that happen, they tend to shrug their shoulders and go into pen-pusher mode, but I'm seriously impressed and so happy for you that it all turned out okay.
-
Thank youawwww isn't that sweet. WOW printed right there. Congratulations. That's like when I had to get emergency passport in Nigeria printed right there so cool. We love our embassy.
now I'm wondering if Teacup got credit for her rescheduling letter and austincanada got kudos for his hatha yoga half shoulder stand, do I get to go in the VJ record books for fastest AP ever? 10 minutes

Just to update you all. I had to go back to the London embassy today because they couldn't get my electronic signature on Monday because of a computer glitch. Wasn't happy at all. Got there early and thought they were not going to let me in. Cue tears, panic and calling the missus. But they did. Saw a different CO from Monday who took my prints again and apologised for the inconvenience. Told me they took them electronically to make sure I was a good guy and not a bad guy. I asked could I wait in the embassy until it showed AP and he said take a seat, we'll print it now and it'll be ready in 20 mins. I was in shock. When I was called back, the interviewing CO from Monday was there and told me she had asked if she could give it to me as I was so lovely and so happy when she told me I was approved that I made her day. I'm now in Oxford St. with the Crown Jewels in a Marks and Spencer carrier bag because it's too big to fit in my laptop bag and I'm terrified of bending it or leaving it somewhere. So happy right now I could cry. And it's the first time in my life I've ever been described as lovely
-
I don't know, this was just the downside of being first on a Monday morning with screwy computers. This is so unfair for you, especially with how far you live from London. I haven't seen anyone else on the UK forum or elsewhere mention this, though I haven't checked there for an hour-ish. It's bizarre - does this mean EVERYONE who interviewed on Monday has to return tomorrow?
-
I am so done with this process. I have to go back to London tomorrow to sign the ds230 because the computers were messed up Monday and they haven't got my fingerprints. Another £80 on rail fare and a work day lost....
-
Approved
That's weird, because I literally just left and mine already shows Administrative Processing o.o
Yeah, congrats
well either it's because their computers were screwy yesterday or they've forgotten about me :'( I really hope it's the former.
-
Thank you kind people for the congratulations. CEAC is still showing ready but I'm hoping that has more to do with the DoS computers playing up yesterday than anything else :/
-
I've put the review of my interview on my timeline but I'm not as tech savvy as that youngun Austin and for some reason I can't link to this page..... London specific though.
-
Woohooooo! I was thinking about you all last night. I'm so glad it went well
congratulations and I hope you get your passport and visa back in two days like everyone else
Thank you. I'm sitting in a bar in Euston now so I might do my review but just quickly, the three standard questions: when did you meet, how long you been married and have you met her family. Nothing else requested. X-ray back and told I didn't need to show it at poe. I'm confused about that, others have been told they have to. Let me know what they tell you. Good luck for tomorrow, it really is as easy as people say and not as nerve wracking as you think it will be x

Ok, thanks guys. Good to know I can take it though, even if it's just while I'm waiting outside. Yes, I'll probably be way to nervous once inside to do anything but what you all said.
-
I know you can now take phones in but what about iPods? I'm not so good at reading a book when I'm nervous, I need music and my phone is so #######, and needed for skype, that I take my iPod everywhere.
