Not sure where you are getting all this "negativity" from, no one here has been negative but yet informative. I sure as hell know I wasn't being rude to you but you sure were quick to jump my a$$. Get over it, so you wanted to inform us on something that happened a week ago. What answer did you want from us?? "OHHHH nooooo thats awful!!" There you got your damn answer. Now that my friend is an example of negativity!!

I think by the time you have received your NOA2 and hit the NVC/Visa stage it will be fixed by then. Your received you NOA1 May 1 and right now TSC is taking about 5 months so we are talking around October until you receive NOA2. Surely this will be fixed by the time you enter the next stage even if not they are still processing visa's just at a slower rate. There are a few that have had their interview around July 23 and they already have "issued" for their visa. So the delay isn't to bad.
Have y'all seen this? They tried to update their system & crashed it! Now nearly all visas are delayed including K-1. I think I'm going to scream. First the TSC-specific backlog. Now this. Along with the link to the actual site where they talk about it, I've attached two screenshots from a convo on the DoS FB page where it specifically discusses K-1s.

Try waiting 5 months for noa2, having 3 kids all crying to see their dad, then another month, oh and guess what? b/c of the glitch my fiance will miss his flight and have to reschedule leaving three kids in tears crying for dad, and yet my kids are younger than you and don't act as bratty as you!!! Put your big girl panties on and move on, go decorate your nursery or something. WE ALL have stories, so yes, you complaining about your "delay" does annoy some of us "butt hurt" TSC filers. Don't ask for advice and then be a big B to those that were actually being nice to you. SMH

I hope you guys don't have to reschedule but we will have to... sigh and pay fees. What sucks is we can't schedule a flight without knowing when this will be fixed.
Anita found this post on the DOS facebook page.
"As of July 27, the Department of State has made continued progress on restoring our system to full functionality. As we restore our ability to print visas, we are prioritizing immigrant cases, including adoptions visas. System engineers are performing maintenance to address the problems we encountered. As system performance improves, we will continue to process visas at U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide. We are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available."

Received this morning... It's been 7 weeks since my fiance's interview and now this..
"Dear Applicant,
The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our visa system which are affecting operations globally. We recognize that this may cause inconvenience to travelers, and apologize for the delay.
Although we have completed adjudication of your visa application, we are unable to take final action on the visa at this time. We hope to have our system fully operational again soon, but currently we do not have a timeline for when this may happen. If you have travel planned in the near future, we would suggest adjusting your travel arrangements accordingly.
Again, we recognize and regret the inconvenience this may cause. If you would like your passport returned to you (without the visa) please let us know and we will return it for later issuance.
We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter."
We also received this exact email today, I'm so upset, it is holding us up big time.

Well as if waiting 5 months just for our NOA2 wasn't enough, after my fiancé had his interview today and was approved they told him he probably wouldn't make his flight, bc they are having world wide printing issues. Sure enough this is the issue. Just lovely.

that made me LOL big time

Hmmm great now I am worried! I just got mine in the mail (NOA2) minutes ago and it says the exact same "the above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate, please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance" I thought it was being sent to the NVC?
-
Took me a week. then another week to hear the approval
Anyone know how long it takes to get RFE?
Letter in mail, was dated for June 10th -
I just received an email for my NOA2! yay I'm very happppyy.

I'm so annoyed they received my RFE response Monday and now its Friday and I still haven't heard anything, I really wonder how much freaking longer til they come to a decision.
-
I received my RFE in the mail Friday and mailed it off that night through overnight mail. Received an email today that they had received my response and that my case is still being processed. Please note that I am signed up for text notifications but only receive emails, doesn't bother me though bc I constantly check my email. I also got an RFE for a letter of intent, although I did send TWO intent letters originally when filed. Only thing I can think of is that one of them got lost over there. Well just wanted to update everyone, I am just grateful someone is working on my case.
-
We also got an RFE after waiting over 4 months too, we got the email notification on a Monday and received the letter on a Friday. Our RFE was for a letter of intent, although I did send two intents from me and my fiance, but whatever I sent another one. Hopefully we will hear something soon.

I hope your and all other filers that are pass their 5 month mark get their NOA2 soon, I can only imagine how hard it must be.
I talked to my fiance minutes ago. He called the USCIS today, and they are now working on December Filers.
I don't know if its a good idea.
But my fiance said, since our NOA1 is December3 it might be our time this week or this month. -
I think when you hit your 5 month mark you should contact your senator. You did your time, so you deserve to make some noise for not hearing anything for so long.
So next monday is my 5 Month mark. I'm trying to decide how to proceed. I may call the congressperson I contacted before via email, or call the USCIS and demand a service request, and try to get around the 30 day wait. I would wait patiently but I just find it so unfair that they publish 5 months when what they really mean is wait 6 before complaining, and that people who filed with the CSC have their loved ones already in the country.
Also on that note, congratulations to everyone who got their NOA2 recently!
-
You know what annoys me is when people who haven't nearly hit the 5 months are contacting their senator complaining about the difference between TX and Cali but yet sign a privacy form and give their receipt number. HELLO, when you do that they will look into YOUR case, I understand people hitting the 5 month mark or freaking close to it doing it but NOT people at 1-3 months that really annoys me. I read somewhere on a forum where someone contacted their senator and I think they were at the 2-3 mark and guess what that person got their NOA2 bc of the senator. That is cutting the line! Don't say your intentions are to complain about the difference but yet attach your receipt number and sign a privacy form! You can make complaints without putting your receipt number on there. I don't care who this pisses off, it's the truth!

No, you can not do an expedite from online, also make sure it meets one of the reasons to do a expedite, expediting requests is usually only when you can show that your fiance is experiencing tremendous hardships and they will request evidence to back it up. It's not an easy thing to get because if it was then everyone would get one so they could skip the line.
Hey guys, this might be a dumb question, but can you request the expedite online? or do I have to call them. I rather do it online as I can't make long phone calls from my office. Thanks

I hope that this is not the case as it's quite upsetting for me to read that and think that maybe someone is looking at our relationship and our genuine case with a real reason to expedite as some sort of fraud
You are going to be fine! The OP is used to seeing plenty of cases expedite or not. I would like to think that the expedites are not used as a "trap" or a way to question your relationship even more. Like you said the need for a surgery happened after you filed and you provided evidence, therefore I think you will be fine. Expedites are not offered to us as a way to target us. They are offered to help those with special cases.

That sucks to get an RFE but you can look on the bright side that someone finally run through your papers as my observation with the k1 timelines once you got your RFE received by USCIS then it means less than 2 weeks from NOA2 smooth sailing!!! And I hope that your family reunite soon
Yeah I was actually excited to receive it and now I can't stop thinking about what maybe I did wrong.
-
I feel for you jewels well this thing is not gonna be as bad as it is right now if we don't see the exorbitant discrepancy between the service centers, if we all waited the same amount of time, then we wouldn't complain at all. I feel sad to see that May filers from CSC gets their NOA2 between 2 weeks to a month, and at the same time if we feel like this, what more does the people waiting since November. We'll all feel like were back from the dead once we hear something from them, either RFE or NOA2.
They should hire more people for them to be efficient and effective!
I agree, I am a jan TSC filer and I just got an RFE, as though I am not please at all about the RFE because I sent tons of evidence and pretty sure I filled out everything I needed now I have to wait til the letter to even know what I did wrong. Whichever it is that I did do wrong, I plan on fixing it and sending it back the same day for overnight shipping. I am grateful though that someone is actually working on my case and hopefully after this is fixed I should be approved soon. I also find it depressing to go to a recent month and see Cali petitioners already getting their NOA2. I have three kids waiting for their dad to come home so this process has just been depressing and long. Good luck to everyone!
-
Yeah the difference between both is not right. It is annoying that now I have to wait up to a week to get this letter then overnight my fixed mistake, I'm hoping after it's fixed they will move quickly for my NOA2.
-
How did you find out, did the website update or did you get an email/text?
I am signed up for text and email notifications although, I only received the email. Not sure if they do both?
-
Welll I have good and bad news. The good news my file is actually in someones hands and not sitting somewhere in a corner, the bad news I got an RFE. I dont know how the hell that happened! I have done EVERYTHING word for word needed and provided SO many pictures, airline ticket, passport stamp photos and so on. So I am very eager to receive this letter so I know what I did wrong! I hear after the RFE info missing is fixed it moves quickly afterwards so hopefully that's true. I'll be eagerly waiting for my mail man every day.

Congrats on the recent NOA2 approvals! We finally got our visa issued and my fiance is picking it up tomorrow morning and then flying out! Good luck to everyone still waiting, I know it must be so hard.
