I have read very little about this ...
Yes, you are right...
I had my medical check a few days ago...
Thank you so much! You guys are awesome
-
I have a question regarding the medical exam: I remember reading somewhere on here (I've been trying to find it for about an hour haha!) that you should ask to have an additional form filled out that will be needed later on in the process (I believe it was for AOS). I don't think they will fill it out unless you ask for it. It may be a form regarding the vaccinations, I'm not sure though.
Does anyone know/remember which form that was?

CJBryan, we got our NOA2 on April 8th, and I called NVC today and got our number.
CEAC says it's "AT NVC," but the guy I talked to said it's in "administrative processing."
Is that normal? That worried me. Also, how do you find out WHEN NVC received it?
Yay!
They told us the date they received our case when we called. If you want to find that out on your own though, here's how to
:
LLLNNNNNNNNNN
three letters indicating the Embassy
four digit number indicating the year
three digit number indicating the day your case was received + 500 ( e.g. 599 = 500 + 99 (the 99th day of the year 2014 was April 9th) )
last three digits indicating the case that was processed that day (for this Embassy)
And here's how to track your case via DHL once the status says "in Transit":
go to dhl.com > Express > Tracking > Track by Shipper's Reference
There's four things to fill out:
Shipper's Reference: EXP NN LLL NNNNA (EXP in the beginning and A in the end always stay the same, two digits indicating the day, three letters indicating the month (e.g. APR for April) and four digits indicating the year your case was shipped) you might have to try out 2-3 days if you're not sure what day they shipped your case
Date range for shipment - From: should be the day before NN
Date range for shipment - To: should be the day after NN
Shipment Destination: beneficiary's country
I hope this will help everyone here
Congrats to everyone who got approved recently and good luck to anyone still waiting for NOA2, I'm sure it won't take much longer!
-
hi guys & gals, I just checked the status of our case in NVC and it says in transit! yayy... it says our interview date was provided to us by NVC, now i'm confused isn't it that we select our available interview date in the embassy/consulate website? please enlighten me. thanks.
Our case is in transit, too! We have the same message ('Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.'). I thought they wouldn't schedule an interview until we send Packet 3 back? I'm a little confused.
-
Congratulations to everyone who got approved recently
After being on hold for almost 30 mins, we just got our NVC case number. They received our case yesterday! The online status says it's still at NVC.
-
Got our approval this evening. Wish it wasn't so scary for him.
Your positive vibes must be magical! Got out noa2 late last night.
:D
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you
So many approvals and happy couples these past few days, that's so awesome!
-
YAAAY! Congrats to everyone who got approved! I'm so happy for you guys
-
I loved reading everything you guys wrote! I feel the same exact way
We met at a high school lunch table when we were teenagers and we were lucky enough to spend the first 8 months of our relationship living in the same city
But we've been in this long distance relationship for sooo long now, I can't wait to finally just be together! I envy every couple that gets to spend time together on a daily basis

I don't think you're supposed to call them before the 5 month mark (NOA1 to NOA2) :/
I wouldn't rely on the estimated dates on here too much. Mine seemed to change all the time and I just stopped paying attention to it. I think they change so much because CSC seems to process february filers in such a random order it's hard to predict anything. I know that it's so frustrating to wait on something that you have no control over at this point
However, I wouldn't start worrying until about 2-3 months after NOA1.
I know you guys will get your approvals very soon! CSC was speeding through them last week, I'm sure it won't be long before you get yours
I really do hope to see you guys post about your NOA2s soon!

NOA2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! WOO HOO
My previous post, posted weird, but we got NOA2!!!!!!
YAAAY! I'm SO happy for you!

Just got packet 3 from the embassy in London! Immediately went online and filled out all the forms, be prepared for the lengthly online forms which are basically 10 pages of 'are you a human organ trafficker, are you a communist' and in depth history of yourself!
Which means all I have left is my medical in 2 weeks and then the interview which will be scheduled after they've received my results. Such excitement! It's so nice to see everyone's cases moving!
whohooo..mine did arrive too. also my medical is scheduled on 24th...crazy fast all of the sudden!! so happy
That is so exciting!
I'm just starting to get all the documents required for Packet 3
-
Hey guys!
We just got our approval too! (NOA1:Feb 10)
Fiancé got a text message and he checked online and saw this notice!

YAY!!!
Hope everyone gets their approvals soon!
~K
YAY! Congratulations
-
DId you see that someone who sent their petition in March already got NOA2? I really hopes this means all of our petitions are going to be adjudicated really soon!! I am fine with waiting, but seeing the progress is making me so anxious.
Yay, that is so exciting! I'm sure there will be lots of progress from now on
I'm so happy for you, sailor and tina!!! I got butterflies just thinking that February (and even march) are getting noa2s already!!!
Thank you! I'm sure that you won't have to wait much longer
Here we go afeb. Filers
Congrats Tina.
Thank you!

NOA1 was Feb. 26
Yaaaay, congrats!
-
NICE!!! congrats go out to you too.
yay tina..congrats and welcome to the club
Yay for another Feb filer with NOA2!!! Congrats Tina! Your NOA1 date is close to mine so maybe mine is sitting on a desk somewhere :-)
Thank you everyone and congratulations Tina!
Thank you everyone! I'm so excited about this!
msdynamite, I will definitely start following your progress since we'll be going through the same embassy
I'm sure that all of you will be getting approvals soon!

OMG OMG OMG!!!
I just got the following email a few minutes ago:
Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity
On March 31, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
How crazy is that?! We were just getting all excited about Sailor's approval!
This feels surreal! I'm so happy!

Thank you, I'm so happy! Did you receive anything else between the NOA1 and a letter from the DOS saying that your case has been from NVC? Immediately I assumed the worst and thought that this is all an April fools joke!
From what I can remember, we got out letter from NVC and our NOA2 almost the same day and it totally caught us by surprise. So what I would assume about your case is that CSC might have forwarded your case super quickly and NVC forwarded it to your embassy almost immediately. CSC might not have sent out your NOA2 right away and you will get your NOA2 sometime this week.
That would be a pretty mean April fools joke though! haha
I wouldn't worry about there being anything wrong with your case though if I were you
-
I don't know if it's someone up high teaching me a lesson for my last post, but my fiancé just arrived home to a letter from the department of state stating that NVC had received my case and was forwarding it to the American embassy in London! It's dated march 26th! I'm slightly confused though because it hasn't updated online (I thought the case status changes online?) and/or I didn't get any notification... It's like my case has skipped two steps ahead...
Hopefully this means that everyone else's cases are going to start moving!
Yay! I'm so so so happy for you! What an amazing unexpected surprise for the two of you
(We had the same thing happen to us the first time we filed in 2010, so I think they just forget to update the case status online every now and then
)
-
I mailed my I-129F on 3/3, it shows signed for on 3/5 and my payment has cleared. But despite filling out G-1125, I have not received any texts, emails, or regular mail / I-797C.
3 weeks seems like a long delay. Has anyone else had this kind of delay or should I be worried? I emailed lockboxsupport@dhs.gov but they don't seem to answer.
We just got our hard copy last thursday after almost 3 weeks (NOA1 on February 28th)
You might still get it sometime this week
-
Fingers crossed for everyone who filed in February! We received our NOA 1 on February 27th.
Welcome to our little February group
Good luck to you too!
There haven't been any updates on my file but I'm flying to London later tonight to stay with my fiancé for ten days! I am so excited and hoping this will make the time go quicker. I am terrified of flying, but I'm trying to stay positive! Hope we all get good news soon.
How exciting! Have a safe trip and enjoy your time there
I feel like there have been barely any approvals lately
Seems like they slowed down big time!
-
Thanks for this post! I had actually created an account there and thought I had email and text notifications, but upon logging in last night, I see that I was actually NOT signed up for this. I've since changed that. Sadly, my file hasn't had any activity since Feb 11th.
Honestly, if I just could know that his visa would be for sure done by, say, August, at least I could start making wedding plans. So frustrating!!
I'm glad I could help
Mine hasn't had any activity since our NOA1 on Feb 28th (I guess they don't change the A# if you've applied before)
We've decided to have a small wedding with just our parents once we get through this process and have our big wedding in Summer '15. We really want it to be perfect and have our families and friends there
I just feel like a big wedding would be too much of a hassle now for us and for our guests from Germany.
-
We're hoping for late September / early October
Once you've created an account to view your case status on the USCIS website all you have to do is click on ''My Portfolio' and the 'Last Updated' section would be where you find your 'touch date'How/where does one look for the part in that link that say the application has been "touched"??
I'm not sure if they do the touches (or update them online) as much as they used to though.
-
whooohooo..YES..me and my fiance just got the email that we are approved. I am so happy!!!!!!!
now its waiting for Pack 3 right?
can I do anything else? I know questions that have been asked a thoursand times before..sorry
Yay! Congrats! So happy for you
There's one thing I'm not really sure about when it comes to the embassy stage though: Do any of you guys know if you always get to pick your interview date online? I thought I saw something on here that said they'd send an interview date to you via mail?
German people...rührt euch!!

Es gibt wohl 2 Zahlungsoptionen, die keine Bearbeitungszeit haben und bei denen die receipt number sofort aktiv ist.
Auf der Seite steht zu denen jeweils folgendes:
Online Payment with an EC CardThe most convenient payment method for your nonimmigrant visa application (NIV) fee is online with an EC card.
You may pay your MRV Fee using your online bank account using the Sofort service (Direct Bank Transfer). This payment process can be administered online.
If you would like to check whether your bank participates in Sofort, please click here.
