  1. If you are Palestinian and live in the West Bank or Gaza, Jerusalem is the Only consulate you are allowed to use. Embassy in Tel Aviv is for Israelis. But the Israelis make it impossible to actually physically get to Jerusalem.

My husband took the interview paper with both of our names on it, gave it to the Israeli police and they said no, he can't go. They never give a reason. :(

I think you should give the department of state and both your senators a call. There has to be a work around for this.

  2. Hi everyone,

I checked my status online last week it showed we mail you a letter on Oct.30 about your address changed although i haven't changed my address and still waiting for that letter its more than 11 days now. what do you guys think about this? when i go to the website now i can't login it says there is an error please contact the customer service.

Call... I've seen lots of people say the same. USCIS updated the website last week.

  3. Thanks for the response I called uscis and they said it would not be an issue as long as we mention it when arriving at us customs and as long he returns within the allocated time period. So in case anyone else is curious about this topic.

USCIS does not issue the travel visa. This is done at the local embassy and will be up to them. I have not seen any travel visas issuesed to VJers from JA while going through this process...

  4. Had an interview for IR-1 VISA today at the embassy in Paris and it was approved!! :goofy:

I was worried a little bit as there were some people before us who were rejected.

The CO was a young lady and she asked only some questions like:

"When was the last time you were in the U.S.?"

"How long have you been married?"

"Have you always been living together after your marriage?"

"Why do you want to go to the U.S.?"

I prepared many photos and things to prove "domicile" but none of them were needed at the interview.

The only surprise was that a chronopost envelope that I purchased was not even needed. They changed the systems in October and I guess that is only for people who reside in Portugal.

At the end, she said "Felicitation (Congratulations)" and that was it. :dancing:

Finally our long journey is about to end. :)

    Congrats!!

Approved in Montreal today! Yay. For details, I posted in the reviews section. No problems encountered. Now let's hope they send back my passport as quickly as possible...

    Congratss!!

  5. I sure would not buy it unless you buy the ticket you can change with a fee. It risky. I remember someone on VJ I think it was for DR or something did it after much advice not to. Well the Visa machine broke down it was a 6 week delay and they had no fee to change they lost tickets and had to pay another $1000 or so for new ones.

Just wait until you have Visa in hand. Especially when dealing with high fraud difficult embassies and Jamaica is one of them/.

Thanks! I will wait... We only have one more month to go!!!

  6. question. my husband is in Jamaica as the beneficiary. i received the P4 email. are they going to ship him a copy to his PHYSICAL address provided? or does he have to print it out through email so he can take a copy for his medical exam?

He should get one in the mail too. If not I would have him pint it just in case. I would start to call to schedule his medical exam now. It took my husband two days to get through.

  7. mstee81, when you sent email directly to NSC did you reference any of your service request referral numbers?

We have made a few service requests over the phone but have not been provided with agent numbers or reference numbers with regards to our conversations with tier 2 officers.

I am wondering if names and dates are fine when logging the chronology of our case.

Any advice is appreciated. We want this done!!!

Yes, I provided the service request numbers in the email. I also listed the dates and times I called and spoke with CS.
