The social secuirty administration is where you change your name. They were correct in doing so. You will need to travel with a copy of your marriage certificate if you are questioned since you have not updated your passport. You should have applied for a new form of photo ID in your state after you received your new social security card.

How do u get the AOS and IV documents? can i do the same?
I used the wiki and followed the instructions. I have the I-184 and all the supplemental documents ready to mail soon as the AOS bill is paid. I'm only missing my husbands police certificate for the IV package.

After being on hold for almost one hour, a Tier 2 representative told me absolutely nothing new.
She said that Nebraska is still working on Dec 3; what a lie! She also said to wait
44 days (my PD is 17 Jan) since Nebraska is running behind and HOPEFULLY it is approved
by then..This process is so freaking frustrating!!!!!!!
I've accepted that they are behind and all I can do is wait. While I'm waiting I will have AOS and IV documents ready for the next step. This way I won't delay the process futher by having everything I need.
Happy waiting!

Seems as if I won't get a case number until mid july. I hope I can be in the U.S. by say September, October. So wanna go be with hubby. It is hard being pregnant and alone and feeling sick all the time.
Hi Ingrid,
I too was alone through out my pregnancy. Baby is two months old now. The process is taking a lot longer than I expected.

My parents did not attend my wedding because it was held out of the country. I don't think this will cause any issues. Take lots of pictures with your fiance and her friends and family.

So, I am going to call them either today or tomorrow. Do they have automatic operator or I can talk to someone directly?
Beside Case number, What else should I ask them about my wife's case?
Here are a few links to help you.

We just got our I-130 and I-129F approved yesterday! I'm surprisingly excited. The wait was getting so long that my disappointment was making me lose interest, but now it's full blown.
:D
But I should say, that I filed a service request a few weeks ago. Then yesterday, the I-129 had a strange case update that our mailing address had changed even though I never sent any notification of a move. o.O I think what happened was that when I sent in the service request, I used the US mailing address we'll be residing at since it's my parents place (I use it for bills and what not) When USCIS responded, they simply said my case was now with an officer and expect an answer within 60 days. There was a small apology for the delay, and then a comment that they noticed I used the US address instead of the foreign one, and that I should submit an address change request if I had moved. I ignored it then, but when I received the notice yesterday I tried calling them. Tier 1 was easy to get ahold of but, I had to wait for 2.5 hrs for tier 2, and then either my phone or the USCIS officer dropped the call before I could inquire about the address change.
My husband and I were really frustrated after that, but then now it's approved! Don't know if it was a glitch or what though. I did get to say a few words to the officer (who already had our case number and reason for calling), so msybe she made something happen? Hard to say.
So, hoping the address thing was only a glitch, and the case will proceed smoothly at NVC. If I remember correctly, is it so that the 129 and 130 are approved at conjointly, then the 129 gets dropped?
Congrats on your approval!!! It seems safe to say that they are stil working on November and December.

I did not receive anything yet from National Visa Center since June 12th (USCIS approval message and received the letter few days later). Should I call NVC soon or just wait a little more?
It's taking a few weeks for the NVC to assign a case number. I would call to ask if they have giving your case a number as of yet.
-
I have a question about the IV package. Will I send the package to the NVC here in the states or will my husband have to take the items to the embassy in Jamaica?
-
The person 2 numbers before me was approved today. I'm hoping that means we'll be approved today or tomorrow....but ultimately I realize that it means absolutely nothing.
How do you see the numbers and their approval status?

Has anyone been approved?

So we may be moving in 30 to 60 days should i still fill in the form with current address information or new address if i know where it may be?
Yes, you will file with your current address. Once you move you can call in and have them update the information with your new address. I had to do this back in February.

Being apart from our loved ones is stressful enough. This extra wait time for Nebraska is just wrong on so many levels.

Cogratulations!! Wishing you much happiness.
