Wow, just wow. I can't believe people who do this. I am sorry your husband is treating you this way, but I don't know why you think you have the right to move here with a spousal visa when the two of you know that you aren't going to be together anymore. That is the point of that visa. If you want to move to the U.S., then get a different kind of visa, one that fits your purpose of coming here...

Yet another story that makes me all mad ! do you have any idea how many real couples who lived together know each other very well spend years together would do just to be with their spousesa... then you come along saying yeah well my husband does not want me but yet i want to go get a GC or whatever it is you have just to get in the US ... why? i don't know nor do i care ,but just knowing someone wasted time with your paper work is making me boil right now!
Sorry for sounding all angry but its just how i feel.
Do not bother traveling to the US focus on getting a divorce and have a nice Life .

There is no right to immigration. Even with a visa or a GC, there is no right to enter the US. The only people guaranteed entry to the US are US Citizens.
The OP has no spouse to go live with, and she wants to use a spousal visa. Anyone encouraging her is encouraging illegal activity and fraud.

    1. She has a visa to come to the US for the purpose of being with her spouse. That is no longer her intention thus the visa is not being used for the purpose it was issued. Same if you come on a tourist visa and conduct business, that is not what the visa is for.
    2. No one should ever lie to immigration. That could result in an immediate life-time ban from coming to the US. Even if she made it into the US she could be later found out and deported.
    3. She doesn't have to sign anything for the divorce to be processed.
    4. He could very well have already informed immigration that they are no longer together and she could be turned around at the airport since her visa is no longer valid (no spouse, no valid spousal visa).
    5. Her visa is not for the purpose of her coming to the US to divorce. That can be done without her or with her in her country.

The purpose of the visa is for you to be with your husband. He can contact immigration and inform them you are no longer together and your visa will no longer be valid. If he sends proof that he has filed for divorce it will also make the visa invalid. Whether he has done this or not is unknown since you are no longer speaking to each other.
Trying to enter with a spousal visa when you are no longer with your spouse would be fraud. Also it is possible you will be turned around when you attempt to enter the US and returned on the next flight.

    Hi guys,
I had some free time today and decide to create a spreadsheet for us, so we can follow our approvals that are nearing to happen !
here is the link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArGj4MzWBVCjdHN3RG5SWHg3SHpKekdKdlJabXV4MEE&usp=sharing take a look please.
I also created a Registration Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/17av-prooHtK5C66qJ_rCE0U2RcBjZVyhnCVrxDeQIbo/viewform so if anyone doesn't see oneself there and want to be there just fill it in please and I will add this person to the spreadsheet.
I created it with information I found on your profiles, posts, timelines so PD of some of you is actually your noa1 date therefore I am very keenly to change it!
ow and I didn't add folks that are already approved - I hope you don't mind, just wasn't sure if I should or not.
OK, so I am open for any suggestions, opinions about colors etc. Later we can add NVC stage also and graphs.
I can add someone to be a moderator along with me - anyone willing to be ?
So what do You think ?

Maybe we could get a spreadsheet together for December filers? Does anyone have some mad Google spreadsheet skills? Would be great to see all our info lined up in pretty rows while we wait. It's something to do!

Technology is wonderful and not mysterious. It's actually not so difficult to keep it running for an educated and experienced professional from the private sector. The government is using our tax dollars to run that website and the downtime is perplexing. What's even more perplexing is how the general public accepts a government website to be down as just part of life, but goes crazy if their Internet supplier or cell phone goes down for more than ten seconds.
