  1. Congrats!!!! :)

    OK, folks. It's official!!!

CASE COMPLETE AS OF JUNE 4!!!

    :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

AND, I must have good luck - I never had to speak to either Joy or AH-thur!!!!

Jim was the bearer of good news. He didn't even ask me "What can I help you with this evening?". He cut right to the chase and told me the case was complete!

Then, when I gently pushed, he read me the standard line about interview scheduling and it depended on how busy the consulate was, blah, blah, blah. But he told me he loved being able to tell people good news!!!!

    Now....waiting on interview scheduling....

For those of you waiting - it does appear that an "N/A" under "Affidavit of Support Fees" is a positive indicator of case complete. My package explaining that the checklist item they wanted was 1) not required and 2) not available was scanned in on May 9th.

  2. So happy for all my L-girls out there - LoveMyTico, LucyBelle, and LifeOnHold!!! Congratulations!!! And all the others, too!!!!

I'm in Australia - so I cannot call until much later tonight (if I can stay awake that long!) - but I checked my CEAC page and both my AOS and Civil Documents say "N/A" at this point.

Now...my AOS has been complete for over a month now - it was the IV packet that was holding us up. So I don't know what to make of the N/As on our screen - but I will call as soon as they open (which will be 7 a.m. on Tuesday EDT US - and 9 p.m. Australian Eastern Time Tuesday night), and find out if we have good news too.

Praying that LindyStephan gets good news soon, too. Steve and I have been neck and neck since we got our Case Numbers....

    Sukie

Thanks Sukie, I hope you get your cc soon too!!! :) I have good news for us. I just woke up and checked the IV site and I noticed like the others the AOS fees is now N/A. Cannot wait to call and to find out. Keep you posted!!

    CASE COMPLETE !!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats to you!!!!! Finally!!!!!!

  3. So I think it is safe to say that when AOS changes from PAID to N/A that your case is complete because I just spoke to Ivette and she was like "We have reviewed your documents ma'am and everything is fine. Your case is COMPLETE!!!!!!!!"

And then I yelled, "FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!" ::insert dancing emojis with sunglasses which I have been saving for Case Complete and now can't use them because I am on a mobile device::

Thank you so much to all of you with your patience and well wishes. I will continue checking VJ and commenting to support the ones that have supported me.

Let the PARTY BEGIN!!!!!! Lovemytico.... CALL girlfriend!!!!!

    Congrats!!

  4. I get the same thing when I us the link... It takes me back every time

I sooooooooo want to call right now... I know for sure my AOS said Paid today... And I just happened to check again because it was posted here again... The N/A for the AOS instead of paid is not clickable either. I have to wait to call because if I don't get an update, I'll want to call later ....

Haha, you should.. just for the heck of it :P

Umm... Just checked CEAC portal and it now says my AOS fee is N/A which it didn't earlier today. Just said PAID. on hold now. Wonder if the rumor of it changing after CC is true.

    Hahaha! ;)

    Where?!?!?

When you logon (you notice that the login system has changed to start with) and then you get that table with information about the AOS and IV. I will create a screenshot if you cannot find it.

Now we are stalking the CEAC site for N/A changes.... We are so cool. ::insert rolling eyes emoji but I can't because my ipad doesn't show emojis::

Hahaha, I would just say desperate.. lol

  5. Our attorney is in New York City (I'm the New Yorker). She works for the #1 firm for helping same-sex couples immigrate. In fact, she actually wrote the manual and teaches other immigration attorneys about the AOS and IV submissions.

    Sukie

Maybe she can teach our lawyers a trick or two about checking documents...:rofl: Consider yourself lucky with her. Too many horror stories about people with lawyers.

  6. no, we did not, and i barely called them, so i think the more hands off approach might help them just get on with it, who knows.

Sorry :( i noticed quite of a few of you said the same thing and it made me feel bad a little.

Maybe it is because our was a checklist for a document not previously asked for- as in it was not a mistake on our part- they just wanted more info- and so it was very simple, also another reason we seemed to jump the line is maybe it makes a difference that we have a lawyer sending it all in with their coverletter etc.. not sure - seems there is little rhyme of reason.

Hi, No stress - my anger wasn't directed towards you or other people who are lucky :) I'm happy for you! Just angry on the system...

We have a lawyer too, but this lawyer didn't bother to check if all pages of the AOS forms were present.. So we had to send in a new version. That's why we are still waiting and I advise people not to take a lawyer - not worth the money.
