this is why calling everyday helps.... I got my CC on June 2nd... I called on the 3rd to check ... still CC. I called on the 4th in the morning.. they told me I did NOT have a CC... I immediately asked for a supervisor, she told me that she would look into this and get back to me... She did call me back 2 hours later and told me they promised to have this taken care of that evening.. and so I called later that night around 10pm and I had my CC baack !!! Then the supervisor called me the next day to confirm my CC. She was really helpful. If you would have called sooner you could have gotten a supervisor to check into it !!
You should expect a CC email tomorrow in the early morning EST
BOOM - CC email received like you said! You're good!!! ;-)
-
This is so bizarre - I wonder if anyone without a check list had a CC shift? I thought I was done calling for at least a few days!!
Agreed! However I did have a checklist.. I hope for you it stays this way

The sad part.. I did call them a few times.. Even last friday and nobody informed about the shifted CC date - sigh!
Why do you think that the CC email is coming tomorrow?
-
hmmmmm.... well, I don't think asking for a supervisor will help..although I would ask why its taking so long. Tell them you already gave them thier "30 days"
But wait.... you have CC you just don't have an interview??? right?????
Some people didn't get a CC letter... Ask them when you can expect an interview......
My case was complete on 06/05/2014 and I still have not gotten a CC email but from what I have seen not everyone gets them. If you have contacted NVC and your case is complete then I wouldn't worry too much about the actual email. As far as interview scheduling goes...I have been lucky enough to talk with the nice people at NVC and this is what was explained to me. Every day they make contact with the different embassies to check on available interview spots and they schedule from there. I would check a few times a week or daily until you get the date.
I found out why it's taking them forever.. They changed my case complete date to June 11

Last time I did ask and she replied that it can take as long as they need.. No indication or whatsoever.
That's why I'm contemplating to ask for a supervisor.

WOW.... GOOD VIBES !!!!! I hope you get some good news this morning.
Not soo sure about your good vibes
We still haven't received our case complete email

Do you reckon it will help to ask for a supervisor??

STEEEEVE, no interview yet??????
NO
I'm calling again now.. but no hopes.. I have no clue what's going on with our case.

Still not able to pull up any packages for Costa Rica since June 6th. NVC told me " it looks like" my package was sent on June 13th. I guess its another waiting game...
Husband is going for his medical today.
Good luck!
-
oh sorry I didn't notice this, hope you will get the interview soon!
No worries
Thanks!

Didn't receive mine yet (CC on June 4th) :-/
Yaaaaaay congraaaats!! Hope you will get your interview soon!
True, but you did receive an interview date
I hope so! I got plane tickets to purchase! Thank you!!
Thank you!!! I'm hoping for some interview activity this week
Thank you so much!!
We did it!! YAAAAAY!!!
Congrats!!

Steve, this seems really weird. Our Case Complete was June 4, and our letter came June 11. I'm really surprised you haven't gotten either your CC letter or your interview.
Time to call?
Sukie in Oz
Hey Sukie,
Yes, I already did twice, but no news and basically I'm told to wait.. They also deny to answer if you ask them for how long.
-
Hi Guys,
Just wondering.. Did someone of you had to wait two weeks or more for a case complete email? Our case has been completed since June 2, but not a word ever since.
Cheers

It's in English, just a really hard to read font.
If only it were that easy
Yes, indeed ;-)

I'm not trying to shut down anyone's venting. I would never do that and if that's how it's coming across, all apologies. I think the venting should (rightly) be directed at USCIS, not at the person who was fortunate enough to not experience the backlog.
I cannot agree more
Thank you for clarifying your thoughts
-
I'd take that position in a heartbeat! And I'd reform USCIS in a matter of days
Please
Makes sense LoveMyTico, totally understand your pain and feel for you. When most are seeing the light at the end of tunnel, you know you have an extra step to go. I'll be following you, praying for you and keeping fingers crossed that your husband can be with you by December. Power of positive thinking.
Fingers crossed LoveMyTico!!

You of all of us I don't expect to feel warm and fuzzy for one second, and I'm in no way suggesting that we should applaud USCIS for suddenly remembering how to do their job. An the way the treated everyone stuck in the backlog of 2013 is just disgusting. I'm still mad at USCIS and will be for a long time, but I'm actually happy to see it's moving faster, so others don't have to experience that kind of waiting game. But does that mean everyone who files has to be stuck there for 9-13 months? That's how it comes across sometimes (that's not directed at you or any one post in particular). This could just be me at the end of my rope being too emotional lol
Complaining about USCIS and reminding our elected officials they dropped a major ball? Yes yes yes!!
Don't get me started on NVC. They're on my list!!!
I respect your opinion and the positive part of me agrees with you. However we should also respect each others feelings.. The process is already hard enough and trying to shut down someone's venting is not really helping. I think this forum also serves the purpose to share some emotion and (negative) thoughts. (maybe it can save a few relationships in the end) ;-)
-
I'm thinking it's not the technology that's holding them back, but rather they only have so many employees to answer calls.
(I obviously understand they can hire more people to help the call load, but I don't think NVC sees this
)
I love the screenshot you provided
Looks like the petitioner is living abroad, and I don't know how frequent it is anymore, but there was a time when USCIS fast-tracked all cases (after DCF was abolished in most countries) with petitioners living abroad. Those cases would get reviewed in like one month time.
If you mean for I-130, I don't know. It was dumb luck, I guess. I sent the petition from abroad, where I've been living for nearly two years, and it was routed to the CSC. We are extremely grateful for it, as we were expecting 6-8 months for the I-130 approval. There were maybe 10 petitioners on this site who were auto-expedited in the month of April, for no reason that I can discern.
As for the embassy switch, I don't know. I wrote to the consular section of the US Embassy of Paris asking for permission to change the embassy. I had been told by the NVC that I would need this permission in order to later ask the NVC to make the switch. I didn't receive a reply from them, but now our case number has changed. I assume something happened behind the scenes. I won't question it!
They're now expediting (fast tracking) all those USC living abroad again.. Unlike the ones last year. :/
Wow... We were both living in the Netherlands when we applied for the I-130, however to make sure that the paperwork was sent to right address we chose to fill the new address in the States for my wife (petitioner).. If we just have changed her address after USCIS approval we could have bypassed like 8 months of horrible waiting. #MASSIVEFAIL
:(

How did you get approved in such a ridiculously short period of time?
I'm curious too..
-
Steve - you haven't gotten your interview yet? I'm REALLY surprised!!! Come on Amsterdam!

What do you mean by "wrong batch"? Hopefully today is your day!
There is a group of people on this forum where everything is taking longer than the rest of the applicants. Very sad to be part of this group.
I hope so too, but just called and no news.

My partner went for her Medical today in Brisbane, Australia. We were lucky - they scheduled the exam for her even though we don't have our Case Complete email yet, nor our interview date. Turns out all they wanted was her case number, so we could have gotten her exam done two months ago!
Anyway, I was surprised that they told her it would take seven days for the results, AND, she has to go back to their office to pick it up. It takes us an hour-and-a-half train ride to get into Brisbane.
The receptionist said we could have it mailed to us for an extra $20, but firmly discouraged this method.
I, myself, think that $475 for an exam is an outrage, and having to go back to pick it up is too. However, it is the last "tick" of the box prior to our interview, and for that, we are both thankful.
I see LifeOnHold got her CC email on June 9. That means ours will probably come on June 11. Sure wish we'd get that interview email, though!
I've not seen any interviews given in the last three working days at NVC...
Sukie
Not sure if your assumption is going to last.. I was expecting a CC email yesterday, but so far nothing!
-
19 Files waiting for an interview since receiving a CC May 27th. What the heck???
Sigh... I didn't even receive a CC email yet. I got the feeling that we are in the wrong batch.
-
Thanks, Steve! Now let's see who gets our interview notice first! I did an average of the Australians in dwheels76's list - average 6.3 days from Case Complete to Interview Schedule, and 34.7 days from Case Complete to Interview.
Hope those numbers stick (or get smaller!)...
Snikit - be sure to report when you get your info - I'm thinking both of us should be on the second Tuesday in July.....
Sukie
Where did you find that list??
I think you're going to beat me with this one.. Amsterdam Consulate is quite busy (they say).. Lovemytico mentioned something about July scheduling is over - I think we are going to have our interviews in August.
Did you take into account that everything is taking longer than average these days??
Cheers
Steve
