It's been 5 months since I sent my I-751 application. No update from my end.
Any update from anyone else who filed I-751 with CSC in Dec 2016?
If USCIS sends at least an RFE to any of the Dec 2016 filers, it will give an indication that they have started looking into our I-751 applications. I am eagerly watching this thread to see an update from Dec 2016 filers. 

Well I got them involved with AOS and what normally happens is that you will hear from USCIS first and it will be sorted out and then Ombudsman will email you after the fact. I think it was around 30 days with the Ombudsman if memory serves me correctly. I dont even know why you need an interview to be honest. I dont think they could have messed up your case more if they had actually intentionally tried to do so!

This would be a good document to have saved on your phone or other device when travelling or going to the DMV etc, - It falls to us to educate the people who don't understand the system... we can make life easier for those who come after us!

There have been quite a few posts recently regarding traveling on an expired GC with the one year extension letter.

It also makes clear that the 12 month extension is from the card expiry date, not the receipt date of the I-797.

Just chiming in with our travel experience, my husband (the green card holder) went to Bulgaria for 4 days a couple weeks ago & entered with expired GC & NOA extension letter. I was worried but everything went fine (entered at JFK).

3 months and 14 days since filing today. Time has kinda flown so far 

It was joint (my husband signed it).  Im baffled since they said when i called them today that it could take until december for then to send me a card!!

Ya I went through the April forum and noticed many people who haven't be approved yet and it's been 9 months. 6 to 7 months used to be the norm for California but it has fallen behind as well. Either way I'm sending in that N 400 application the moment my window opens on December 4th and be done with this immigration fiasco. Been a crazy journey all the way from F-1 to this point.

So I was finally able to get to a higher up officer at USCIS asking about our case and why we never got a receipt. She said that biometrics are scheduled Feb 10 (we filed Dec 20) but we still haven't gotten anything in the mail.
 
She gave us the receipt number to track online and all it's showing is case was received and fee waiver was approved.

It is just you for the biometrics.
I went with my spouse but he was just sitting in the lobby. He didn't even enter the service center.

We also get biometrics letter. Looks like VSC sent out biometrics letter to most of Dec filers dated 01/07/2017 with appointment date of 01/27/2017. 

No, and as far as I know it's not going to. People on here have said it's only gonna change when you get an approval. Others have gotten their green card without it ever changing. 
 
I wouldn't bother checking it to be honest. If anything just turn on email/text notifications

I gave the answer. (After a prudent time it should be ok) it is not you fault she passed on. But if you apply tomorrow, it will look suspect??.

The reliance on driving was something I forgot to bring up! Like yourself I didn't drive for a long time back in the UK, I replaced it with cycling, when I moved here my wife has a car so she drove me if I needed to go anywhere, then I also purchase a bike, big mistake trying to cycle around here, people seem to be either completely rude and just honk for no apparent reason other than to be idiots, or from what i've found certain areas are unreachable unless you take a highway (Cycling on 287 isn't fun at all)

Had to post my thoughts in this one, I've been in Texas almost 2 years now (It'll be two years in February since my arrival) and still to this day I cannot say i'm settled here, I've been trying to talk the wife into moving to another state, like many people have said on here, Texas is like a completely different country compared to the rest of the US, my boss at work is from California and through him i've learned that most of the things I find as being a little 'odd' or 'out of the ordinary' aren't American things, they are Texan things.
I'm heading home for Christmas/New Years so i'm hoping that gives me a little boost!

Ahh I just got the Update to say my card was mailed! There we go

Just got the NOA1 text for my EAD renewal... won't be needing that!

GUYS I JUST GOT THE GREEN CARD BEING PRODUCED UPDATE!!!!!!!!

Oh but shell they do! Remember USCIS processes applications in the order that they were received, silly!

The US seems to have too many holidays that only affects government workers, if you're gonna have a holiday at least give us all the day off

SwissAmerican, I called today and he literally told me he has no idea what's happening and that I should wait, its been, I'm on month 9 from filing now, like Derwood said YOU must be the next one!!
