Seems for years no matter what I post, someone always feels the need to move it!

Does anyone have inside knowledge or actual facts on when US citizens are allowed to travel to manila? I’ve heard you need a visa now, I’ve heard we have to be on the green list country, I’ve heard it’s a mandatory 10 day quarantine at a specific hotel. I just really want to go visit my fiancé, the waiting is really hard. Thanks

So basically nothing is a for sure thing. Thanks for your reply.

Is there a country near by that filipinas can travel to with just a passport, and no quarantine and maybe meet that way? Like Thailand or something? Thanks

I’m from the United States. I’ve been to the phillipines before. Never had to have a visa before, do you now? There is so much different info out there. Also it seems like maybe no more 10 day quarantine in your hotel if you’ve got proof of fully vaccinated and within 72 hours travel no Covid test results. I really want to go see my fiancé badly. Please tell me what it takes if anyone truly knows for sure. I can’t afford the cost or time to sit in a hotel for 10 days quarantine of denied entry without a visa. Thank you.....

18 years ago I married a woman from Romania.
it’s was a K3 visa I married her in Romania. Sadly after 9 years and two kids it ended in divorce.
Fast forward to 2015 I married a woman from the phillipines it was a K1 fiancee visa. Sadly after 7 years and one child it ended in divorce.
First divorce ended due to infidelity on my wife’s part. Second divorce she asked me for the divorce to move to alabama to live with her sister. I know your only allowed 2- K1 visas in a lifetime without a waiver. Since technically my first marriage was K3 and my second K1. Would I be able to do a K1 again without a waiver?
Also I understand there is no limit on marriage visas. Please help. Thank you.

isnt the only qualification that she be in the states legaly married for 3 years or longer after receivng her first green card?
still dont understand why we were transfered.

thank you for your time.

we filed the i751 removal of conditions as her 2 year green card was about to expire. we filed in jan 2018, along the way after several months we got a notice saying a biometrics appt. was not necessary, but of course they keep the money. we live in oregon and then in february we get a notice saying it has been transfered to another office back east. why would they do that? we have now been waiting almost 15 months for her 10 year green card.
cant we technically apply for citizenship now even without the removal of cond.
its been over 3 years since she had her first green card.
thanks....

My wife does not work, has never worked here in the states. We have a 7 week old baby, "US" citizen obviously.

Im only applying for "Snap" food assistance. Everywhere Ive read it says its ok, and does not effect immigration.

Im the US citizen, my wife is the green card holder (2yr) I lost my job on Monday. I qualify for food stamps till I get another job. We have ourselves and 3 small children in the home. I filled out the paperwork and had a phone interview, but got paranoid that it could effect our greencard/immigration process. So I withdrew the application. Does anyone know if its ok to get the foodstamps and it wont effect her status as Im the one filing not her. Thanks for your help.

Chances of getting a tourist visa are next to zero, in most poor countrys. Its a scam!!! they take your application money then tell you NO!

if we go back in, just cuz i want her to have a normal ss card with no stamps, will they give her a new one now that she has a 2 yr green card? or would it just be stamped again cuz her green card is only for 2 years? thanks for your response.

My wife applied for a social security card before her AOS interview. She got the ss card before her interview and it is stamped with "good only for work while ead is valid" well now she has her greencard. Should we go back into the ss office and get a new one that dosnt have any stamps on it? I want her to start establishing some credit and dont want some half ### ss card. im not sure if it even has any use towards credit with that stamp. will they give her a new card now that she has a green card? thanks...

Technically your not legal, I was under the same situation, wanted to drive out of state so my wife could visit her sister in Ca. I did not risk it untill i have a receipt at least showing I had filed my AOS. Just my opinion after all we had done to get to this point it is not worth the risk. You could get anybody on a bad day.

i went throught the same exact thing my wife is from a province way in the mountains, no way any mail would get there. just put an address if you have it, you will check constantly online for your interview, you dont have to wait for anything to be sent to her, the only problem is if you need to send her something from you

seriously? i thought this was a joke. people never cease to amaze me.

Well I thought it was all approved and done. The guy was saying how long it will take till we receive the green card, how my wifes name will appear on the card. He handed us a piece of paper when we were all done and said it showed we were here at the interview today. But after getting home and doing research on how long it takes to get the card, I find tons of people given the same paper after they thought they were done as well. Its says your case is being held for review!!!! Its never Frickin over!!!!!!

Got the nicest young man, probably the easiest interview in history. I was well prepared, I brought everything on their checklist. I was ONLY asked for my passport, anything with both names on it, and pictures!!!!!! thats it. No marriage certificate, no how did we meet, no taxes or w-2, no pay stubs, it was awesome!!!!!!! I wish everyone could get this nice man. Needless to say Green card approved!!!!! ??????
