anybody got this message from USCIS today: can someone please tell me what is going wrong....
On February 12, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
With my research and reading bunch of threads this is what I have usually seen:
- Corrections or missing items on any of the forms or submissions
- Prove US citizenship
- Prove bona fides of the marriage with additional evidence
I am not sure if you can call ahead and find out from tier-2 what exactly they are asking for. Might be worth a shot, but you should get a mail soon with the details.
Generally this is good news, your approval will follow shortly after you resubmit what they are asking for.
Good luck.

NOA1/PD Date August 13, 2014.
February 10, 2014: On February 10, 2014, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.
What's next for me?
Been following for a long time, you are all a great help!
You will receive two more sets of Text/Emails over the next 2-3 days. One will say that you have been transferred to your local office (ignore the local office part) and the other will say it's being processed at another USCIS office. Just standard cookie-cutter notices that are sent as they complete the process of the transfer. Look for the hard copy of the transfer notice in the mail over the next 5-7 days, this will tell you which service center the application was transferred to. CSC, TSC, or NSC (don't think they are transferring here any more).
After that we all just wait....
Good luck to you.
-
congrats and hope more of you get transferred, just happy i am not in the NSC black hole.
spreadsheet updated.
spreadsheet updated.
Can you please update mine to indicate transfer to CSC, just got the notice of transfer in the mail today.
-
I just received the hard copy of the transfer. I-130 and 1-129F were transferred to CSC. I think most of the Aug transfers will be to CSC.

Just out of curiosity I called the USCIS today to see what kind of update they would give me on out I-130.....AND all I got was a EXTREMELY RUDE and AGORANTE SOB! Excuse my French! I calmley asked if there was an update on my case he asked for the MSC # he said its for an I130. I said yes, then he said oh it at the NBC. I asked is there a way to know if it will or has been transferred and he proceeded to tell me no there was no way to know that I would have to wait until I got a letter from them saying where it got transferred to, and from the looks of things it would probably be later in the year because they are barely working on March of 2013. I said oook and he said ok blah blah have a good day and hung up!!! I mean serious being customer ser. rep and you hang up without asking if they have any questions
Sorry guys I'm just fuming right now!
Did you talk to a tier-2 rep? The people that answer directly have absolutely no idea about anything. But based on pattern we've seen you should be next up on the transfer, tonight at 7ET could be a good time when we see the next batch of notices going out. Wish you the best.

Did they start working on the transfers from Feb 3rd? This seems to fall into that category of Feb 3rd transfers. I hope we see some action soon.
MSC1391623XXX - On February 7, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.

What you are saying makes sense! I just would be so happy to get an approval before I leave to visit my hubby in India! That would be the best case scenario to me at this point!
Wish you the best. Make sure you have your all of your affidavit of support docs prepared and with you.

Hi all,
Just some random observations.
To note I don't necessarily think our VJ community data is a perfect random sample. However considering the distribution of dates and variety of beneficiary's countries I am going to assume for the sake of argument it is. Focusing on CSC.
Based on dashboard data and our tracking sheets:
July - 46042 Imm Family I-130 receipts
- CSC - 61 % = ~28000 of those 85% are approved or in RFE (46/55). Most of these were done within a month.
- Taking from this that July is almost done at CSC, few resources still to handle the remaining July but mostly onto Aug.
Aug - 44521 Imm Family I-130 receipts (22 working days - ~2025 per Day)
- Jan 22/29 : 1 Day worth of transfers about at CSC VJ 100% Complete (~2k)- Jan 28 : 1 Day worth of transfers to TSC approvals still pending (~2k)- Feb 3 : 5-6 days of transfers .. (~11K)- Feb 6: 3 days of transfers .. (~6K)- About 17k pending at CSC, with another 23k yet to be transferred.CSC did ~27k adjudication per month consistently before they were moved to DACA. Now considering the focus on I130s and the fact that K1 129Fs have been mostly cleared prior to 130 transfers, I expect them to be doing 30 to 35K per month. I expect them to churn through the Aug transfers they already have and anticipate most will continue to be transferred to CSC. Within a month from today Aug should hopefully be 85 to 90% complete. At least I hope.... -
TRANSFERRED BABY!!!!!!!!!!!
Really glad to hear!!

Initial Feb 3rd transfers have reached CSC :-) Maybe we start seeing some approvals tomorrow?! Fingers and toes crossed.
Congrats to all of you who got transferred today!

Did anybody receive the third text/email notice regarding the transfer from the Feb 3rd transfers?

Another example from the emails:
From:Douglas, David MSent:Friday, July 27, 2012 11:22 AMTo:#KAN - CIS; #WIC - CIS; #STL - CIS; # OMA CIS; # DSM Field Office; # SPM Field OfficeSubject:Midsummer UpdateTo all District 15 Employees, Greetings to all of District 15! I thought this would be a good time for me to send out a messagethat might touch on a few topics and reiterate how excited I am to be here with you working towardour shared goals. After having a chance to see each of the offices within the district at least once, Iam aware of your hard work, our challenges, and our opportunities to make decisions and protectthe nation. There are more challenges ahead, of course. I’m sure many of you have been eager to find outmore about how our agency will meet the challenge of the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals”or DACA program as it has become known. I must ask for your continued patience to some extent,as many of the procedures on how these requests will be processed are still being designed. Youcan anticipate more information arriving on August 1st, which the Secretary has designated as theagency’s due date. We will most likely begin allowing requests to be filed in the middle of August. One by-product of DACA will be field offices taking on work that has previously been processed atthe Service Centers. Again, some of the final decisions are still in development, but it appears likelythat the field will be taking on I-130 (IR) cases at least temporarily. In order to prepare for thatwork, we have been challenged with doing everything we can to eliminate older cases andcontinued pending cases so that more time can be devoted to these petitions. To the extentpossible, we need to ensure that our I-485 and N-400 processing times remain within the targeted.....David M. DouglasDistrict DirectorUSCIS District 15, Kansas City -
Hello, I'm working on getting together all of the information that we've come up with that supports our hypothesis about the DACA applications impacting our petitions and previously those of the K1 petitioners. Besides believing that it's a good idea to put all the info in one place, I think that it may help in developing an information packet that we can send out to our representatives. I'd like to include the spreadsheets on here, and our past letters, along with any additional pertinent information regarding the USCIS's performance record that has impacted us (like the absurd RFE's and why we think they're doing it.) Obviously, this is a large volume of information, so any help you could give in helping to find it and post it here would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Kaylara,
I think you might have this info already. Emails from USCIS that specifically state that the I-130 are going to be handled at local offices due to DACA case load.
Following is an FOIA request on an unrelated matter from Judical watch that has lots of good info.
I had sent this along with lots of supporting data to my senator's office.

Due to the volume of DACA work at the Service Center, it has been determined that the field will besent I-130’s to adjudicate. We should get immediate relatives only. I do not know how many we willreceive but we could see them as early as the week of 9/17/12. The field will be responsible forrequesting the A-files. Please let me know when you start receiving them in the mailroom. Thanks,

Hey guys,
I have a question about filing taxes while we’re in the middle of this stuff. I am a U.S. Citizen and my husband resides outside of the country, and we have a pending I-130. It was approved/sent to the NVC on Jan. 13th, and we’re still waiting for NVC to receive/assign us a case number.
I wanted to go ahead and file taxes for 2013 so I have 2011-2013 tax years when they request my income information. However I ran into a roadblock (am using TurboTax). It asks (1) if you are married, (2) for your spouse’s name and (3) their social security number.
Of course at this point none of our spouses would have SSN’s, so I am unsure of how to proceed. I am filing separately but of course need to list that I have a spouse, especially if I’m going to include it in the immigration evidence.
Have any of you had experience with this? Were you able to resolve?
Thanks in advance!!
Hi,
You can use this link for the details.
Generally speaking, you have following options:
- File married but separate - no issues with SSN or TIN
- After filing above you can file a modification - i think you have three years to modify your tax return. By this time you'll have a SSN for your spouse
- File married and joint - you'll have to apply for TIN
http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/International-Taxpayers/Taxpayer-Identification-Numbers-(TIN)
- There are some head of household options but I am not familiar enough with it to comment.
Sorry I misunderstood your question-
In turbotax you have the option to directly input some of the information in the form format. I haven't tried to do it with this specific issue, but you can give it a shot.. Under the 'View' menu option click on Forms rather than step-by-step. Click on the Info Wks and try to modify the SSN to 'NA' or 'unavailable'
Hope this helps.

Just the usual customer service center at 1-800-375-5283
Did you to have to ask for the tier-2 support? I called and the guy told me it was transferred to my local office -- lol (he obviously didn't get the memo). The wait for tier-2 was long... so will be eagerly waiting for the mailman over the next few days :-)

No I got the text about the transfer last wednesday. I only check my mail once a week on Saturday so im not sure when it was mailed out. but on saturday i received the notice and found out it was california. I guess the transfer was initiated by NBC---- I was not aware that anyone else could initiate transfer. good luck to you. and i hope california for everyone
Wow!
You are correct, NBC does all the transfers. I just wanted to figure out if the 29th was when you got the initial text/email or the hard-copy. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I have great news to report. My I-130 was approved!!!!!! All praises to God.
Everything happened within the las week. Last wed, January 29th I received notice that the case was sent to California service center. It actually said it was a local office but when I got the letter in the mail, it said california. at 410 pm yesterday, I received text that case was updated. I went to USCIS website and it was a message that alien registration number had changed. I didnt know what this meant. I looked on visa journey and it said that it meant somebody was looking at the case. it was on someones desk finally. this morning, I got up and I saw they had sent another text at 1045 pm. I checked USCIS website and it said I-130 had been approved.
so it does look like california service center is faster!!!!! that is what i read. so things are finally moving. now i just need to find out what to do next. need to start look at national visa center threads.
Did you receive the hard copy of the transfer notice on the 29th? When was the transfer initiated by the NBC?
Congrats to you and good luck at NVC! Hope the CSC is in the near future for all us Aug filers.
-
Is it reasonable to expect the transfers today and upcoming ones over the next few weeks will be going CSC. Considering how fast CSC turnaround times are they should have a lot better case load than the NSC/TSC where so many application are still pending from last couple of months.
Or do you guys think it's just a #######-shoot and completely random?
