just don't be late to meet her. I got my wife roses also. Remember, be attentive and close to her, she is in a new country with no friends. Help her find Filipino friends so she doesn't feel alone. DON'T ask her to speak English only and allow her chat with her family often on Facebook or Skype. Remember Filipino families are closely knitted. Treat her as an equal and listen to her needs too. Good luck.

like most I did it myself and saved loads of money and time. Just read closely, don't lie and DO NOT try to stress yourself out. We are married almost 2 years and are very happy here in Ohio

sorry to tell you this but mail I use to send to Manila (Pasig) took 2 to 4 weeks. It all depends on where you live, the customs, the weather and Filipino postal workers. Also where your fiancé lives too.
I would send again via FedEx or similar fast delivery (not UPS). Maybe others had better luck than me. I sent all my documents FedEx costing $94 USD

stayed at Mabini for 4 weeks, after first night(old-old room) I requested a much better room and they moved me up to a great room (separate sleeping bedroom) and had a good time there. Near park, Pettersons mall. Taxi drivers tried to over charge me to go to MOA so just ask ask several drivers (should get fare around 160 pesos.
Do not eat there. Mr. Peters (3 shops away) was the best. Also have 7-11 and fast food places near and park is 2 1/2 blocks away. There are several other hotels around there too. Just 10 minute walk to Manila US Embassy and close to St. Lukes.

some Americans do not know Filipino customs. Here, in Youngstown Ohio, they knew that custom and we had no problems. A lot of civil servants aren't trained properly.....just given the job. Sorry for your problem

I would give here a minimum of $250 USD, just a suggestion
for any emergency
-
yes, those are about the right taxes plus 1620 + 550 pesos at Manila airport. Extra baggage fees could also add about 40 usd, if charged. Depending on her layover times will need some food money. I gave my wife $450 usd and she had a little over 330 usd when arriving in Cleveland, Ohio
Good luck

yes, I did and sent them copy of 2014 monthly payment's I would receive from the SS dept

it is the gross income from line 22 on your tax return. I had same issue and called NVC

Garden City or Soriento(miss spelled?). The Mabini is a hit or miss, My first nite there the room was so crappy
-
yes, fire the lawyer or call their firm every hour so he will stop representing you. Your just throwing money away. I decided to do it myself and now my wife is here in Ohio by my side.
We can now use that money to take a vacation instead or create her bank account

my wife has been here for a week under CR1 and still waiting for green card. questions:
can I get her a SSN now and what forms do I need?
does she have automatic right to work or do I need additional forms?
TY for your help
-
the interviewer asked about age difference
ask why I did not pay my previous X alimony
ask how would she know if I would provide for my wife
ask for more chats (my wife brought 10 samples with her)
so basically, in my opinion, asked illegal questions and because of additional chats requested cost us another 5 weeks of waiting. Also, never got text or call from 2GO, they just showed up, thank God my wife was home
Disappointed....homesick already
