  1. I know its the Christmas season and I know that mail is usually backed up during this time of the year...

The thing is, I sent my petition thru express USPS... I'm tracking my package and according to the USPS tracker, it says that my package has been processed at the Origin sort facility in Honolulu on Dec 08. It is now the 12th.

    Is this normal??

I'm worried that my mail might get lost or whatever... ugh

    I'm so worried....

What can I do to make sure everything is ok??

  2. Thanks!!

I guess we still fall under 2 years hehe...

I'm actually waiting for him to send me his g325a and letter of intent... the rest of the petition is done and almost ready.

i hope i have everything in order!!

this is exciting and nerve wrecking. gosh.

    thanks so much!

This having met face-to-face within 2 years prior to filing.. is it really necessary? YES

I ask because the last time I saw my fiancé was when I left the Philippines in June 2012. I came back to Guam because I was done with school, but we've been together for almost 7 years. - You can still file. Requirement is meeting in person at least once within 2 years of filing the petition. But what are you waiting for? FILE NOW?!

January 07, 2014 is our 7th anniversary... We met in Iloilo city 2006. - how long the relationship is doesn't matter, just that you met within 2 years of filing.

Would this still apply to us or does this only apply to the couples who have met online and such? - it applies to any US citizen + foreign citizen that are free to marry.

  4. My F is finally back in the Philippines and I am preparing to submit the I-129F petition.

I'm just totally confused with the whole "A-number".

I received my citizenship back in 1988 when I was just 5 years old. So I have the certificate of citizenship. There are two numbers..

    a) A# certificate number and b) A# INS registration number.

Since I'm a citizen now for the past 25 years, do I need to include this in my petition?

And on for G-325a, what does "File Number, A" mean??

  5. So my F is back in Manila now (he just came from Malay) and we are gathering all he necessary documents to include in the I-129F packet.

I asked him to get his birthcert and cenomar. He picked them up just this afternoon and he noticed on his bc, there is no first name!!

what is he going to do?!

how could nso be so stupid?! his previous bc copies were fine and complete, but this new one... omg

his passport, cenomar, nbi clearance, etc are all fine with full first middle and last names except the most important of all.

    any advice?

i told him to go to the main nso and get it fixed.

i really hope they don't charge him extra for their stupid careless mistake and i hope he doesn't need to have an attorney involved.

this is going to cause a delay in him sending his documents to me, and cause a delay for my to send off the petition.

    jeez.. thanks nso!

(( - i have to admit, i laughed so hard for a good 15 mins when he told me, over the phone, that his first name is missing - ))
