Sorry I know I'm annoying...
I just want to clear things up.
I know I'll be sending the I-129f thru SNAIL MAIL, but what about when I receive?
Will I be receiving my notices thru snail mail or email? What about my fiancé? Snail mail or Email?
And I'm a little bit confused.... what exactly are the packets?
Packet 1,2,3,4?
Is packet 1 the 1-129f? what about the rest?
Ugh.. Sorry... I just want to make sure we have everything needed.

Will do. Thank you.

Anybody else in here from Guam?
I'm a bit confused as to who I make my check payable to.
The website says to make it payable to Department of Homeland Security unless I live on Guam or the Virgin Islands.
Can anyone inform me as to who I would make my check out to?
And for Guam residents, after we send our application packet to the Texas lockbox, where does it go from there?

ya that does make sense.. but you know sometimes.. these agencies/the govt like to make u run around in circles.
anyway thanks so much.

Govt shutdown?!

Really thats all?
I was reading several different sites and they were saying about applying "transfer of visa" and another site said that as long as the passport is not valid anymore, then the visa is not valid as well.
ugh this is really frustrating.. but i hope you're both right!
thanks so much

Ok I need help...
My fiancé, who is currently in Malaysia, is planning to go back to the Philippines by Oct.
His passport expires in December 2013, but he already has a new one.
the problem is that his valid visa (expires November 2013) is on the old passport.
Now... is it safe for him to fly back to the Philippines by showing the OLD and NEW passports together?
Or...
Does he have to fill up some forms to transfer the visa to the new passport or apply for a new malaysian visa in order to get out of malaysia.
this is so frustrating because i want him to go home at least by the 2nd week of Oct but it feels like this may cause a delay.
I know for US Citizens its not so hard.
Ugh..
Please help.. I'm so worried about his situation because I'm all the way here on Guam and the most I can do is research for him because he doesn't know about these immigration things.
omg im in panic mode.

I live with my parents, but I don't pay anything except my car and my own bills.
I earn about $19000 a year before taxes...
For the poverty guidelines where it says family size... Would that just mean ME & my Fiance who will be coming?
I don't have any dependents on my tax.

OH ok thank you...!!

When you receive an email notification from USCIS...
what does it say on the "From" and "subject"
I have a habit of deleting anything that isn't from a friend/coworker/boss/bank/etc..
I need to know so I don't end up deleting a notification from them
Thanks =)

We're going to start our journey soon. Right now, I'm starting to gather all the necessary documents.
I'm Kit. I'm originally from Iloilo Philippines, but I was raised on Guam since I was 1. I moved to the Philippines in March 2006 to attend college. I actually started college really late, at the age of 23. My fiance Richard "DJ Crack" is also from Iloilo.
October 2006 I was in my room, on the 2nd floor of my cousin Karen's house. We were both standing by the window looking out, when I looked down, I noticed her husband was talking to some guy. Out of curiosity (nothing more) I asked her who that guy was. She said he's the other dj that works with Garry at Club Pirates and he lives just outside of our street. For whatever reason, my cousin started to smile really big and get all excited. "I think he's single. I'll get his number from Garry and you text him" she said. So she took my cellphone pretending to be me, she started typing out a really long introduction. I don't remember what it said, but she kept insisting that I text him everyday until he replies. A week goes by and no reply. Garry later tells me its because Crack was on a ship for his 'navigational tour' for school so he can't reply.
One afternoon, before the start of semester break, I was at school waiting around to get all my clearance forms signed off by my teachers. I receive a text from Crack, introducing himself. Since then for two weeks we were just texting until such time that we both decided that it was time for us to meet. He invited me the 1st year anniversary / Halloween party of the club where he was working at. I can honestly say that I almost backed out, so glad I didn't.
That night was sort of a blur because I was getting myself drunk while I was waiting for him to approach me. I figured that with the alcohol in me, I won't be so shy.
The next day and everyday for 2 months, we were inseparable. He became a really good friend, thats all I saw him as. I come from a huge group of friends, a mix of guys and girls, so I was used to have a lot of very close male friends. That's all I saw him as, until Garry mentioned to me that Crack had fallen for me. It came as a complete shock.
Fast forward to New Year's eve 2006. We confessed how he felt and a week later I decided to give it a chance. January 7, 2007 we became official.
Our relationship has been a complete roller coaster ride. We have so many highs and just as many lows, but what relationship doesn't? He moved to Manila in 2010 and I would make it a point to see him at least once a year. In December 2011 we traveled to Malaysia together to attend the wedding of our good friend. The last time I saw my fiance was June 2012 just before I came back to Guam for good.
Now that I'm back on Guam, working, saving money, and trying to get my life in order. I can't see myself raising a family and making a good living in the Philippines. So I'm excited to finally be able to start this process. I know its going to be a very overwhelming journey, but it'll be worth it in the end!!
Thanks for reading

ok thanks..
i just want to make sure i have more than enough info
-
actually the last time we saw each other in person was right before i left the philippines last year june 2012.
i guess i shouldn't worry because we have a lot of hard evidence, but you never know.
anyway thank you all for your replies. this has helped me alot and put my mind at ease for now... until a new issue pops up!
thank you all!

I have the same problem! Did you ever find out?
I hope someone in here can help us.
I was thinking of including copies of my PI passport in addition to my US passport and just attaching a sheet that explains the issue with the visa stamp.
But I don't know.. I want to hear other member's opinion first because I do it.
-
Hehe... we have a long history.
That was not our first time together.
We've known each other since October 2006 and we became a couple in January 2007.
I was born in Iloilo Philippines, but my family and I moved to Guam when I was 1yr old.
I went back to Iloilo city to attend college in June 2006. So I had to re-claim my Philippine citizenship because the school I attended does not accept foreign citizens.
My fiance is also from Iloilo city.
2011 was just our first time to travel to another country together.

I am a citizen of US (naturalized) and Philippines (born)
December 2011 I traveled to Sabah, Malaysia for 5 days with my fiancé to attend a wedding.
I was looking at my US Passport and apparently, I didn't present my US passport at the Malaysian Immigration window.. Instead I presented my Philippine passport. When I checked my Philippine passport, the visa stamp was there.
Now my question is this...
Should I present a copy of the pages of my Philippine passport ??
I am including our pictures from Malaysia as well as my flight itineraries in my I-129F petition packet so I want to know if it is safe to include these pictures.
Hmm.. Please help.
-
You do not need the US birth certificate and all the page of the US passport, or the naturalization and all pages of the US passport. You need either a copy of your US birth certificate, naturalization OR all pages of US passport. Only one form of documentation is required for proving citizenship.
thanks... i'll just go with my passport. so much easier.

I see...
Regarding the Affidavit of support...
Right now I make a little bit above minimum wage and if I have my dad be a co-sponsor for my fiance, he will sign the affidavit on behalf of my fiance or me?
And thank you.
-
Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Hi all... I'm starting to fill up the I-129f forms, but Im a bit confused
I'm going to petition my F from the Philippines and I want to know exactly what I need to include in the I-129F packet
I understand the basic stuff like the:
- Cover letter
- I-129f petition form
- G-325a biographic info (both)
- G-1145
- Letter of Intent (both)
- 2 2x2 pics (both)
- Proof of our on going relationship
- Letters, chat logs, boarding passes, text messages, etc
- Affidavit of support
- Birth certificate (both)
- FC-029
- Explanation of how we met
NOW THE PART THAT CONFUSES ME...
Does he have to sign and mail the following forms to me to be included in my I-129F packet before I send it off to USCIS?? or... are these documents for him to submit to the US Embassy in Manila??
- DS-156
- DS-156K
- DS-157
- DS 158
I'm sorry... The reason why I'm asking is because different people are telling me different things and I want to clarify. I would hate to receive a RFE because I know that would just delay the process.
PLEASE HELP.
Thanks!!

So the I-134 along with paystubs, tax documents, and employment letter is only to be presented when my fiance goes to his interview?
