Had my interview today, it all went relatively smoothly. My interview was at 10:10 am in Portlsnd, though we arrived at 8:30am or so. Waited until 10:30 ish until they called me. The interview itself was pretty short. The IO said I could do a sameday ceremony and told me to come back at 1:30pm. [He also mentioned that if I was to do the Oath on a different day that it would be scheduled in Seattle, not Portland]
About, 30 mins before the Ceremony, I got a voicemail stating they had cancelled it due to technical issues and that we would get letter in the mail with a scheduled date.
I can't believe I am SO lucky that the day I go in their certificate printer breaks lol. The USCIS website says my case has been approved, and it says I have a 3 month waiting time. I guess we'll see what happens.

Interview Scheduled notice today!
Priority Date: January 26, 2019
Will update Date and location when I can see the letter.
Completition time still said Aug 2019 as of last Sunday, now I don't see one. Somehow doubt it will all happen in the next 3 days... lol
That was fast ...
Interview scheduled for October 7th, 2019 at 10:10 am in Portland, OR.
Priority Date: January 26th, 2019

Where else could I have applied? xD

Wait... what?! So they’re skipping over all the aug-dec 2018 folks??!
I don't know? Maybe it's becasue I got transfered?

Just checked the USCIS website and it seems there has been a change in my completition time.
Estimated case completion time
Before it said: December 2019 (4 months)
Now it says: August 2019 (1 month) [This HAS to be a mistake right?]
Estimated wait time
Before it said: 3 months
Now it says: We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.
My Priority Date: January 26, 2019
Case got transfered [somewhere, unsure if Yakima or Portland]: June 7th, 2019
These times seem crazy! How can I have a completion time of a month if I haven't even had my interview scheduled? Oh well... Anyone else experiencing these crazy updates?
-
@Eqzee Mine also transfered on June 7th, still no letter.
Applied Jan 26th, 2019 and the website says the Estimated case completion time: December 2019 (5 months) and Estimated wait time: 3 months.
I wish they'd tell us where they have transferred already. :x

Received my Bio apt letter today on the mail. They have scheduled it for Feb 20th, there is a 50% chance of snow that day. Has anyone had their apt in these past few days? Were they even opened? I really don't want to drive there in bad weather.

Got an update on my case today, it seems my biometrics has been scheduled.

Just applied. hopefully this goes smoothly...

So, I was wondering if any of you have had a similar experience ... here is what happen...
We filled for AOS May 2014 ... so we have been waiting for a LONG while. There had been NO updates since the fee was accepted.
My husband lost his job early August (2015)... We were worried about my immigration status because he wouldn't be able to support me and all that...
Long story short, we decided to move from Iowa to Washington and stay with family while he looked for jobs there. It all happened rather fast, so I didn't get to file change of address until we arrived here. Aug 28
The day AFTER we filled I got approved .... Well they ended up mailing the card before the change of address got processed (we even called and told the it might happen and they told us nothing could be done).
Now, we had mail forwarding with USPS but we were unsure it would actually forward. The tracking number showed the card was DELIVERED (old zip code) on September 8 and so does the USCIS website. We had a friend check our old mailbox and he said it was empty ... We rechecked the tracking number and it did not say delivered anymore it said forward (on Sep 8). Ever since there has been no updates.
I got my forwarded Welcome letter last week and I figured since they were mailed only like 3 days apart that the GC would be in the mail soon. Well it has been over a week now. I am unsure of what to do.
Is the card being forwarded here? Or to USCIS? ... Is it lost?!?!?!
I don't know what to do. We have called USPS and the post office that forwarded the envelope and both have been most unhelpful.
Anyone been in this situation before?
Thanks =/

anyone know the average wait time for the waiver?
-
I am back ... It has been a hectic 2 weeks in Peru.
We got back yesterday to find a LOVELY Possible Interview Waiver letter.... yeeei
So 6 more months....
-
I don't think you can get the interview waiver letter if your case has already moved to Testing and Interview.
For what I understand your status doesn't change on the website at all!
-
I moved to Testing&Interview a month ago and still dont have a date, plus dont want to have waiver either
Well, you have moved to Testing and Interview, I don't think you get any status updates when you get the Interview Waiver Letter on the mail. Also, I think you should probably call? Maybe the letter got lost on the mail or something? You should have your interview date by now! =/

Hihi
Good luck with everything.
I went through the process in October 2013.

Oath Ceremony after case transfering. ETA accurate?
in US Citizenship General Discussion
Posted · Edited by Mari26
Hi!
I have found myself in a tough spot, entirely my fault by the way... but this is where I am and I was hoping someone out there might have some advice.
I had my citizenship interview on October 7th, 2019. My case was transfered from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR due to USCIS' attempt to even case loads. Everything went smoothly, I got approved and was offered a sameday Oath but if I chose not to, he said the Oath would be scheduled in Seattle.
About, 30 mins before the Ceremony I got a call, as it turned out their certificate machine was not working and they had to cancel the ceremony.
The estimate case completition time now says January (3 months) on the website, the status also shows as 'We approved your application' and hasn't even changed to 'You are in line for the Oath Ceremony'. I have also seen someone who had an interview in Seattle (not Portland) on the same day as me already received their Oath Ceremony date, and also someone who also got transfered to Portland have to wait around 3 month until their Oath Ceremony date.
Well, here is the deal. I had bough some plane tickets on my married name. The airline is saying that to change the name to my maiden name (non-US passport) I have to pay a fee and then they'd re-issue the ticket and I'd have to pay the difference (the trip is around Christmas time so you can imagine that prices are getting higher the closer we get to the date).
I have tried calling USCIS to request an appointment at my local office and the lady I spoke to was very short from the begining, I don't even think she was listening to anything I was saying, and basically told me 'yeah, tough luck'.
So here I am wondering if there is anything I can do, other than wait to see if I get lucky (though as you have seen my luck is pretty lacking). The fact that all this is happening because a printing machine broke is frustrating beyond I can express. I am not sure what to do, or if there is even anything I CAN do, besides beating myself over not buying the ticket on my maiden name.
Anyway, if any of you have some words of advice I'd be very greatful!
Thanks
