I've been waiting for my interview date since March 26th, but my local office is Atlanta GA which is one of the more back-logged offices. They are just doing November filers currently, so I probably won't hear anything for at least 2 more months.

That's what's confusing....the fact that it keeps changing, I was in the middle of a change and filled out DS160 AND DS260........ (Der me)....... I had my interview and the DS260 wasn't even mentioned..... I think they know that it is confusing some people so as long as you have the DS160 when you go for the interview it will be fine, that's what they ask for before you get inside the embassy so they can check you off the list, then you'll be asked for it again inside the embassy....... Hey May filers! Just giving the update that our visa was approved at the interview today! I was so happy, and tense I had to go for a run when I got home, lol. It's still really surreal. We are very very thankful that our case only took just over 3 months from the time we filed, although it felt like so much longer. Thanks again to you guys for all your help and support. I wish everyone still waiting all the best. You'll be there before you know it.

Thank you..... I have put myself into quarantine and won't be going anywhere till the symptoms have gone and have stayed gone for at least 72 hours.... I would hate to pass this on to anyone.... I'm just glad that if I had to have it I have it now rather than the week I am due to fly......

Just returned from interview....... We were approved...... It took just over to hours from the time I arrived to queue (only about 5 people in front of me) to the time I walked out of the door looking like the Cheshire Cat!

Thank you all so much for your help, advice and support I couldn't have done it without you's ( well I could but it would have taken much longer)

We rode the coach in from Oxford....well actually from the Thornhill Park and Ride instead of the station near Gloucester Green in Oxford.

Do you know you don't have to go all the way to Victoria? Most of the Oxford coaches have a stop on Park Lane near Marble Arch before going all the way down to Victora Station. Saves you time and just a short walk to the embassy.

Yes thank you Nich Nick, I always get off the oxford tube bus at marble arch..... I have lived just outside of Oxford most of my life so I know London pretty well.... It just saves messing around with busses in the morning to get to Oxford as I don't drive and I don't want to wake my son up at 4 am.....?

I am really excited, thought I would be nervous but it came out of the blue so I haven't had time to think about it..... All I know is I could still be with my fiance by thanks giving. ?

I got a call from London Embassy this morning..... They received and logged my (held up) medical results at 10am then at 10.30 I got the call to say they had just had a couple of cancellations and could I make it to the embassy tomorrow morning at 08.30 for my interview?........... He'll yeah I can make it!!! ?.

I am still in shock!!!!!! Off to a hotel in Oxford for the night then bus journey at 5am tomorrow should give me time to get to goulds and drop off my bag of belongings....?

Hey Anne..... Ask the gp receptionist to fax the info to knightsbridge instead of sending it through the mail...... I had to have a ct scan and the hospital faxed it through for me.... The embassy got the results today and 10 minutes after my case status date changed (from them logging my results) I received a call from the London Embassy telling me they had a couple of cancellations and could I make it to my interview tomorrow morning at 08.30...... I jumped at the chance, I still can't believe it! I am just packing my overnight bag then off to hotel in Oxford for the night for a 5am bus journey to London ........ I'm so excited!!!

It's the mothers maiden name on the birth certificate so I'm sure it will be maiden name on forms......

Has anyone made a mistake with the DS-160? My fiancee is in a panic because he thinks (only after submitting) that he waz supposed to give them his mother's married name and not her maiden name. He gave them her maiden name. Do you think this will cause a problem if he tells them at the interview?

I'm sure it's mothers maiden name, that's what I filled in
