  1. Great news hopefully for you all too..... I think we were all transferred around the same time.... ( ours August 8th)....

Out petition was approved yesterday (11th) received email at 02.50 this morning...... All but two in my small batch of numbers were also approved... (9 numbers around mine in total)......

Now comes the NVC wait..... But at least the worst part is over.....

I know it's not easy waiting when later filers are being approved and I won't tell you to be patient because I know how difficult I found it ( but hang in there guys)..... I can't be much longer if you were transferred the beginning of August..... I have my fingers crossed for you all ....... Good luck, keep us updated.....

My case was touched today! Got a notice that said, "On September 12, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case."

Neither I nor my fiancé have made an address change, so I'm not sure what it is about. I checked the two EAC case numbers before and after mine and one of the before and one of the after were actually approved!!!!! (Of the others, one hadn't changed and one was an RFE).

So I'm bummed that mine wasn't approved, but maybe heading in the right direction? Not sure.

Your NOA date is a week after ours so I'm thinking you'll hear something within 2 weeks.

    Noa 1 on Jun 17

  2. Right there with you blackcajun. I see even August filers getting approved and i gotta say it hurts!

I was in the same boat as you guys till yesterday.... May filer, transferred August 8th, I was so upset seeing June July and August filers being approved so I emailed here:

uscis.webmaster@dhs.gov and got a reply (I told them not happy seeing later filers being approved) then a week or so later we get approved..... Not sure if it had anything to do with email or not but worth a try........

I won't tell you to be positive because I know how difficult it has been...... Sending positive vibes to you and keeping my fingers crossed for all the may filers... Good luck

  3. I wouldn't worry if your case hasn't been touched. The last thing before we got approved was just our Alien Registration # being changed a couple days after our NOA1. Not all cases get 'touches'. :)

Thanks kc247 I hope we get something soon..... Anything...please...?

Going to bed now..... Tomorrow is another day..... (Another day closer to being with my baby). Goodnight all

  4. I would be happy with a touch...... Filed may 28th, NOA1 June 10th, transferred to Texas August 8th, touched August 13th..... Since then nothing.... So it's 15 weeks today since we filed.... This waiting is getting very frustrating, especially when we're seeing June, July and August filers getting approved.... I'm beginning to think we have been forgotten.....?

We also signed up for text and email alerts and have not received either since getting our NOA1

  5. 3.1.1)...So how does the whole I-129f petition process work and how does my petition get to the consulate/embassy?

A..I-129f petitions are sent to a USCIS Service Center where, once received and processed, a "receipt" Notice of Action (NOA) Form I-797 (often called NOA1) is created and sent to the original petitioner (US Citizen). This NOA1 is your proof that the Service Center has received your petition. At this point the I-129f resides in the mail/storage facility of the Service Center until it is due to be processed by an adjudicator. The time this takes depends on how many petitions are ahead of you and the rate at which they are processed. Typically entire boxes of I-129f's are moved into the adjudication office and distributed amungst adjudicators as they request more to be completed. Each adjudicator is given a stack to process. As they run out another box is brought in. Since each adjudicator may process at different speeds petitions may be adjudicated (to a degree) out of the order on the original NOA1 (I-797).

Just found this might give a little hope to those who have seen petitions around theirs touched but not their own (like myself).... If petitions around yours are being touched it means that yours shouldn't be far behind..... Keep ya chin up!!!! ?

  6. today I'm feeling grumpy that we haven't received our NOA2 yet- even though it just been there for 3 months.

its kind of making me bitter about this whole process. most days I'm fine- today I'm grumpy.

I just our petition just sitting on someones desk and they are to distracted playing angry birds to review it. or, it hasn't been unpacked from the VSC transfer. just review our petitions!!

I feel better now getting it all out ;)

Your dates are the same as ours for NOA1 and transfer to Tx..... What's the last 5 numbers of your receipt? ...... I think we're gonna hear something within the next two weeks......at least I'm hoping. Keep ya chin up! ?

  7. ITo help improve customer service, we seek feedback from our customers, stakeholders, and affiliated agencies to help identify issues that directly affect you. Email the Ombudsman Liaison Unit at OLUInquiries@dhs.gov. Please explain your concern, question, or suggestion as clearly as possible. Regrettably, we cannot post any inquiries online if they have case-specific or personal information in them.

I just saw this on the uscis website so I have sent an email to ask about the way applications are processed and why the newer filers are being approved before older files are being processed....

    Maybe I'll get a reply, maybe I won't. It's worth a try....

It's the not knowing what's going on that is so frustrating...

I actually got a reply, I was very surprised ...?

    Good morning,

You are correct that, while some cases may be more complicated than others, USCIS aims to process cases on a first-in, first-out basis. Unless it was expedited, I would be surprised if a case filed in August had already been adjudicated. USCIS did transfer some cases from the Vermont Service (VSC) to the Texas Service Center (TSC) to improve overall processing times. It obviously took some time to ship the cases to the TSC and then unpack them, but I believe the TSC should be close to the 5-month processing time.

    Sincerely,

    Drew Geary
