  1. What will happen........... I had my medical in london on the 1st October, my x ray was a disaster, I had 2 and was told I need a ct scan to determine what a shadow is on my right lung..... The Dr and the radiologist both said it doesn't look like cancer. I have hospital appointment on Monday 14th October, what will happen if I have to undergo more tests? I was ready to have interview and book my flight, I am devestated

  2. I just read this on the DOS website......

    http://m.state.gov/md214880.htm

    C. Consular Operations Domestically and Overseas: Consular operations domestically and overseas will remain 100% operational as long as there are sufficient fees to support operations. However, if a passport agency is located in a government building affected by a lapse in appropriations, the facility may become unsupported. The continuance of consular operations in such instances will be treated on a case-by-case basis by the Under Secretary for Management.

  3. So sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I meant you wouldn't be getting an interview already assigned and it was not normal to expect one based on that status. So I kinda outlined the general plan of how it goes before the embassy sends out the Interview.

Thanks Nich-Nick I am glad that you did explain, my head has been all over the place this week.... My fiance is in the process of moving ( we just bought a house), he is also in the process of changing jobs, the dog was sick so had to go to the vet, my son was in an accident (thankfully no one injured) of all people with a police officer ( it was the police's fault and they have claimed liability) and this too, it's all been a little crazy, I appreciate your explanation...thank you....

    ?

  4. Do not worry, I paid for my interview early, as long as you have your case number its ok and you must have as you have scheduled your medical.

The bit about your interview being scheduled by NVC is what they say to everyone but does not apply to K1, London will schedule that

Keep the receipt for MRV fee as they will ask to see it at interview

Thank you nobbie I was feeling quite ill thinking I could have messed everything up...... Yes I do have our case number and the Invoice ID number...... So what do I do now? Go to medical on Tuesday then ????? Wait to send off any forms to the embassy until I hear from them? So confusing.......

(By the way, Nobbie is a great name, it's my dad's nickname) ?

Thanks again for putting my mind at rest.

  5. Called NVC got Invoice ID number but now they tell me our case is in AP. Anyone know how long it is likely to be there?

Now I have both LND number and Invoice ID number (and I have medical booked for Tuesday, all forms ready and police certificate in hand) do I fill in DS 260 on line now or wait till our case is transferred to London consulate?

Thanks in advance for any advice...... My head hurts! ?

  6. Just got my rfe hard copy in yesterday. They are asking for intent to marry. Anyone have any tips or a good sample of the letter? I'm also sending my price quotes for the places I asked to hold the wedding dinner at, along with rings and my tux quote. Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks best of luck to everyone

This is pretty much what we wrote, don't forget you need to send a copy from each of you so names etc will need to be changed, hand write them, don't print and don't forget to sign and date them both........ Good luck
