I'm not sure how it works over there, but i don't think i was even drug tested here. i just said no to previous drug use and that was it i think. Unless they did it and just didn't mention it because i passed. Also, i was given the test results before you have to hand them in with your application. I'm assuming they got sent straight to immigration there? otherwise whats to stop you from "losing" the envelope and going in for a new physical in a couple weeks? Just a thought.
I know that when i went for mine, i never smoked for that month but was still around ALOT of smoking. 3 days staying at a friends place for a mardis gras parade thing, where everyone (like 6 people) were smoking constantly,and then the weekend before my exam we both went to a sublime concert. Which was just a room full of hundreds of people smoking blunts for 3 hours.
If, like you say, you have never smoked before in your life, and it was infact passive smoking, it should have been out of your system within a couple of weeks, at most. Drink water and do excercise. If you are a regular smoker, or your douche bag friends did infact feed you some, then you might wanna get your shoes on and start running those fat cells off. lol

Thanks for posting this. I've seen a few jobs im pretty sure it get and it kills me to pass them up because i can't work yet. It's good to know that once i get everything sent in i can try my luck if the perfect position comes along.
We moved in June for my wife's new job but haven't been able to get our own place again yet. Had to pay for the move, then a wedding, then immigration fees, and international student fees. I wish I could contribute.
We are living with the in-laws at the moment and its driving me CRAZY. Im pretty sure 90% of people would agree that its hardship hahaha.

I fastened the i130 as one and the i485 package separately. Then i put in tabs at the bottom for the forms and supporting documents. Ours was like 3-4 inches thick, so this was the most organized way to do it for me.
Oh well, it was accepted, so i guess as long as its in order it won't matter what you use. Lol

No it is not. You need to check with the state where you want to get married in order to determine if they allow you to marry under their laws.

Wow your international advisor is a moron. Don't write them a letter. If you don't want to go to school anymore you are not required to. As soon as you hand in your forms to adjust you don't have to maintain student visa status if you don't wish to. Don't lie for them.
Tell your advisor to go into their computer and their is a section to "cancel student visa" they go in there and then it will have a drop down menu asking for the reason why. There is a adjustment of status option to click. Once they do that they have done all they need to on their end.

Sorry about your situation. I know it doesn't matter now, and maybe im wrong, but it seems to me that you obviously had doubts about him way before you were going to get married. Already in therapy together just to learn to get along? I can't understand why you would want to work that hard at loving someone. I know you say a relationship is hard work but I can tell you that it's not. And it's not meant to be. He obviously wasn't the one for you, and I'm sure you probably knew it deep down. But, I understand wanting to be loved. Just know that there is an amazing kind of love out there waiting for you. When you find it you will probably look back and realise you dodged a bullet with this one..
